“Local favorite. Can’t go wrong. It’s not cheap, but worth it. I’d pass on the scallion pancakes. They barely have scallion or scallion flavor. But my main gripe is please hire competent behind the POS. Why am I asking 2 and 3 times if an order was received? Why are you answering “hello?” Instead of Handpulled Noodle? And why are you saying the restaurant is on 148th? Lol it’s in on Broadway between 148th and 149th. Just a very bizarre experience on a Friday night.“

This place is a dive bar. If you like dive bars it's 5/5 but the atmosphere is nothing special.

The beer cheese spread, however, IS something special. As far as I can tell it's just shredded cheddar blitzed together with beet and a little hit sauce but it's incredible. You get a bunch of slices of dense crusty toasted bread and some raw garlic cloves with it. You rub the garlic over the bread to get some garlic on it then spread the cheese over it and something magical happens. The toast is dense enough that it scrapes garlic off the clove more than you would think and that spicy garlic plus the cheese spread is just awesome. Like all the beT recipes it is simplicity itself yet the result is many times more than the sum of the parts.

Beer selection is pretty good too.“

After looking at many places on Columbus that just didn’t thrill us, we were SO happy to find the incredibly delicious Mexican cuisine at Nina’s last night I had the Cochinita Pibil (with an orange habanero salsa on the side that will let you know who’s boss…) and my old friend had Enchiladas Mole with chicken. Excellent and authentic food with warm, friendly staff, and a great bar selection with many tequilas. Nina’s is great! Reasonable too! Glad to give credit where it’s due to this 7mo old establishment that I hope stays for many years! Will return for more!“

“I first went here before a show a few years ago and I had a phenomenal experience then. I had a braised short rib dish of some kind, and it was delicious.

On my birthday, I had plans to see a movie at the AMC and this restaurant was the first place I thought of for a late breakfast/lunch. I got the mushroom/spinach omelette with their potatoes (which I specifically ordered well done, and they did it PERFECTLY), and a side of their sausage. DELICIOUS. The black and white malted milkshake was as satisfying as I could’ve expected.

I went again a couple weeks later for another lunch, and had an even better experience. The corned beef hash and eggs was truly incredible. My partner also loved her huevos rancheros. Benny at the bar remembered us from our last visit, and gave us the best service you could ever ask for both times.

“What a delightful little breakfast/brunch place!!! We went here straight from the airport on our way into town, luggage and all, and it was perfect! We sat in the little outside area with the fans because the A/C was broken inside. My mom ordered the Grey Dog’s Breakfast with her eggs scrambled, French toast, and bacon, and it’s served with home fries. I ordered the egg and cheese croissant minus the parsley (not my fave) and added bacon. I’m picky about my home fries, so the server offered me french fries instead. We had exactly zero complaints about our meal. The portions are big, the eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly, and the French toast had this sweet butter with it that I can’t even compare to anything because it was so unique and delicious. The home fries ended up being DELICIOUS. The French fries were also good. I enjoyed the seasoning on them as well. I’m not a big fan of the thing shoe string fries, but these were good! The three employees we encountered were all very friendly and I would be more than happy to eat here again any time.“

“The spicy chicken biscuit omg toooooo die for so my husband and I saw many people entering this spot plus it was our first time. We heard mac and cheese, greens, and fried chicken. So we got a bucket of mixed chicken, two sides of Mac and cheese, and some collard greens (they make them with black eyed peas and tomatoes; totally different from any kind of greens I ever had and I definitely was left craving more. Nice little spot and such friendly people. Heading back very soon“

“I come to this location often and each time, the food is excellent but what keeps me coming back is the extraordinary staff and immaculate customer service. So I came in today and they were swamped. Food delivery drivers waiting for orders, people on line. I saw like 10 trays of food getting packed up lined up. Although he was working, Walen immediately looked up and acknowledged me. “How you doing sir, I’ll be right with you, my apologies.” He packed up the orders and started to take my order. I had 3 create your own orders. Although they already had a lot going on Walen took my order, still being pleasant and patient. Then as I headed to the register, Lonnie who was also getting to go delivery orders out, stopped and said I’ll be with you in one second. I told her I was in know rush because I see you guys have a lot going on. Nonetheless, she packed up the to go order in seconds, rang me up with a smile and said she always appreciates me coming. It’s like this each and every time I come. No matter how busy it is, I’m acknowledged, greatly warmly and I feel like my dollar is well appreciated. Walen and Lonnie have taken care of me in this manner many times and there’s also a young tall darker-complexion gentleman that is just as fantastic. I hate to describe him that way but I didn’t get his name.“

“I have been looking for great tacos and happy hour drinks in this neighborhood for a while, and this is the spot! Sit at the bar, order the Tacos del Dia (you can order a combo of different ones) and enjoy. Such an obvious pleasure that few places get right anymore.“

“I came here on a Saturday around 1:30 PM and was able to snag a seat at the counter! I ordered the Mera Mera dipping soba and cucumber salad, and the food came out pretty quickly. The cucumber salad was refreshing and crunchy, while the soba was served piping hot! The dipping broth sits over a flame, keeping it hot throughout the meal. The soba noodles were chewy with a nice al dente bite, and the broth was packed with umami flavor. My only wish was that there was more meat in the broth, but overall, it was a delicious meal! You can also add more toppings to the broth, extra charge.

“This was about a 10min drive from our hotel and the unlimited mimosas made it appealing from the start but the food was AWESOME! Unlimited mimosas added another layer and we were pleased and lit by the time we left. When I tell you it’s worth every dime it truly is so please go. The service is good and they will check in considering it’s a 90minute unlimited mimosa thing BUT all good. Don’t feel rushed because they don’t push you out and again the ladies will make sure you’re good to go. Chelsea is the way to go! We had two rounds!“

“EDIT: I’ve had a fantastic conversation with the owner. The customer service and measures taken to rectify the situation was above and beyond. It is the bet response for a small business.

My colleague and I visit here several times a month because the food is so tasty.
The portion is hit or miss. Sometimes it’s a lot and other times it’s a little.
What’s consistent is the nasty attitude of one particular server. Never a smile, always a sharp, low impatient monotone tone. Every time she is the one to take my order I cringe, tense and ensure not to match her energy. Today I couldn’t take it anymore because today I didn’t get the kimchi I craved, that I asked for twice. Instead I got dry lettuce and some sort of sauce on it in a bowl.“

“Modern twist on Taiwanese food. I ordered the chicken cutlet and rice separately as their dine in and take out menu differ for lunch at least on a weekday. The chicken cutlet is very flavorful and juicy which balanced well with the rice. Highly recommend the apple cider that is fizzy and slightly sweet which is very refreshing. One of the servers could have been friendlier.“

“Took my parents here for Mothers Day and had arranged to meet my brother in law and his wife for lunch. We had 1 PM tickets to the Whitney across the street so we there at 11 when it opened and waited about 10 minutes for my BIL. Sitting outside not in the tent felt like NYC, the noises, the people, smells were typical New York. The food was great too.“

“I didn't try any drinks here because I'm not much of a coffee person, but I did get a cookie and hang around to get some work done. They have a good amount of tables and a table for working but it was quite packed when I came in around 3/3:30. The cookie was very good!“

“The popcorn soft serve is actually so good. I thought at first it was going to taste like pure butter, they’re is actually a nice balance of butter, salt, and a flavor that can only be described as butterscotch I suppose. They also stack this ice cream super high, so for the price you really get your money’s worth. I also got the bag of biscuits. They were buttery and tasted really homemade. I honestly ate the whole bag in a day because they were so good. The butter they came with was also really good. I can’t wait to come back here so I can try more!“
