“If you get tired of the standard cart fare of hot dogs and halal the Cheong Fun Cart is a nice option. I got a big rice roll filled with beef and scallions for $3.50. It's best eaten immediately to preserve the bouncy texture. You can head to Elizabeth Street Garden which is apparently never going to become affordable senior housing but nonetheless is a nice place to perch with some rice rolls.“

“Good late night snack, in a bit of a sketchy street so be aware. I’d recommend the Lamb on a stick, chicken on a stick, and beef on a stick. My friend liked the pork on a stick and shrimp on a stick too. Great workers, will be coming back!“

“I've tried a handful of spots at Urban Hawker, but this one might just be my favorite.

I've tried their Chicken Cutlet Curry Rice and their Grilled Chicken Curry Rice. Both are so good. I can see why their curry sauce is in half their menu lol. The curry is not too spicy, and the flavors just hit. It pairs really well with the chicken, whether grilled or cutlet. They also add an immense amount of cabbage. I am a big fan of vegetables, so I always love when restaurants give generous portions of it in a dish.

I'm honestly so stoked to come back and try their Hainanese Fish and Chips (saw many great reviews about).“

“This guy is a real gem. He has created a brand in himself. Even when he was asking people in the line that he won’t be able to serve them as the food would be over by the time their turn will come, nobody was willing to leave the queue. And he was sensible enough to request other customers for ordering less so that he can feed everyone still standing for their turn. The cost of the dosas are minimal and the taste was homely. “I stopped by Prawnaholic Collections for lunch and tried the shrimp green curry. Overall, the food was very good and tasted like proper Thai food, not a watered-down Midtown version.

The curry had great flavor and a nice balance of richness, aromatics, and spice. I was warned that it was going to be hot, but by actual Thai standards I’d put it around a 1.5–1.75 out of 5. Definitely some heat, but nowhere near seriously spicy.

My biggest issue was the portion of prawns. For a place called Prawnaholic, I expected a lot more shrimp. The curry itself was excellent, but the protein-to-sauce ratio was disappointing and hurt the overall value. The price was okay, but given the amount of prawns, I wouldn’t call it a particularly good deal.

That said, the staff were genuinely lovely. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, helpful, and welcoming, which absolutely added to the experience.

I’d come back because the cooking is clearly very good, but next time I’d either ask for extra prawns or try something where the portion feels a little more substantial.“

I tried the combo with roasted chicken and steamed chicken, and my wife ordered the steamed chicken rice. Both were moist, tender, and full of flavor — exactly what you want from authentic Hainanese chicken rice. The portion size was perfect for one person, and the meal came with a warm cup of chicken soup and steamed vegetables, which made it even better. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying. We really enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back!“

“I don’t buy Mobile Cart food much , but this one was good . I just had a 5 min break and didn’t have time to go to a restaurant to order food . Rafiqis had no customers and quickly went and ordered. The price on Tyne right side of the truck isn’t the right amount . They increased the price and had a different rate on the front of the cart ..

Got felafel over rice .. felafel was fresh ….i actually liked their saffron rice . It was fresh and tasted good . They gave it with salad and some sauce on the top. Costed about 11$ , which isn’t bad . Quantity of rice was small but it was good enough ! My friends had lamb over rice and they liked it . Good experience overall …“

“Wafels & Dinges was such a great find! It’s in a super convenient location close to the American Museum of Natural History, Central Park, and the subway, making it an easy stop while exploring this part of NYC.

They have a really cute setup with both indoor and outdoor seating, and the menu has so many options. There’s a great mix of both sweet and savory waffles, so everyone can find something they’ll like. Our group tried a variety of both, and everything was so good! The waffles were also surprisingly filling, and our food came out quickly.

Everyone working there was incredibly friendly too. Great food, quick service, cute atmosphere, and an awesome location. Definitely recommend stopping by!“

We were met at the door, by a woman who was possibly a manager or owner, with a warm greeting and seated immediately. The service and food were both very good.
