“My visit to ToastieLand at Smorgasburg was a delightful culinary journey. The Mac and Cheese Toastie stood out with its creamy, savory flavors, perfectly complemented by the garlic, buttery bread. “This place holds a special place in my heart. Best tortas in the US. Hands down. I grew up down the block on their tortas since I was 11. I’m 33 now and let me tell you to this day I could not find a better torta. I don’t even live IN NYC now. I live in Miami’s and I am a hardcore foodie so I have tried them in over seven states. Guaranteed still the best flavor and a MUST stop for whenever in town! Los mejores!“

“This spot consistently serves up bomb chicken, lamb, combo over rice. The bbq sauce is so good! The rice is well cooked, the meat seasoned, and the portions is just rice. Sometimes even for 1.5 meals. The car has been here for sometime and I hope it stays!“

“Lamb dumplings are very tasty and juicy but kind of lightly stuffed. Spicy oil wontons are great, very thin skin, not too oily, and a nice pickled vegetable ontop to balance the fattiness.

Also has pork and dill bun (very good, tons of dill) and for $1 a large Dixie cup of garlic eggplant (VERY worth it.)

The dumpling sauce here isn’t too oily at all and has a nice vinegary ness to it.

A stand out for the area, nice light dumplings that don’t feel too oily. Very well balanced!“

“The Peking Duck here is tasty with rich flavor and crispy skin, but the meat itself was a bit too tough and chewy, making it hard to bite through cleanly. While the seasoning and presentation were enjoyable, the texture of the duck could definitely be improved for a better dining experience.“

Wait Time can be longer because they do make them fresh when orders are received. It’s a very crispy snack to eat, and many flavors. Good to try them out, and not many places actually sells these.“

“Came with my boyfriend whos been here multiple times and said it was delicious, and he wasn’t wrong. We got chicken, squid, chinese sausage, ricecake, shrimp, and beef skewers that were ALL amazing. HIGHLY recommend the spicy powder on any skewer you order. I have low tolerance for spice, but it was just a small kick for a couple seconds. I will be coming here way more often, I found my favorite food spot for late night snacks.“

“I have never had an authentic jian Bing from Beijing or Tianjing but I have seen YouTube videos which made them look amazing. I've tried a number of jian Bing from other cities in China as well as the US and they always fell short, even in China. The crepe was sometimes too thick, the crispy filling was not crispy enough, the packing was too loose with the ingredients falling out, etc.

Watching the lady make the jian Bing here really reminded me of those YouTube videos I had seen from the places in Tianjing. Both the taste and texture were wonderful and blew away all the other jian Bing I've had.“

“A true 6 dollar meal it comes with rice, protein of choice, salad and fries. I usually get chicken over rice with extra pita bread. Comes out to 7 dollars, best food I can get. The drink comes included. However they did charge me for a drink once a few days ago. I’m not sure why I should have asked but I just assumed it was a change but the next day they didn’t charge me it? So I think I just lost a dollar at that point. 😔 but it doesn’t really ruin my experience of this place because other food area near by will charge me 3 dollars for an empanada or 10 dollars for fries. This place I can count on being fast and affordable and always good“

“Hands down, these were the best rice noodles I’ve ever had! They had that perfect texture—incredibly soft yet delightfully chewy. We ordered the beef rice noodles, and they were fantastic.

We also tried the preserved egg with salted pork congee, though that one could have used a bit more flavor.

A few things to note:
Space: It’s a very small, takeout-only spot (no dine-in).
Wait Time: We waited about 15 minutes for our food, likely due to a high volume of online orders coming in.

“The guy was really nice and friendly. He even asked and took photos for us.
The food was good. I mean chicken over rice is more or less the same, but the meat was really nice. Especially the lamb, it tasted better to me than the other places I tried. The quantity was more than enough for one person as you can see in the picture. Recommended.“

“I went to Tacos El Idolo at about 2:30 am last night while waiting for my friend to get off of work. The truck was unassuming and simple, which was a good sign. I ordered a chicken tostada, a taco arabe, and a carne asada taco. I asked for extra green salsa and the staff happily gave it to me. I ate everything two blocks away outside of Wonderville on top of a city trash can. It was pretty good!

I was surprised as a San Diego native, since I’m used to pretty exceptional Mexican food in Tijuana and the border area. My favorite items were the chicken tostada and carne asada taco. If you’re in the area, they serve until 5 am!“

“Delicious, generous plate of food prepared fast. We had the falafel and rice plate and the chicken and lamb rice plate. Both were excellent excellent. The meat had nice flavor. It was juicy. There was a good amount of meat and generous portion of tasty rice. He has several sauces to choose from. They’re also very good. And we ate on the benches right near the stand, which was very comfortable.. I don’t know a better way to get a tasty plate of food that fill up any hungry man for 10 bucks. Highly recommend.“

“I visited the Potala Fresh Food truck. These are my favorite momo in the city! The momo are so fresh and juicy you have to lean over the container or plate when you eat them, it’s that juicy! I typically get the beef but they have chicken and other varieties as well. I love that you can also order them frozen if you need a large amount for a home event.“

“I still think about this guys gyro. My wife and I stopped at the pizza place across the street and I wanted to try this guys food. My wife and I shared gyro and fries. The hot sauce, the meat, the tzatziki, the lettuce, the tomatoes, everything so fresh, and the taste. Who would think 5 years later this is still the best we have ever had. “The food is the best chicken & lamb over rice I have ever tasted. The greens are fresh. Everything is so good. I never get red sauce, but their red sauce has like this fresh homemade taste. It’s just so good just spicy enough. I get their red sauce and that says a lot.“

Although it's a cart, it feels like a neighborhood restaurant where you walk by and say hi and are greeted by smiles. This Is thr best chicken over rice and gyros in the area. “Hands down our favorite BBQ skewer street vendor in Flushing. Their flavors are consistently better than other stalls we’ve tried. Service is excellent too, everyone is friendly and happy to help set up tables or rearrange chairs for families when needed. Casual outdoor seating gives the place a fun street food vibe. While it’s a bit farther from the Main St, Roosevelt Ave and Prince St area, we always make the walk because their food is worth it. One small downside is that sidewalks can get overcrowded during busy times and traffic can be noisy, but it’s all part of the lively atmosphere so we’ll definitely be back!“
