West Bistro NJ is a beautiful restaurant with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The best Cuban food has been served here, exceeding high expectations. The appetizer sampler is top tier and very filling, with the monfoguitos and Ropa vieja Empanada being great choices. The chicken churrasco and steak churrasco med-rare are tender, and the vaca frita is perfectly cooked. The Cuban fried rice is outstanding, and the Black beans are the best part of the meal. The food is plated beautifully and bursting with flavor. It is BYOB with a variety of mixers and nice mocktails, like the mango mule and Cuban coconut. The service is great, with attentive staff. The only reason for not giving five stars would be a desire for a fuller selection of jazz or r&b classics. Highly recommended for date nights, family dinners, or a solo treat.
