“Didn't eat. Killed two hours here rather easily. Immediately had two open spots at the bar but we were lucky in our timing, this place can get full fast. Never had to wait for a new drink, bartenders were on top of everything. It's a local stop in Jersey City, though, so be prepared for the accent and the attitude. If you're not from Hudson County, it might seem a little rough, but this is a great spot. Lean into it.Parking: If you don't parallel park then go to a mall, you don't belong here.“
“Never been a fan of this chain but decided to stop by at this one today and I’m so glad I did! The staff was phenomenal and so helpful with me coming with a special needs kid in a stroller and the food was off the charts good! I’ll definitely be back at this location again ?“
“Pretty good merge between old school JC neighborhood bar and the gentrified implant hipster JC crowd of late. Fun place. Good food, but sometimes inconsistent when the bar/kitchen closes. Great service. Awesome bartenders like Amber, Rinny, Nolan Francis and a few more I am forgetting to list right now.“
“Very good! Stopped by as it's a quick walk from Hoboken. Service was so nice and food was good! We shared chicken sandwich and pulled pork nachos. They also have a few cocktail options that were very good. Portions were great to share and we would love to come back to try other things. Would recommend, thanks for a great brunch!“
“Amazing bar! I went here for the first time after moving to Jersey city last week. The bartender was so nice and was fun to talk with at 1am in the morning (mind you). The place was lively and everyone here seems to be regulars which is so cool. Anyways, I just wanted to spread the positivity.“
“What a fun bar! We came on a Tuesday around 9:45 just before they stopped serving food. We played darts, doted on a pup, and browsed the jukebox while waiting for our food. The Nintendo was occupied this time, but the folks playing it seemed like they were having fun. Our impossible burger was impressive--cooked perfectly and served with ultra fresh veggies. I mean that onion was CRISP. And the sauce on the honey butter Brussels could be eaten by itself with a spoon.“
“A 2-minute walk from my previous home, this was a go-to place for lavish weekend brunches. They have an extensive menu with absolutely beautiful food and interior. My picks were their salads, fries, pancakes, desserts, soups, avocado toast, fish and so much more!! Couldn’t stop eating here ever! Have been to White Horse so many times and still look forward to returning! Totally recommend!“
“Today was my very first time coming here but not my last! Busy place but seated very quickly, our server Marina was very pleasant & attentive. I ordered the steak & eggs which came with rye bread and french fries but I opted for the homemade onion rings.. YUMMY!!? The music was good as well as the drinks. The only thing I didn't like was that the tables were super close together (you can hear the next person's conversation close) but other than that no complaints!! ??“
“Food was good, tasty and good quality. The portions tend to be a bit small. Staff was very friendly, although the service was a little slow. The atmosphere is pleasant, good retro Tex-Mex style decoration. It still tends to be noisy in the sports bar area. So if you want somewhere quieter, unless the patio area is open (which is often not the case in winter), this is not the place. Overall a good place to visit at least once, but nothing extraordinary.“
“Had the pleasure of working with Gabriel and team for a private party at 143 Social, and we couldn’t have picked a better spot. Good communication leading up to the event, great at handling our special requests, SUPER helpful team on site on the night. Multiple guests commented on the quality of the food and drinks and how attentive all the staff were. Big thanks especially to Dan and Juan who consistently went above and beyond to keep everyone happy. This team couldn’t have done more for us“
“Guillo's place in Jersey City Downtown is not a restaurant, but rather a bygone bar serving beers and a few other mixes of drinks. Beers and other drink mixes have the lowest price you can find. Like I told you before. It is not a restaurant but a bar from the bygone era with bags of chips and peanuts. But with an ideal environment that brings people of great quality and spirit. I recommend that you visit Guillo's place.“
“Cute little spot! Smaller, tightly packed seating. We had to wait on a Monday night at 8pm for approx 10-20mins for a seat by the bar.The lamb and pork tacos were good. Their hibiscus margarita was nice and refreshing.Cozy space and fun atmosphere :)“
“I recently dined here and had an exceptional experience. The whole staff was incredibly accommodating and helpful throughout the evening. A special shoutout goes to Freddy for his outstanding service and for crafting the most delicious mocktails I've ever tasted. Highly recommended.“
“Went there with friends for karaoke Thursdays and atmosphere was nice. Wait staff good, and drinks fair priced. Can not rank food, as did not have any this visit. Not sure if these were regulars, but if you ever are there when Maureen is, she's got a killer voice and wonderful vibes.“
“I was pleasantly surprised that the food was actually really good. I expected it to be terrible to be honest, the food will definitely bring me back.I enjoyed the time there, the games of course is what brought me in. I was however very sad to see they didn't have Mortal Kombat II here. I wish there was a request form to start asking for a game to be added because that would definitely bring me back religiously.I asked a member of the staff if they've ever had the game and that was the first time i found out that they have multiple locations, I guess I'll be visiting the one in NYC for my Mortal Kombat II fix but it would be so ideal if it was in my home town.Overall, the place delivered a great first time experience for me.“
“Excellent lunch combo and scenic Hudson River views. Ordered the mixed tempura appetizer and Katsu curry with rice. The curry was savory and peppery, with a slight heat and generous mix of onions, potatoes, and carrots. The pork katsu was golden-brown on the outside and juicy on the inside. The mixed tempura was well-executed. The batter was crispy, the shrimp and vegetables were fresh.Paid $33 after tax and tip and was FULL. If you back out the tempura the meal would be around $20. Overall worth it for the service, quantity, and quality of food.Vegetarian options: Vegetable only tempura, vegetable sushi options.“
“We had our wedding after party here and it was perfect! The space was a great size (we had about 75 people), the food and drink were delicious (and reasonably priced), and everyone had the best time. Their team even took the extra step to put flowers along the bar and tables to make it festive and beautiful, which we really appreciated, and let us bring our own DJ. Highly recommend if you're looking for a chill, semi-private event space in JC.“
“In the middle of winter I was craving for a coastal summer vibe. So, I ordered the shrimp basket from Lobster Garage and a bottle of rose from the nearby liquor store (I'm proudly basic). I ordered to go by the way. The venue is styled as an ocean front pub. Picture Cape Cod or even Isla Morada. It's gotta be great in the summer because they have outdoor seating. The place is very welcoming. Great staff, great location conveniently located few steps from the Path train. The friend shrimps are coated in a thick batter, and they are big pieces. It comes with ketchup, Cole slaw, and tartar sauce. Dipped in tartar sauce, they are divine. They come with a generous side of skinnt fries that are not soggy and seasoned just right. The portion of the basket is good and as corny as it sounds, it accompanied the rosè very well.“
“From the food to the drinks to the live music, this place was awesome. Had the slider trio and loaded tots and they were insanely good. Staff was super friendly and all in all just good vibes all around. Definitely plan on coming back next “
“Our very first time here. A very nice place to hangout and enjoy good food and beer. The food was good and really fast prepared and served. Service, on the other hand was slow. Our server (Mario D) was totally distracted having a long and repetitive conversation with another customer that looks like a regular or at least an acquaintance. We have to ask other servers a few times for the things that we need. Nice sports bar atmosphere, just the music was a little bit too loud for me.It was a good experience overall and I'll definitely give it another try.“
“Good food, very attentive service and great ambiance. We ordered-Wednesday all you can eat mussels- was ok-Pistachio Buratta salad-very tasty-Meatballs- good solid diah-Sourdough bread -loved the bread,it was just the right level of crunch-Paperdelle - very tastyAll dishes were good overall, but nothing over the top. I definitely recommend it for a nice dinner night out :)“
“Keyhole emerged as a delightful surprise for our nightcap, offering not only pocket-friendly drinks but also the warmth and attentiveness of a fantastic bartender. The economical pricing of their drinks was a welcomed discovery, ensuring a delightful evening without straining the wallet. The bartender's charm and attentiveness added a personal flair, turning our visit into a truly hospitable experience.A quick note for future patrons: Keyhole operates on a cash-only basis, so come prepared. Despite this small consideration, the overall positive ambiance, reasonable prices, and exceptional service make Keyhole a spot I'll gladly revisit for future nightcaps“
“Whenever I come home to JC, I'll be at Cherry's ? to satisfy my Fish and Grits fix. Perfectly fried, grits are the right thickness, grabbed an Uptown and now I forsee a nap in my immediate future. Good looks Trav! I travel alot of places, but the best place is always home.“
“Hotel is a great place to stay in Jersey City, clean Spacious rooms, great service, Jessa at front desk was wonderful, 5 min walk to path trains into manhattan in less than 10 min, or you can take the ferry, large mall 2 blocks away and grocery store 5 min walk, lots of dining and shopping nearby, However have stayed here many times and was disappointed by the breakfast offering, it was a not as it was, no music, just a dead zone, no salmon, no cooked to order omelette the staff doesn't seat or greet you just a 34.00 seat yourself and sign when you leave, completely self-serve, way over priced for the offerings provided. Other than that it was a great stay. parking 32.00 a day safe attached garage.“
“This is our go-to spot. Cat is lovely and kind. We like to sit outdoors in the booth, and order margaritas (which sometimes come with small edible flowers) or even simply seltzer, plus the chicken fingers or shrimp tacos. The servings are generous and the prices are reasonable. We appreciate this neighborhood spot!“
“ordered the penne ya way with vodka sauce, the caesar salad and chicken tenders on uber eats at 11:00 pm and everything was so fresh and tasty—something i hardly experience with late-night delivery orders. the tenders were still hot & crispy and the penne was one of the best i’ve ever had. will definitely be ordering from here again!“
“So the first time I ever had razza, we got takeout and the guy on the phone was so nice. I was so blown away by how patient and nice he was. The pizza was also to die for…. Absolutely bewildering how amazing it was. Today I ate inside for the first time with my best friend and…. great googly moogly were we amazed. First of all, thank you so much to Joe and the girls in the front for getting us seated despite our tardiness to our reservation. So grateful for that! I felt like they really wanted us there and were so empathetic. Second of all, THE bartender Kai (spelling) is a legend. That foamy drink and the pretty pink one…. Woah. Outstanding!!! Thirdly, the pizza was obviously off the hook. They told us the clam calzone was taking a bit long because of the dough and how they needed to get it just right, and man you could really taste the technique and effort and attention to detail that was taken with that calzone. Gobsmacked… and the pizzas, dear god. Hazelnut pizza blew us away because it was just such an elite pairing of the nut with the cheese and dough. Lest we forget the special pizza which was spinach and a garlic confit — have you ever seen the movie ratatouille? You know the scene where he tries the ratatouille and has a flashback to his childhood? The whole time, that was me. Literally cannot express what an awesome experience this was from start to finish. Thank you guys all so much“
