“Jane Doe was an amazing date night for my wife and I. The atmosphere was energetic, fun, not rowdy and perfect for lively conversation with friends, loved ones and dates. The drinks were clearly made by a mixologist that knows their craft. Delicious. We ordered a whipped ricotta with meatballs that came with pita, it was our favorite dish of the evening. The KFC sliders were good and the steak on the apps menu were delicious, tender and filling. Would highly recommend to anyone that wants a cozy, romantic yet authentic and energetic vibe. The service was top notch. Our server was friendly, helpful and consistent.“

“The Roxy provided an incredible evening from start to finish. Our waiter, Bruce, was exceptionally welcoming and brought a warm, inviting energy to our table. We started with the ahi tuna tartare, which was simply fantastic; the freshness and richness of the fish were unmatched, and every bite had the perfect firmness. Following Bruce's recommendation, we also tried the charred octopus, which lived up to its wonderful menu description. The overall quality of the products is clear in every dish, and the wine selection is elegant. We enjoyed a premium glass of wine that, while pricier, was absolutely worth it given the high standards and exceptional experience provided.“

“It was a little confusing finding the front door as it's styled like a speakeasy with no name on it.
But we found it and as we got upstairs, the bartender greeted us at the door and was very friendly.
Drinks were great but one margarita was missing it's requested salt.
It was very cozy and dark inside with only a few other guests so it was very easy to talk.“

My wife had foie gra mousse and I had the beet salad both were great, entree black bass and duck breast both cooked to perfection the dessert was wonders. Great attentive service. Had the pleasure of meeting the chef, Sadie and the gen. Manager Melanie, they could not have been more accommodating. I highly recommend, parking might be hard to find. I will return and soon, they are going to offer the foo gra in puff pastry, I go just for that. I found it reasonably priced. My wife enjoyed her 70th birthday meal as much as I did.“

“This place is one of my absolute favorites in downtown Jersey city. The food is unbelievable! I just had a chicken focaccia sandwich that blew my mind. I love the vibe and the staff is so friendly. They also have great outdoor seating in front with outdoor TVs. Inside they have a projector and some well situated TVs, but not too many where it's not over the top. 10 thumbs up.“

“Great Food, Great Service Great Atmosphere. So we were bummed when we saw they closed the original location because how much we loved the place. We were relieved when they announced they were opening up in a much more appropriate and highly upgraded venue. This was perfect timing for us to celebrate our 9 year anniversary here. Upon arriving the inside captures the comfort and style of the Livingston location and then improves upon it with the beautiful outside seating area. Now onto the food which is just as good if not better than the original location im glad to see the quality has remained consistent. My steak was cooked to perfection and my wifes pasta dish was packed with quality flavor. The drink menu was definitely brought to the next level as well everything seemed like it was fine tuned and everything we tried was on point and had its own unique delicious flavor profile. Andy behind the bar was very knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to talk to about the different cocktails. For dessert we shared the tiramisu which was great it wasn't youre traditional kind but we loved the spin they put on it with the cake and ice-cream. Lastly for service Jonathan took amazing care of us and made our special day very memorable along with the rest of the staff. Everyone that came by the table was professional and had a smile on their face. They all seemed happy and took pride in their work which was nice to see. We will definitely be returning in the future. I implore anyone that reads this to visit and support this wonderful place.“

“My hubby and I came for an early anniversary date night. The food was delicious, the staff are so friendly, and the vibes were there! We got there for happy hour, so we definitely tried the frozen margs (whew! You don’t need any more than 2), and the grilled brioche was better than I expected. Wing were spot on and that liquid lemon pepper sauce was amazing!!!!

I grabbed a banana pudding to go that was cinnamon roll flavored and it was from another vendor, she takes Cash App or cash. It was delicious too, I can’t wait for another kid free night to come back!“

“my (now) husband and I had our wedding reception / elopement party here and i cannot emphasize enough how amazing of an experience it was. taylor (the manager) and the staff were attentive, accommodating and welcoming, drinks and food were AMAZING, and our guests couldn’t stop raving about every detail. i couldn’t have dreamt of a better team. if you’re debating having an event here (or coming here in general), just do it. it has always been our favorite bar, and now it holds so many more special memories. thank you!!!!“
