“Wow! Had an outstanding night at the Roxy and I think it’s been my best bite in JC.

Service was incredible, friendly, and attentive. We did go at an off peak time, so we got extra special service. However, I think at any time the service would be top notch.

The cocktails were excellent. Extremely balanced, delicious and amazingly seasonal.

The food was soooo good. I had the short rib special and I highly recommend it while it’s available. Absolutely delicious and the best short rib dish I’ve had.

“I've eaten at the bar before but this time at a table. Our server JD was great and his recommendations were spot on. I got the bread service to start. I had no idea what to expect and it was so good. Pieces of sourdough bread covered in French Onion broth and caramelized onions, it was so good. My husband got the shrimp cocktail. It had 5 or 6 big shrimp! I got the scallops which were great. My husband got the gnocchi. He ate his so quickly I didn't even get to try it. I got the crepes Brule, Such a yummy take on the classic Creme Brule. All the staff were great, the atmosphere was vibrant!“

“The inside was busy but had a really cozy feel - definitely geared toward a more mature crowd compared to downtown Grove Street on a Friday night.

The prices were on the higher side but not over the top. But sitting outside worked perfectly, for a girls night.

The bartender knows what he's doing with the cocktails, the food was amazing, & our waiter was great - honestly, no complaints.

“I celebrated my friend’s birthday at this cute hidden speakeasy bar in Jersey City. This candlelit lounge is dark and moody with art deco vibes.

The food was good, we ordered the Jerk Lamb Dumplings, Wagyu Sliders, Wings and Truffle Fries. We also had a couple of drink’s the Number Forty-one, Number Thirty-Four, and Number Thirty-six were strong, tasty, and had custom ice blocks.

My only reason for giving this bar a 4 star rating is the cocktails are expensive starting at $20.00 per drink?. The fact that Jersey City is charging NYC prices is ridiculous.

Overall, I definitely would recommend this speakeasy for girls night out + date night to grab one cocktail and take cute pictures.“

“Delicious! I ordered the rice bowl with Panko shrimp my partner ordered the Shoyu Ramen bowl. As for sides we ordered Bao pork buns, Crispy miso sake wings, & for the drinks Pineapple ex-press & Blueberry kiss! Everything was fantastic!! “Canopy is fantastic! I was hosting a party for 20 people, and 2 days before the event I found out our venue wasn’t going to work. Martin worked with me to pull together a beautiful party on very short notice, taking a huge stress off my mind. Eddy, KC, and the whole team took great care of our group on the night of the event. Our guest of honor (and everyone else) loved everything- the delicious desserts, the beautiful setting, the drinks. I am so grateful and would absolutely recommend Canopy for events or just a night out.“

Great place for the date night or to impress from out of town friends. Small, intimate, perfectly moody.

Cocktails are to die for and the bartenders are so friendly. For old fashion fans, you MUST try “the smokem’ if you gottem”absolutely delicious.

If you don’t know what to try, dealers choice is always worth the dice roll.

The Junto opens at 6, but I would advise you to arrive 15 minutes early, there is always a line and it is first come first serve….for a good reason.“

“Great Atmosphere and Menu, But Room for Improvement

I recently discovered The Table and was really impressed by the overall experience. The atmosphere is definitely five stars—beautifully designed and very welcoming. The menu is also impeccable, with a great variety of options at reasonable prices.

I tried the salmon eggs Benedict, which was good, but not quite spectacular. On the other hand, the truffle mac & cheese was amazing—definitely the highlight of the meal. My girlfriend had the apple pie French toast, which was a bit on the sweet side for our taste, but still enjoyable. We both agreed that we’ll definitely be coming back to try more dishes from the menu, as there are so many tempting options.

The reason for the four stars instead of five comes down to the service. When we were seated, our server admitted that there were better tables available but didn’t seat us there, even though the booth next to us was empty. Shortly after, two other people came in and were seated at that very booth. It was a bit frustrating, especially after she mentioned we could have had a better seat, but didn’t do anything about it.

That being said, I’ll still be coming back because the atmosphere, menu, and prices are really solid. Plus, the location is super convenient for me, and the outdoor seating is a great option. I haven’t checked out their bar yet, but that’s definitely on my list for next time.

Overall, it’s a great spot with lots of potential, and I’m looking forward to seeing how they continue to improve. I’ll be following up soon!

“The food is nothing short of exceptional at White Star. We do not get down to this part of New Jersey often, but when we do, we always make a point to stop at either of the white star locations.

The El Camino Burger is probably my favorite thing on the menu, and the runner is their street corn.

On the beer side of things, I would like to see stronger local beer offerings. The amount of macro beers on tap make this place feel more like a dive bar instead of the upscale pub that it is.“

“This place actually makes fire wings. I’ve ordered for pickup from here twice now and both times the wings went crazyyyy. The buffalo garlic parmesan sauce on top of a bone in wing is a religious experience. They are open late and it’s my go to after work grub right now.“

“South House is an absolute MUST for locals and out of towners. We love going here and usually use it as our date night spot.

Food is outstanding, the fajitas are solid, but the Wildfire Burger….killer.

Drinks are their specialty and the bartenders are top notch. Would strongly recommend the Lily cocktail (from the movie they shot there) and the purple haze.

The bar is huge with comfy seats and the basement is awesome. A Boujee billiards hall meets house party. Very cool and so much fun. Why it is not 5 stars is beyond me!“
