I had the chicken with spinach and mashed potatoes, so yummy! Definitely going to go again!“

“I had an incredible dining experience at Kimika! The Japanese-Italian fusion dishes were bursting with umami in every bite. We enjoyed the uni toast, Hamachi collar, Uni pasta, scallops, arancini, and the matcha mochi French toast—everything was perfect! The staff were friendly and polite, which made the experience even better. I can’t wait to come back!“

The Rose Tteokbokki was a standout, especially with the gimmari—so good I wish they had it as a separate appetizer!

The Soy Scallop with Gim Rice was light and citrusy, with fresh, sweet scallops. The beef tartare surprised us with its generous portion and rich gochujang flavor; we just wished it came with some carbs like rice or crackers.

The Grilled Tteokgalbi was interesting, resembling a smoky hamburger steak with rice cake chunks—good, but not our top pick.

“Great drink menu with the fun twist of it being organized by strength. We all drove into the abyss for our first round and dialed it back for the second.

Only knock on it might be that since it’s a small room, it was a bit loud, but it’s a fun bar with ample booze in the drinks, can’t complain too much“

Cocktails are amazing, but the food is surprisingly just as good. An excellent date spot to impress or catch dinner with some family/friends.

What really stands out here is the staff. Truly warm, welcoming, and professional through and through. Rob & Ricky at the bar are incredible so if a seats ever open try to snag one. Everyone working was so kind and welcoming, which is something i feel is really lacking with some newer establishments.

The ceviche was a flavor bomb, My cocktail was great, but not over the moon great. My partners was poured, in desultory fashion, from a bottle and was mid at best. Fun place, but not sure why the hype and lists.“

“I volunteered at the animal shelter directly across from South Soho Bar and never realized such a quaint cocktail bar was in my midst. The decor hearkens back to the glory days of 1920s speakeasies but with a more exotic flair, like maybe a speakeasy in Havana. It doesn't feel like they're trying as hard for the vibes as other "speakeasies".

We got bespoke drinks, one with a "tropical and fruity" theme, and one with a "spicy" theme. Both drinks came out delicious and on-point. The Fries and Chicken Nuggets were also crisp and satisfying. All in all, a hidden gem in an otherwise dingy, forgettable part of NYC (except for that animal shelter!).“

“I really love parlour room. The bar is so cool. When you walk in it has a cool vibe like old New York. I like the bottle display and they have a shaker machine that super shakes the cocktails. So fun: the bartender said it’s the only one in nyc. I love the cocktails and i definitely come here when we see a show or after dinner drinks, but the food here is good too! Then we pop over to bo peep the speak easy next door“

“The place was amazing! The inside is so beautiful. I ordered the chicken and it was PHENOMENAL. It was tender and delicious. The dish is half a chicken so it’s kind of big. The workers were very kind and polite. The service was amazing. I would highly recommend!“

“reminds me of grand restaurants in Tokyo! grand but understated in vibe, beautifully furnished with deep wooden paneling and tables throughout. bar seating is a bit tight but the staff is so welcoming and warm. loved the Melonade mocktail made of cantaloupe, shiso tea: not sure why but it tasted like umeboshi (dried plum) to me.

enjoyed some good yakitori - solid chicken meatballs and onigiri (nothing beats Taisho in Midtown- have yet to try the Michelin one though.) karaage (fried chicken) was delicious as was the steamed clams.
