An absolute neighborhood gem! Me and my friends have been big fans for years. Great location, vibes, and ambiance. And food is delicious -- but usually only go for oysters and fries admittedly (but the meat bread is yummy too). Strongly recommend this place and it's nice they have outdoor seating too.
We popped into Wayland for HH at 5:30p. The bar was busy, there were 2 seats available. We ordered a dozen oysters and a Sazerac. The Sazerac was excellent, without too much simple syrup. The small, slightly briny oysters were fresh and delicious.
My sister and I were hitting bars around nyc all night and we thought the wayland had the BEST Gin & Tonics. Josh the bartender
was so genuine and kind to us, we love him. Thank you so much Josh!! 🩷
