Breakfast Waffle Cooked by Chef Kossivi

“Tried to post a review but this place didn't exist on Yelp so decided to add it just to post a review becauseeeeee, I had one of the best airport salads here. We all know airport food isn't great so being that I got a great meal, I had to give them props. I got the brussel sprouts salad and added chicken. The grilled chicken was well seasoned/charred. Salad was low on brussel sprouts but the mixed greens made up for it. Almonds, pomegranate seeds, and craisins were a nice mix. Overall I'm just happy I got a fresh and good tasting salad in good portion size. Still overpriced but what can you do? It's at the airport.“

It was a great place to relax and enjoy a meal.I also want to give a shoutout to our waitress who provided exceptional service throughout our meal. “This is a small, very busy restaurant, right around the corner from the Prudential center. We had a Napoleatano Pizza. It was very good. The bartending service was a little slow, but again it was VERY busy right before a sold out concert at the Prudential Center. The atmosphere was very nice, but very tight and very crowded. I can't fault them for any of this. But I will say that our pizza arrived before our drinks, hence the 3 stars for service.“

“In town on business, my colleague and I found this place on Google. I was so impressed that I went back the following night by myself for dinner! It is an amazing place. Every dish we tried was absolutely fantastic, and the service is top-notch. The bartenders were as friendly and efficient as they came. The owner was present during both visits with a welcoming smile. I like places that have regulars, and many patrons were longtime regulars. If you are in town, this restaurant is a must visit.“

Café Avenida Portuguese • $$
123 Wilson Avenue, Newark

“The term don't judge a book by its cover, perfectly describes Cafe Avenida. Friends had invited me several times and I was very hesitant based on the restaurants exterior. Doesn't help that NJ's best burger (Krug's) is directly across the street.Wow am I glad I finally tried them out, my T-Bone steak was perfectly grilled medium well. My wife had the grilled Picanha with rice and fresh cut fries. The food was rustically served on wood plates which made the whole experience all the better. Service was on point, very friendly, and we never waited more than a minute to get additional drinks. The server even brought me to thru the kitchen to see the brick oven grill behind the building. Very impressive setup.“

“I wanted to try the local bar for a while now. I absolutely loved it there. I went on a Thursday since weekends they get crazy mobbed. My sister and I had 4 drinks in total. 3 cocktails and one draft beer. We split an order of wings and she had the clams in garlic sauce and I opted for a picadinho which is one of the best ones I've had, by far. We paid about $120 with tip and thats the only reason for the 4 star. Its a bit expensive for a local bar. Unless of course their looking to be more than just a local bar.“

“North End Bar has an exceptional atmosphere with very friendly people that once you arrive for the first time, they treat you as if they have known you for centuries. Every other Thursday they have karaoke after 8pm and people come to sing that anyone wonders if they were professional singers in the past. Extraordinarily privileged voices. The owner of the North End Bar and his employees are super nice and friendly. I recommend it if you want to come and have a great time.“

The City Lounge and Restaurant Bar • $
225 Washington St, Newark

“I will start out by saying I love City Lounge and I’ve been coming here for years. I actually have a Great Review for them under my other account, but this time was different. It’s the last Friday of the year and I’m chillin with my home girl, and this Oswald Cobblepot (iykyk ) blond bald head chick with the gap was rude as hell. Yes I took it there cause she was rude twice. She was the hookah girl by the way. Her attitude was trash. Now I understand I’m in Newark, but damn ???? For me to write this review means she ticked me off. Let’s do better City LoungeP.S. Henery the bartender doesn’t know how to make drinks well The sangria was great however his energy was GREAT too. We tipped him well ♥️“
