This place holds a special place in my heart. This was the "go to" lunch spot for me and my late brother on Saturdays. Food is good authentic Portuguese cuisine like mom made. Not the fanciest or cutting edge fusion but delicious nonetheless. You feel like family here. As long as they are in business I will come here.
Great Portuguese bar and restaurant ! I've come here on 2 separate occasions and had the biggest juiciest steak even the top steakhouses can't even muster. A huge surprise because upon my first experience I thought I was just walking into a regular bar based on the sullen outside appearance as I was only going in for a drink, when I was given a menu I thought why the hell not! I recently moved to the Ironbound and needed to find myself a pizza place. Luckily, this place is only a few blocks from my apartment. It's not very big and doesn't seem to be popular for eat-in dining, but it is always busy with people getting take out. The pizza itself has rather thin crust and the sauce is great.
