He held wonderful conversations with us and was able to relate to us in a lot of ways. His engagement made us want to come back! I’ll be here once again if I find myself around town again. We ordered the lamb chops, which were cooked to perfection, and the oyster mushroom pasta, both dishes were outstanding. Finished with tiramisu, which was also very good.
Lastly, the staff was incredibly kind and attentive! Definitely a great spot - will be back!”

“Listen!!!!!!! I’m one of the biggest critics when it comes to food, and I’m usually the first person to jump online and give a bad review when something isn’t right. HOWEVER… D&J Country Cooking is absolutely AMAZING. 💯 I was a little disappointed that they don’t offer dine-in, because I would’ve loved to enjoy my food hot at a table. Instead, I ended up eating it in my car. But let me tell you — it was still worth it. I ordered the fish, yams, and mac & cheese… and it was incredible. Everything was seasoned perfectly and tasted like real home cooking. When I walked in, I was welcomed by a very kind elderly woman who greeted me with eye contact, a warm attitude, and great recommendations. She was sweet, helpful, and really made me feel comfortable about trying the food. It was a true example of Southern hospitality. I’m giving this spot 9 stars. It would’ve been a full 10 if they had dine-in seating, because the food is so good it deserves to be enjoyed fresh at a table. Hopefully they consider adding a sit-down option in the future because it would really take the experience to another level. I’ll definitely be back. I’ve got to try the neckbones on Wednesday or Thursday next time. Great spot!!!!!”
