“Listen!!!!!!! I’m one of the biggest critics when it comes to food, and I’m usually the first person to jump online and give a bad review when something isn’t right. HOWEVER… D&J Country Cooking is absolutely AMAZING. 💯 I was a little disappointed that they don’t offer dine-in, because I would’ve loved to enjoy my food hot at a table. Instead, I ended up eating it in my car. But let me tell you — it was still worth it. I ordered the fish, yams, and mac & cheese… and it was incredible. Everything was seasoned perfectly and tasted like real home cooking. When I walked in, I was welcomed by a very kind elderly woman who greeted me with eye contact, a warm attitude, and great recommendations. She was sweet, helpful, and really made me feel comfortable about trying the food. It was a true example of Southern hospitality. I’m giving this spot 9 stars. It would’ve been a full 10 if they had dine-in seating, because the food is so good it deserves to be enjoyed fresh at a table. Hopefully they consider adding a sit-down option in the future because it would really take the experience to another level. I’ll definitely be back. “Golda was the best part of our day. Our flights were cancelled and we were stuck in New York another day. Our original bartender was not so great and we waited over 30 minutes to get served at the bar. Golda showed up and served us right away. We got a variety of drinks and she did such a good job with every drink.“

“My children and I were on a stop over in New Jersey recently, making our way back from a holiday in South Africa, when we needed breakfast as we tried to adjust to the time change. Central Restaurant was a little bit of a drive from our airport hotel (about 5 miles), but they were open at 6:00 am and the online menu showed promise. The restaurant is a neighborhood greasy spoon, with all the cast of characters you would expect of such a place. The owners are Greek transplants, the clientele is mostly the black neighbors who live nearby, a line up of police officers and construction workers waiting for to-go orders, and travelers like us who may or may not know what they are in for. I saw grits on the menu which told me everything I needed to know about this place. They did not disappoint. First thing - to the restroom. If it’s clean you know the kitchen will be in order also. It was tiny, but clean and smelled good. My son ordered the Denver omelet with grits, I ordered fish and grits, and my daughter ordered the French toast breakfast with a side of grits. The grits were on point - creamy with that pat of butter pooling on the top. The French toast was just the right amount of crunchy (on the edges) and tender with a tiny bit more cinnamon for enhanced flavor. The Denver omelet was well cooked with just a bit of browning on top, but a tender and medium soft interior. The fish was unexpected as it had a coating and it was fried. But, the exterior was crunchy with a flaky tender flesh interior. I can’t speak to the rest of the menu, but our orders were all A-plus calibre for a neighborhood greasy spoon. If you like this kind of atmosphere and breakfast food, don’t miss out if you happen to be in town!“

“First of all don’t be put off by the appearance of the bar, it has a bit of a sports bar vibe but, but it serves some seriously good food.\nThe staff are friendly , helpful and efficient.\nI started off with Fren onion soup, a favourite of mine, and it’s was as good as any I have ever had.\nI followed with the pork chop, which was well worth the 15 minutes wait that the waitress had told me about, and absolutely delicious it was.\nThe bar has an extensive selection of different drinks, I opted for an IPA, which was great.\nAll in all a very good experience, not fine dining by a long shot , but excellent bar food is offered.“

I love the fish wrap, the KDot, the chicken caesar, the Spicy Brown Girl, and the rasta pasta. The fresh smoothies and juices are also so good. I love this place because you feel good eating here. It’s quality food with amazing flavor, fresh ingredients, and a clean, feel-good vibe. The employees are attentive and welcoming, and they make the whole experience great every time. We stopped in before the Earthquake Comedy Show and ended up having one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time.
I ordered the burger and fries along with a Long Island Iced Tea. Everything was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and served exactly the way great food should be. Dorothy had the hummus with fresh vegetables, the pomegranate basil drink, and the Margherita pizza appetizer. Every item was fresh, vibrant, and absolutely delicious.
The drinks deserve their own recognition. The Long Island was spot on, and the pomegranate basil drink was refreshing, unique, and unforgettable.
The service was exceptional from the moment we walked in. Friendly, attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The staff made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table.
The atmosphere was outstanding. Clean, modern, comfortable, and energetic without being overwhelming. Whether you're there for a casual meal, a date night, drinks with friends, or heading to an event at NJPAC, this place delivers.
Now let's talk about something most restaurants overlook: the bathrooms. Spotless. Clean. Well maintained. That level of attention tells you a lot about how a business is run.
The management clearly takes pride in every aspect of the operation. You can feel it in the food, the service, the cleanliness, and the overall experience.
And believe it or not, even the water was phenomenal. That's not something I normally mention in a review, but everything here was just that good.
NICO Kitchen + Bar has set the standard for what a restaurant should be. We left impressed, satisfied, and already planning our next visit.
In fact, I'll be calling because I'd love to learn more about their business...and see if I can be a part of any potential growth.. That's how strongly I feel about what they've built here. When a restaurant gets every detail right, it deserves recognition.

Greeted me full of energy, happy to see me and gave great advice on the menu. “We stopped in on a whim before heading to Prudential Center, had the most beautiful and tasty drinks and delicious dinner, we split Salmon Sliders, Lobster tacos an order of maple buffalo wings, and the best Brussels sprouts I have ever had! The staff and service was amazing, everything had perfect timing and the atmosphere was everything we were looking for! After the show we even went back for dessert! Ordered more drinks along with their cognac bread pudding and sweet potato cheesecake. I have no idea how they make everything so delicious but this will forever be my spot when going to PruCenter from now on! 10/10, 5 stars all around, HIGHLY recommended!!“

“By far the best sporting date I took myself on thus far. A bit tight to eat when someone is next to you but A1 service. Everyone was very professional. The food prime rib was a bit cold but tasty while the mini donuts for dessert were excellent. I do not believe I will ever watch another hockey game from general seats while by myself again. Now I must look into these types of seats for other events. #Spolied

“Last night was the first time I went to the Priory but It will not be my last time. I really enjoyed the band ( Unfinished Bizzness ) and I enjoyed the music that was played when the band took a break. A very nice mature crowd having a good time together.... I can't speak about the food because I had dinner prior to going to the Priory, however the food smelled and looked good.....My first experience was a very pleasant experience.... Can't wait to go again!!!“

“I stopped here after I finished getting my nails done next door. I used their ATM and came back. I grabbed lamb over rice with salad. The lamb was delicious the rice was ok expected more flavor. People weren’t watching their kids and they were eating off other peoples plates. I don’t mind sharing with kids but please don’t allow them to stick their hands in random strangers plates. I would definitely return for take out not to dine in.“
