They quickly welcomed us in with open arms and fresh hot coffee. “The food was good. We did order the very basic things like the burger and steak with fries. We also tried the souffle for dessert. Everything was good, but I'm not sure it was really worth the price. When this was a neighborhood spot and the prices matched (if that was ever the case), I could see it making a lot more sense. But at these prices, I don't think it maths. Nothing wrong with the food, but also not the best of anything I've ever had.“

For starters, I highly recommend the lobster orzo and grilled prawns. As for mains, the burger, hanger steak, and butternut squash risotto were all outstanding. The cocktails were equally delicious.

The ambiance is great, though it does get a bit noisy, and the place was completely full. Service was attentive and seamless throughout. Dare I say I’ve found a new neighborhood favorite? It was that good.“

The way Chef Cupps teases the flavor out of vegetables and meats is just astounding. We are in heaven! We also ordered from 232 Bleecker on Christmas Eve, and the food was once again incredible. We are huge fans of Chef Cupps. She previously cooked at UnTitled at the Whitney which was our favorite restaurant in NYC. We are so glad that she and Nick and the rest of her beautiful staff are doing so well.“

“More hospitable and relaxed than I expected for its reputation. I could tell that whoever is on charge thinks of every detail and truly cares about perfection and balance in every way, and keeps to something personal for us . This trickles down beautifully.“

“I stopped by on a Thursday evening around 6pm and was surprised by how lively it was, clearly a popular spot! The only seat available was near the entrance, so I felt the occasional gust of cold air when the door opened, but that just speaks to how busy they were.
I don’t drink alcohol, so I can’t speak to the drinks, but I ordered the burger and it was excellent. The fries were just as impressive, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Even though I didn’t get to fully take in the ambiance since I was seated by the door, I still had a really positive experience overall.

Jeff recommended some special sauces to us for the wings and it stands out compared to other places. We allowed us to taste test a hot sauce, which wasn’t just hot, but flavorful as well! I did visit during a relatively quiet time, but my food took a long time to arrive. Since I don't drink alcohol, the wait was a little tedious and made me hungry.
