It feels very chaotic at lunch time, but somehow in a good way. The staff were fantastic and thoughtful. If I had to complain… we left the pickle on the plate cause it tasted odd, but there wasn’t a crumb of anything else left.
Good grief! I’ve had this establishment on my list for years and finally visited today. Such a fun, retro, delicious, diner. I have moved it to the top of my list for each NYC trip. I had the tuna melt and split pea soup. The tuna melt exceeded all expectations. The spilt pea soup was great but I will try the matzo ball soup next. My husband had the S&P regular. It was a pastrami sandwich on a hero bun with cherry peppers. He said it was the best sandwich he has had in NYC...read full review
