We have been dining here for over 6 years and when anyone asks name your favorite restaurants in NYC. Without hesitation always we mention Red Hook Tavern. Hands down one of the best restaurants in NYC. Consistently outstanding food, (burger would be the best in NYC and you must try the pasta's and French Onion soup. The service and beverages. A had a very good cheese Burger. Nice char on the outside Med rare on the inside. Very juicy. Cheese was melted perfectly on the burger. My wife had fish and chips. Delicious! Much different than other ones she had. The batter or coating on the fish fried perfectly. Service was

Great vibe and music choice. Located in a very nice street on Red Hook as well. Burger was very juicy and meat to cheese ratio was perfect. Only one minor thing that stops it from being phenomenal: the bun was slightly too oversized for the patty imo.
