You have a 50% chance of your order being correct if you pick up. When it's right, it's pretty good. When it's wrong, it's annoying. I live one block away so I typically order for pick-up. This is a no-frills place with average breakfast.
Breakfast was last minute but this place always delivers. I love their grits and salmon cakes. This place has been a staple in Newark for decades. Used to see politicians and community leaders meet and eat here in the 70's and 80's. Pancakes are light but filling. Short stacks are just that.Dietary restrictions: I don't eat bacon.

Food was very good! Ordered brunch... French toast and a bacon and sausage omelette. My wife ordered fried chicken, but they were out of that, so she got the chicken tenders and fries, which was very good. Also, our meals were done in a very timely manner, and were hot as you would expect.So, Central Restaurant gets 4 thumbs ups from my wife Tina and myself! ????
