“This food truck on University Avenue in Gainesville, Florida was an amazing find. I learned they originally came from Jersey. I ordered the Fat Darrell fries along with mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers, and marinara sauce , and everything was insanely delicious. If you're in the Gainesville downtown area, you definitely need to check them out. Their menu is huge and they even serve breakfast. A full five-star experience.“

“I am gushing over the meal we had here. From amazing craft cocktails to an unforgettable dinner. Raphael, Julia, and Louis spoiled us. The cocktails were in fun glasses and were light and flavorful. The service was impeccable. We let them order for us. Octopus starter, then onto hanger steak, roasted chicken, sea bass, and the pork stew. All incredible with deep rich flavors. We had some great sides, a light salad to finish, and a lovely passion fruit desert. I can't say enough about this place.“

“I grew up in Texas and enjoyed this authentic beef taco bowl for a casual and affordable dinner in Newark. The owner and staff clearly put their hearts into each ingredient in the bowl which comes together as a Tex-Mex festival of flavors.

Our host was Adam and not only was he knowledgeable, he was very friendly, welcomed questions and accommodating to everyone's taste buds. We even purchased two bottles of whiskey. HOWEVER… D&J Country Cooking is absolutely AMAZING. 💯 I was a little disappointed that they don’t offer dine-in, because I would’ve loved to enjoy my food hot at a table. Instead, I ended up eating it in my car. But let me tell you — it was still worth it. I ordered the fish, yams, and mac & cheese… and it was incredible. Everything was seasoned perfectly and tasted like real home cooking. When I walked in, I was welcomed by a very kind elderly woman who greeted me with eye contact, a warm attitude, and great recommendations. She was sweet, helpful, and really made me feel comfortable about trying the food. It was a true example of Southern hospitality. I’m giving this spot 9 stars. It would’ve been a full 10 if they had dine-in seating, because the food is so good it deserves to be enjoyed fresh at a table. Hopefully they consider adding a sit-down option in the future because it would really take the experience to another level. I’ll definitely be back. The baklava wasn’t too sweet but had a faint taste of coconut that im not used to, overall I would recommend this place! Dinner companion Eileen orders the shrimp in green sauce every time and is in heaven. Husband Phil’s vegetarian paella and portobello mushroom appetizer were delicious as were the table’s side dishes of green beans and carrots (perfectly cooked) and potato chips (yum). “Needed to get a custom cake and the woman who helped me was so kind and patient with me. Calandras made this beautiful cake using an inspo photo I sent them. And compared to other custom cake artists, their prices were fair and great!

I paid about $82 for this cake. Real strawberries and cream at the center and buttercream for the frosting. Fed over 20 people.“

We stopped in before the Earthquake Comedy Show and ended up having one of the best dining experiences we've had in a long time.
I ordered the burger and fries along with a Long Island Iced Tea. Everything was cooked perfectly, packed with flavor, and served exactly the way great food should be. Dorothy had the hummus with fresh vegetables, the pomegranate basil drink, and the Margherita pizza appetizer. Every item was fresh, vibrant, and absolutely delicious.
The drinks deserve their own recognition. The Long Island was spot on, and the pomegranate basil drink was refreshing, unique, and unforgettable.
The service was exceptional from the moment we walked in. Friendly, attentive, professional, and genuinely welcoming. The staff made us feel like valued guests rather than just another table.
The atmosphere was outstanding. Clean, modern, comfortable, and energetic without being overwhelming. Whether you're there for a casual meal, a date night, drinks with friends, or heading to an event at NJPAC, this place delivers.
Now let's talk about something most restaurants overlook: the bathrooms. Spotless. Clean. Well maintained. That level of attention tells you a lot about how a business is run.
The management clearly takes pride in every aspect of the operation. You can feel it in the food, the service, the cleanliness, and the overall experience.
And believe it or not, even the water was phenomenal. That's not something I normally mention in a review, but everything here was just that good.
NICO Kitchen + Bar has set the standard for what a restaurant should be. We left impressed, satisfied, and already planning our next visit.
In fact, I'll be calling because I'd love to learn more about their business...and see if I can be a part of any potential growth.. That's how strongly I feel about what they've built here. When a restaurant gets every detail right, it deserves recognition.

“I come here pretty often but cannot claim to have explored the menu thoroughly. I absolutely love their tteokbokki, which is just lovely: great portion size, perfect texture, and the subtle spice and sweet flavor of the sauce. Amazing with the addition of cheese.

I’ve also tried the tofu bowl, which I have not bothered with again, as well as the kimbap on numerous occasions, which is a great option for a snack or light lunch. The fried dumplings are super crispy and delicious.

I also almost always get a side of kimchi, which is a good size for the price and has a nice flavor and kick to it.

100% would recommend; I mostly get takeout, but the dine-in seating area is a nice setup. Sometimes they have a BOGO deal on the tteokbokki and it absolutely makes my day every time.“
