“I walked into IHOP expecting a normal breakfast, but I was NOT prepared for Bernard.

Bernard wasn’t just my server. He was a legend.

I ordered pancakes, and when they arrived, the restaurant fell silent. The pancakes were perfect. But then—DISASTER.

THE SYRUP WAS EMPTY.

I looked at Bernard. Bernard looked at me.

Without saying a word, he marched toward the syrup station like a warrior entering battle. Moments later, he returned with a fresh bottle.

The crisis was over.

As I finished my meal, I realized the truth: Bernard wasn’t an ordinary server.

He was the Guardian of IHOP.

I ordered the Fat Darrell fries along with mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers, and marinara sauce , and everything was insanely delicious. If you're in the Gainesville downtown area, you definitely need to check them out. Their menu is huge and they even serve breakfast. A full five-star experience.“

“If you're looking for authentic Spanish food in Newark, Casa d'Paco is the spot to go. Food is served tapas style. The dishes are super flavorful, ambiance is great, service super welcoming. Prime time could be hard to get a table since seats are limited but totally worth going. Sangria was a little on the sweeter side but still very very good. Will be back.“

“I grew up in Texas and enjoyed this authentic beef taco bowl for a casual and affordable dinner in Newark. The owner and staff clearly put their hearts into each ingredient in the bowl which comes together as a Tex-Mex festival of flavors.

Kid-friendliness: Saw a mother and daughter there. Lots of teenagers were eating there as well.“

“I was happy with the service and the food. However , we were 5 adults and 3 children and the bill was $8oo. We did not consume a lot of liquor. The appetizers and entrees were delicious but the prices were way too high;. For the family to go out to enjoy a good meal is becomes impossible to do with those prices.“

“I am gushing over the meal we had here. From amazing craft cocktails to an unforgettable dinner. Raphael, Julia, and Louis spoiled us. The cocktails were in fun glasses and were light and flavorful. The service was impeccable. We let them order for us. Octopus starter, then onto hanger steak, roasted chicken, sea bass, and the pork stew. All incredible with deep rich flavors. We had some great sides, a light salad to finish, and a lovely passion fruit desert. I can't say enough about this place.“

Our host was Adam and not only was he knowledgeable, he was very friendly, welcomed questions and accommodating to everyone's taste buds. We even purchased two bottles of whiskey. “Kebab House was a great experience overall! The staff was super friendly and welcoming from the moment we came in. My friend and I weren’t completely sure what to order, and they took the time to help us understand the different options and pick something we’d enjoy.

I’m honestly not even sure exactly what dish I ended up getting, but whatever it was, it was delicious! Everything was flavorful, fresh, and satisfying, and I’d definitely be interested in coming back to try more of the menu.

The friendly service really stood out and made the experience even better. It’s always nice going somewhere where the staff is willing to help you out, especially when you’re unfamiliar with some of the dishes.

HOWEVER… D&J Country Cooking is absolutely AMAZING. 💯 I was a little disappointed that they don’t offer dine-in, because I would’ve loved to enjoy my food hot at a table. Instead, I ended up eating it in my car. But let me tell you — it was still worth it. I ordered the fish, yams, and mac & cheese… and it was incredible. Everything was seasoned perfectly and tasted like real home cooking. When I walked in, I was welcomed by a very kind elderly woman who greeted me with eye contact, a warm attitude, and great recommendations. She was sweet, helpful, and really made me feel comfortable about trying the food. It was a true example of Southern hospitality. I’m giving this spot 9 stars. It would’ve been a full 10 if they had dine-in seating, because the food is so good it deserves to be enjoyed fresh at a table. Hopefully they consider adding a sit-down option in the future because it would really take the experience to another level. I’ll definitely be back. “Our table of 4 loved everything from start to finish. My chorizos were the best I’ve ever eaten (including Spain). Dinner companion Eileen orders the shrimp in green sauce every time and is in heaven. Husband Phil’s vegetarian paella and portobello mushroom appetizer were delicious as were the table’s side dishes of green beans and carrots (perfectly cooked) and potato chips (yum). Massive entrees of which we all took portions home to enjoy as leftovers. Expert service by real waiters who knew everything and met our every dining need.“

“Came here with a friend to grab dinner before seeing a show in NJPAC. Service was fantastic - our waitress was a delight, the table was never unnecessarily crowded with plates, and my glass seemed to never run out of water. The atmosphere is pleasant, we opted for couch seating since the tables were all reserved and the positioning of the chairs we sat at was a little awkward with a large potted plant and the table itself, but all in all a lovely place. Lots of neat artwork on the walls and good ambient lighting. The food however had me disappointed... I opted for something easy and reliable, a chicken pot pie. When it came out it looked GREAT, but when I started to dig in I realized the biscuit crust on top was very difficult to break apart, and trying a bite made me realize the biscuit was... Tough? And chewy? Genuinely not sure how that was managed but it was unpleasant. The actual filling was fine enough - the vegetables (carrots and potatoes in particular) could have all been cooked down to be softer but they were perfectly edible. That said, the filling was pretty flavorless. The chicken in the filling? FANTASTIC. But only by itself, everything else drowned out the chicken and the delicious flavor of the chicken unfortunately was not enough to flavor the rest, so it was a bland and tough chewy mess that was difficult to eat. We got dessert after and I opted for a slice of cheesecake - the cheesecake was phenomenal. Incredibly airy, light, creamy, and flavorful. It had a raspberry sauce/compote of some kind that I wasn't fond of but that's a personal preference, objectively it was well made and delicious overall.

All things considered, I'd rate this place 3.5 stars if I could.“

“I come here pretty often but cannot claim to have explored the menu thoroughly. I absolutely love their tteokbokki, which is just lovely: great portion size, perfect texture, and the subtle spice and sweet flavor of the sauce. Amazing with the addition of cheese.

I’ve also tried the tofu bowl, which I have not bothered with again, as well as the kimbap on numerous occasions, which is a great option for a snack or light lunch. The fried dumplings are super crispy and delicious.

I also almost always get a side of kimchi, which is a good size for the price and has a nice flavor and kick to it.

100% would recommend; I mostly get takeout, but the dine-in seating area is a nice setup. Sometimes they have a BOGO deal on the tteokbokki and it absolutely makes my day every time.“
