“This is a cool Georgian restaurant in Newark, NJ. I stopped by randomly after shopping for an event. I tried Adjaruli Khachapuri for the first time in my life. It was pretty interesting in how it was prepared but it was tasty. I also had the creamy garlic chicken and some wine. Great for a solo lunch date or just because.“

“On Saturday May 28th I had a reservation for 15 people because it was my daughter sweet sixteenth birthday dinner. The atmosphere was great, the music was a little too LOUD especially for some young children in my party and we the adults and young people we couldn’t hear each other speaking and my suggestion is to have the music at a moderate tone so we can hear each other at the table and also to make sure the waitress/waiter get the food order correct . The food was a little too salty but everything was ok“

“Been coming here for a while now and the food has been amazing. The fried chicken is one of the best I’ve had in all of the east coast. They also just got BBQ Ribs and Oxtails. And they are heavenly, and full of flavors. Feels like im in a Jamaican/fried chicken cuisine. Best of both worlds.“

“I went to the Jollof & Grill Restaurant on Saturday on August 29th, 2026 to meet my friend there for lunch. The food was good, it was spicy and seasoned well. I had a Jollof Rice combo with Chicken Suya and a snapple and my friend had a Jollof Rice combo with Beef Suya, bottled water, and 1 cream soda. The price of those 2 meals and 3 drinks was $69.30. We had a great time talking and catching up for over 1 hour. The place has a small amount of seating inside and it was quiet so we did not have difficulty hearing each other throughout our time at the restaurant.“

“Dropped by here Tuesday night and Neighborhood Favorites is a great late-night spot, especially if you’re looking for good food without spending a lot. I came in with a certain amount I wanted to spend, and the girl with red hair who took my order was extremely kind and helpful. She took the time to explain the different options on the menu and helped me figure out what I could get within my budget. I think the name on my receipt may have been Randy, but either way, shoutout to her for the great customer service!
I ended up getting the salmon with rice and a drink for only around $14, which I thought was a really good deal for the portion. The salmon was surprisingly juicy and flavorful, and the sauce that came with it was really good too. For the price, I was definitely satisfied with how much food I got.
Overall, I highly recommend Neighborhood Favorites if you’re in the area, especially for a late-night meal. Good food, affordable prices, generous portions, and friendly service. I love seeing affordable local spots like this in my neighborhood and hope they continue doing well. Definitely stop by and support them!“

“I had two celebrations. One in March and the other in April. The service and food was excellent. The atmosphere is Spanish and so is the music for Latin lovers. The owners were very serviceable. Waiters and chef were lovely. Definitely will celebrate here again.“

“Seafood pimps was the best decision I could had made to celebrate my 56th birthday. I decided to purchase the Nexf ix & Chill. First the presentation was SUPERB. The crabs, mussels and shrimp were FRESH and DELECTABLE. The vegetables were seasoned to perfection. least of them all the amount that you receive is enough to feed a full size family, and we only ordered for two. I will definitely be back. I recommend Seafood Pimps to anyone that enjoy fresh mouth watering seafood.“
