“We recently visited Oh Calamares in Kearny, NJ, and the food is still absolutely excellent. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and authentic.

We had the lomo saltado, which was delicious and perfectly cooked, and the shrimp chupe, which was rich, comforting, and full of amazing seafood flavor. Both dishes were outstanding.

That said, we couldn’t help but notice that the restaurant seemed a bit less busy than before. Also, they only had one server working, which could definitely slow down the ordering process and even delay getting the check at the end.

Even with that, the experience was still very positive, and the quality of the food remains top-notch. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and would absolutely recommend it.“

“A wonderful Yemeni restaurant .. great people… great food… and the big circle bread: the rashoosh. They have the fahsa, they have the kibdeh, and of course they have the haneeth but they also have Yemeni favs that are not usually found at other restaurants: shafoot, Sana’a kebab, and roti bread! But my fav.. that rice. Hands down the best rice I’ve had in a long time! A def must try!“

As an investor in restaurants I'm very critical when visiting any restaurant and not often impressed even with well known critically acclaimed restaurants. It's very rare when a place has truly incredible food with every appetizer and entree as well as first class VIP vibes for service. You could literally taste the passion and care put into every plate with beautifully prepared flavorful abundant meals. In fact, it was the first time in almost a decade I brought home leftovers as the meal was delicious and easily sufficient for two people. Our entire table raved about their meals and the attentive but not obtrusive service was always there to refill our wine and assist without any of us having to look up for service. The food alone would have made for a great night but what truly made it memorable besides the great waitstaff was the manager, Eli. When was the last time a manager, GM or owner greated you at your table to share a polite, interesting and passionate conversation about the food and why they love sharing this experience with their valued customers? He made our entire table feel like VIPs and made perfect recommendations for wine and dessert. It felt more like we were in someone's home as we were there for close to 3-1/2 hours talking, eating, drinking and laughing. The ambiance is warm and unpretentious and the memories of a great experience will certainly bring us back again.“

I don’t recall names but I remember experiences and feelings in great detail; our server (tall+slender young man) had mind-reading abilities and impeccable taste combined with the easy speed of an athlete in bringing our orders. It’s about the food though, right? Brussels sprouts at Lundy’s made me a fan of a veggie I’m not always a fan of. Delicious spicy calamari. The menu offers a wonderful, wide variety of fresh and expertly cooked seafood, seafood boils, grilled steaks, salads, soups, OMG lobster mac & cheese, burgers, tacos, and scrumptious desserts! “Seafood pimps was the best decision I could had made to celebrate my 56th birthday. I decided to purchase the Nexf ix & Chill. First the presentation was SUPERB. The crabs, mussels and shrimp were FRESH and DELECTABLE. The vegetables were seasoned to perfection. least of them all the amount that you receive is enough to feed a full size family, and we only ordered for two. I will definitely be back. I recommend Seafood Pimps to anyone that enjoy fresh mouth watering seafood.“

The waiter helps us change plate quite often. They also give free dishes and gift. They have various seafood and all of them are fresh and live. Overall it was a amazing place to enjoy seafood.“

After getting a great window seat, my Sis jokingly said, "How romantic, too bad I'm here with my brother". Our gorgeous server Michelle was spectacular. She made multiple trips to the bar to find 'just the right wine' for my sister's particular taste and made two special requests to the kitchen on our behalf. Michelle's calming presence and 'in the moment' attitude made us feel very special. Being an intellectual herself, Michelle engaged with us most excellently in conversation.
