About Yemenat

Yemenat is a Middle Eastern restaurant that serves traditional Yemeni dishes. The star of the show is the rashoosh, a layered flatbread baked in a clay oven and served with many menu items. Guests use pieces of rashoosh to scoop up their meals, and it's not uncommon for the bread to pile up. The food is outstanding, featuring a variety of dishes, including fahsa, kibdeh, haneeth, and unique offerings like shafoot and Sana’a kebab. The restaurant is known for having the best rice many have tasted. There are many vegetarian options, and the atmosphere is kid-friendly. Yemenat is also wheelchair accessible, with tables that can be easily moved to accommodate wheelchairs. The service aims to be attentive, although it can be a bit confusing at times. Despite some service issues, the owner is dedicated to providing an authentic Yemeni experience, complete with a great choice of Yemeni music and inviting decor. This restaurant is a must-visit for those looking to taste traditional Yemeni flavors in a welcoming setting.

A wonderful Yemeni restaurant .. great people… great food… and the big circle bread: the rashoosh. They have the fahsa, they have the kibdeh, and of course they have the haneeth but they also have Yemeni favs that are not usually found at other restaurants: shafoot, Sana’a kebab, and roti bread! But my fav.. that rice. Hands down the best rice I’ve had in a long time! A def must try!

Amazing experience with the family every food item is unique in its own way.

I had a great experience at Yamanet Restaurant on 5th Ave in Brooklyn. The food was fresh, flavorful, and served with generous portions. Everything tasted authentic and well-prepared, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was comfortable, and it’s a great spot for a satisfying meal with family or friends. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food and good service in Brooklyn.
