Based on the reviews, Roy's Fish Fry Lyons Ave serves very good food, including catfish, oxtail, Mac n cheese, cabbage, rice and peas, and candied yams. The catfish sandwiches are to die for, and the catfish nuggets are even better and always fresh. The other food items are just as delicious, and the potato salad is good. However, the restaurant is overpriced; the fish is very expensive. One order of 4 shrimp, 2 PC catfish, and fries cost $26. The fish was falling apart and not cooked hard enough, and the shrimp was slightly overcooked. The seafood combos are decently priced. The atmosphere is less than desirable, but the food is definitely chefs' kiss. The service is good each time. The young man who cooks the food is mannerable, humbled, and kind. The restaurant is not kid-friendly and not wheelchair accessible.
