The largest slices that are pillow fluffy yet still heavy enough consistency with the best flavor and beautiful topping of berries and cream. “We were looking for popular local food places to try (things we don't usually get back home) and I'm glad we chose Taste Buds! I had BBQ Chicken with candied yams and sautéed spinach. My husband had the BBQ chicken mac and cheese bowl. We also tried a little of the BBQ pulled pork fries. IT WAS ALL DELICIOUS! Best soul food we have EVER had. “Very atmospheric and friendly cafe!

This place seems super new, and I've started stopping by after my classes at NJIT since it's nearby and opens early enough. The baristas/workers have great customer service and are very kind and welcoming! The space is quite small as there's only 4-5 tables, but considering the location, it's good for grab-n-go customers.
The food I've had so far are the blueberry danish, almond croissants, and the classic sandwich. Everything tastes fresh and it's great that the pastries are toasted/hot when they serve it. The drink selection is amazing, and the drinks I've had so far are the best in the area! The drinks seem pretty consistent-tasting too!

“Order a cheesesteak sub and it was amazing. Real meat, carmalized onions, and just the right amount of cheese on a FRESH hoagie roll. Haven’t had one like it since I moved in this area from South Jersey. They were early in their delivery and they even wrote a cute little personalized “thank you” note on the bag. May seem small, but made me feel like they appreciate their customers. I work in food service and am jealous of their staff to get to work in a place like that.“

“For a few years, this has been my go to spot when I'm in the Ironbound. Cool vibe and ambiance. Hit or miss on portion sizes. A very notable change over the years. The bacon side is way too small (two skinny slices). The avocado toast has significantly decreased in size but at the same price point, and it's often more cream cheese than avocado most times. Yet, and somewhat reminds me of being back in Brooklyn. Good coffee.“

We live down the street and call it our “second kitchen.” Conti, Rios, Pedro and all the people who work there are lovely and great cooks. Great baleadas (big Honduran breakfast taco), meat and fish dishes, soups, breakfasts, etc. They also do awesome catering for cheap. Pernil (slow roasted Spanish pork) is the bomb.“

The staff speak Spanish, but I was able to communicate what I wanted anyways in English. The staff were patient and helpful! They take cash and card there.

Got the Churrasco Mexto and limonada drink. There was a lot in the meal (2 pieces of chicken, 1 piece of steak, rice, salad, and fries) which makes it very good value for the price. My only issue was that I felt the meat was too thinly sliced, therefore overcooked easily and was a bit dry. The char on the meat was good and gave a nice flavour. Otherwise everything else was excellent. The drink was also refreshing with a strong lime taste.“

I usually order for delivery and when I call they never answer even though it says open and I get that sometimes they are busy so I wait another while to see if they are gonna answer and they never do so I just stop trying. But overall this place is good and there acai is the best and has been my go to spot when I'm craving acai. I recommend Dining in but not so much for delivery since it takes a while for them to answer.“

“Great place owner is pretty cool . I had a reuben and a Italian sandwich. The Italian sandwich was my favorite more than the reuben very fresh. Parking is very hard to find I would recommend calling in advance and placing an order. For two Reuben’s and a Italian sandwich came to $39. I would definitely say give it a try!“
