The owner, Jessica Troupe, has poured her heart and soul into this cafe, and it shows. It is one of the best coffee shop in the area.“

Their lattes are incredibly smooth and flavorful — easily one of the best coffee spots around. I also tried the breakfast sandwich and pastries, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick even during busy hours. Definitely a hidden gem with great vibes, amazing coffee, and excellent food. Can’t wait to come back!“

“In the past year I used Custodi to cater two parties, a Hawaiian Luau and Texas BBQ. Both times the food was delicious! Chris is so easy to work with and very accommodating with what your needs are. “Right off the bat cool, clean little place right down the street from Lincoln Park (very nice park btw) and very nice people running it, I also have to say how stylish and well kept their unisex bathroom is. Served me a breakfast sandwich at 2:30 in the afternoon called a BAC (turkey bacon, avocado, cheddar, fried egg and chipotle sauce on a croissant and it was slamming. Great menu with great prices, will definitely return and highly recommend it if you're ever in the area...their pastries looked really tasty as well 😋“

“Today we stopped by GiGi’s Cafe and had the Greek Toast and an Americano, while my wife enjoyed the Classic Toast and an Americano. Everything was absolutely delicious.

The cafe itself is beautifully decorated with flowers, creating such a warm and peaceful atmosphere. We also had the privilege of hearing the owner’s family story. Although it began with sadness, they chose hope, love, and resilience, turning it into something truly beautiful and inspiring.

As their sign says, “You come in as a guest, but you leave as family.” That’s exactly how we felt. We walked in as customers, but we left feeling like family.

We stopped in for a late breakfast/early lunch today, and it reminded us why we keep coming back. The food was wonderful, but what truly stood out was the staff. Every single person was warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly—not just to us, but to everyone who walked through the door. It's rare to see a team that consistently makes every guest feel so appreciated.

We've visited many times for coffee and takeout, but after dining in today, we felt it was important to let the owners know what an exceptional team they have. Great service like this deserves to be recognized.

We will definitely be at a future dinner pop-up!

I don't go anywhere else from the comfortable seating and the nicely cooled lounge and a place outside if you're a smoker. Wide assortment of coffees and teas and adults beverages. Come on down they are open everyday except Tuesday THE FOOD IS SUPERB.....“
