“The food is prepared made to order. Everything prepared here is excellent. They do not serve pork. Very limited seating not really a dine in place. Take-out mainly. You will not be disappointed with portion size, quality or taste.

“Im pretty sure he might remember me as the Amazon guy. But I discovered this place while doing doordash, and decided to come back and try it the following day. The one thing i like the most is this place is open to 12am basically 7 days a week. I got Egusi with pounded yams and assorted meats. Chicken, and fish, and it was perfectly spicy as hell 😮‍💨🤌🏾 I came around 10:30 and it was two men there and he greeted me and made my order. He was very nice and I even told him that my best friend is Yoruba and that he put me on to Egusi and I’ve been addicted since. I told him I wish i they had a bigger sign because my house is right around the corner and I’ve never noticed this place as much as I’ve drove past it. Also thanks for leaving the pomo out because I don’t have an acquired taste for it yet, unless I’m willing to trust someone again who makes it really good. Will definitely be back again to try the jollof and fried rice. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“It's a small location on Oak Street and the food can be smelled from miles away. Once you enter, you'll see why there's a line and once you taste the food, you'll want to go back. The oxtail, the curried goat, the jerk chicken and the fried chicken are simply done right. They're delectable and flavorful. One of the main things I appreciate is, they're warm and inviting. You don't get a bad attitude from them. One last thing, I've never in my life heard of oxtail soup and it was phenomenal 😋”

“Fatu’s kitchen did not disappoint! I had the potato greens with rice and my hubby had Jollof rice with chicken. The food was very tasty and hot. Our server was patient and polite and the restaurant was decent, and a lot bigger than how it looks from the outside.”

“Been here a few times. Maybe the people too lazy to come inside a restaurant to eat need to stop complaining about their orders. If you want something quick go to a fast food. If you want quality then you need to learn some patience. When ordering inside the restaurant Mr. Benson really takes his time. He even had brought our fresh cut watermelon while we waited. His food portions are huge. You get great service when you sit to eat! Food is tasty and cannot complain.

“I love this place. The food is always hot and fresh. Every time I have come to this restaurant I was pleased with the food served. The part that keeps me coming back is not just the food. One morning, I got there at the time of opening. There was a woman praying and she would not open that door til she finished her prayer. Then she proceeded to wipe the place down with Florida. I am not Christian but, I respect that highly. This restaurant is also extremely clean. No matter what time I come into this restaurant, it is always clean. Always. It is best to come when you are not in a rush.”

“1st time to New Jersey. We decided to order from a deli, so we ordered from Poppies, best decision we ever made. We ordered through a delivery service and it was still hot when it arrived. We ordered the hot roast beef sandwich on long roll and a bacon cheese burger on long roll with 2 bags of doretoes. They did not disappoint they were big, hot and very tasty. I will recommend to friends and family if they are coming to New Jersey from Texas anytime in the future.”

“My husband and I have been going to Crispy and Boba almost every week for the past year. Its our treat to ourselves after work. The lady behind the counter is kind. She knows our orders by now (which we really appreciate) and has always answered any questions we've had. Yes, there is a wait for the food. But in my opinion its worth the wait. I recommend: Chicken Katsu Curry, Soy Garlic Wings, Korean Stew, Black Milk Tea (iced with tapioca and sweet foam) and the Blue Lemonade (with strawberry popping). I cant wait to try more!”

“They make real jerk chicken! ON THE GRILL! Tasted it with one meal and I bought more to take home so my family know it’s the real deal… definitely coming back and often 😇 additionally! They have 2 very friendly cashiers/servers which is usually hard to find. “This place is a gem!! a must eat!! We found it through Uber Eats and ordered 1x. It was so good. The portions were amazing. Portions are like something grandma would serve her hungry kids. We visited and now I frequent it almost daily! Homefries platter is not for the faint of heart. You've got to have a hearty appetite or share it out. Grits platter...well...something of a southern treasure! Beef bacon egg and cheese sandwich is always a perfect on the run, goodie! We tried the shrimp over rice and that was nice. Chicken over rice was even better as it had a slight kick to it. And again, no matter what you order, bring a healthy appetite cause you're gonna need it and a long nap, after! These guys are amazing!! Truly! They're sweet! They're efficient! They can throw down on that gril!! Yummmmm Oh...and if you've never had it, their lemon ginger drink is amazeballs!! “This place serves delicious food. My nephew turned us on to it. We ordered 4 different breakfast selections and all of it was so good. I had the fish and grits- DELICIOUS ?. I also have enjoyed their health drinks. Please try the Pineapple Ginger and the Sorrel. If you like ginger you will enjoy how they have incorporated the spice of ginger. So good for your health. I purchased an apple pie confetti and also a strawberry 🍓 gelato as instructed from before, the boss man said I could always call the order in as per his instructions. So I tried it out this day and it worked perfectly I'm happy he vetted his staff to bring customers joy into their life even though everybody doesn't. Have a great day. They can bring a smile to that person's face. When I buy the bread, it's always a bunch because I freeze them. Trust me. If you're crunching for time, make some eggs and put in the bread, you're good to go.
