“Very authentic, homemade style Yemeni dishes with fresh ingredients and a variety of choices. The flavours are very close to the original Yemeni food. “Wonderful dining experience! The space is small and cozy, the cocktails delicious, and we were treated with such warmth, kindness and respect, like we were in someone’s home. This is how dining out should be. The seating can get quite tight later into the dinner hour, so try not to bring big coats or bags! They will check them for you downstairs though, if you’d like.Also get the bread with butter, it’s the most delicious butter I’ve ever tasted. No diet-just do it!“

So many options, it's approaching overwhelming. If you like Neapolitan-style pizza, you'll definitely enjoy La Lanterna's. It was the right chewiness, and the toppings and sauce were tasty. I also had one of the many available adult beverages, opting for a hard coffee. It was excellent. The cheese and pate plate was good -- the bread it came with was well seasoned and had a nice crisp. But the presentation definitely leaves something to be desired, it definitely looked like an elementary school science fair project on the plate. Overall, good food, not too pricey, and a nice patio. We did have to wait a little before getting helped bc each group pretty much gets a little history of where the place started, and there's only one person who speak to the customers. The ice cream seems to be high quality and the cones are made to order! I personally don't prefer the cone texture, even though they're fresh they're still a little dense. But I'd def come back and get a cup with a smaller portion of the cone.“

The banana bread French toast was good but rich- we split meals and shared half and half which ended up being perfect. Service was timely and the place had a cool modern atmosphere. Initially I was told I could only order food to go because someone was having a private party and they were prepping but then the man behind the counter walked me through the menu. He then suggested I have a seat and could eat in if I wanted. I chose to dine in and the food was fabulous. I got the bacon egg and cheese biscuit. They did not have the cheddar jalapeño biscuit I asked for but they added extra cheese to my sandwich to compensate. The biscuit was crunchy in the outside and soft on the inside. I'll definitely be coming back to try the chicken biscuit and all the different compound butters.“

“I came to this restaurant by chance, as I was searching for a kosher restaurant on the Lower East Side. I love lentil soup. As a graduate of the French Culinary Institute, I’ve always thought that my lentil soup was the best. I was wrong. Theirs is better.After the soup, I ordered the ravioli stuffed with artichokes. The artichokes were plentiful, and the ravioli was perfect. My friend ordered the lasagna. She couldn’t believe that it didn’t contain meat. It tasted like a traditional meat lasagna. At the owner’s suggestion, we shared the lemon tiramisu. It contained a lovely citrus flavor and it was light and airy, and we ordered a 2nd one.Randi, the proprietor, owns the historic Blue Moon Hotel, which houses the restaurant. He gave us a tour of the hotel. The room had a terrace with a view of the whole city. There was a lot of memorabilia from the time that these were apartments. Randi is also an artist. His art adorns the walls of the restaurant.If I could, I would give this restaurant 10 stars.“

I’ve been a true fan of this restaurant ever since I’ve moved up to Bloomfield a few years ago and I always bring my friends and family to this restaurant. Whether it’s Brunch or dinner, the food never disappoints! Hence why I thought it was a good idea to ask for them to cater for my bday! Anthony and his team were very accommodating and brought out the rest of trays as the previous ones started emptying out which I greatly appreciated due to the lack of space we were given at the venue. We ordered the chicken empanadas, beef empanadas, broccoli rabe, mixed greens salad, Mac and cheese, chicken parm, eggplant parm, pasta vodka, meatballs and potato croquettes. All dishes were excellent and everyone was excited to pack the leftovers home as well! I also ordered catering from here back in February for my galentines party and the food was also a success during that time. “I have wanted to visit the Sweets & Cafe Bakery for a long time. It is a few blocks away from my dentist, and I finally had the opportunity to visit last Friday, March 8, 2024. The service was excellent, and the two staff people who took and served my order were very professional, friendly and helpful. The cafe con leche was MUY DELICIOSO, and the ocho with guava and cream was also very tasty. The place was so clean, and the bathroom was also very clean and well-stocked, too. I look forward to returning as soon as I can.“

“A gem in the neighbourhood. A friend and I were visiting Jersey City from South Africa and NDP was just down the road from our B&B. We had the most wonderful dinner there, with James, the owner explaining how he and his wife started the little restaurant. The food was exceptional and we were able to order a bottle of wine from a winery close by, which was delivered in minutes. Absolutely worth a visit!“

It’s incredibly hard to find a cafe that offers a good selection of iced teas that aren’t overly sweetened, so when I found Whistle & Fizz a year ago, I was immediately in love. “It's a beautiful day in Brooklyn NY and I have uncovered another amazing cafe in the beautiful diverse neighborhood of Sunset Park. Liebre Cafe sits cozy on an idyllic tree lined corner of the heart of the neighborhood, steps away from the iconic hilltop of sunset park. Edgy spanish music greets you in this warm, naturally bright space with several different types of seating. A small case of baked goods, some specialty menu items and a medium sized beverage menu calls out your name. Im always wary of ordering my go-to matcha latte when it appears on the "other drinks" menu. As an empanada lover the mushroom spinach empanada was calling out to me. Cashier who is also a barista was super nice and attentive. He warmed the empanada for me, and got me my matcha latte quickly. The matcha was a beautiful green color, the milk frothed nicely with just enough ice. I was very impressed by how well this drink was made. The empanada was also very delicious. It was a baked empanada but the shell was thin and not excessively doughy. The thick chimmichurri style dipping sauce on the side was herby and savory and so so delicious; kind of like a cross between pesto and chimmichurri. I highly recommend asking for this if you're eating an empanada here. Overall I found this establishment cozy and inviting and a great place to relax or get some work done. I will definitely be coming by here again!!“

“I ordered 2 sandwiches today in advance over the phone to pick up (one sub and one chicken cutlet) and they were both delicious. I enjoyed how the lettuce, tomato, onions were thinly cut and not big chunks on the sandwich. Great quantity of food for the price - very fresh. The workers were very nice, and it's great that there's a parking lot. I will definitely be coming back and can recommend this place :)“
