“The food was extremely flavorful and delicious. If I am back in NJ I will come back for sure.
As a vegetarian I got served a meal that had meat in it. It was a large order so I don't fully fault them. I'm sure if I had ordered on my own they would have said something.

“We were in NY for a couple of days, because our baby broke down, while they were doing the repairs the mechanics recommended this gem, excellent food, good atmosphere, friendly, helpful and cordial employees, we asked for a typical dish, they promised to make it up to date Next, we returned 2 days later and if they complied, they had the "Locrio de cerdo" dish. What a delight.The coffee has a strange taste, but it's not bad. The breads and croissants are delicious.The bathroom is small, but it allows you to freshen up ?The man in the kitchen is quite nice, and the lady at the front desk speaks very well, the site makes you feel comfortable. They let me stay for a while and it was great, because looking at a broken down truck is no fun.“

“We went to Omar’s this morning for a bite, upon entry we were warmly greeted and customers looked to be regulars. All of this was a good sign. We ordered two Taylor ham, egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches and coffee. This sandwich was no joke it was much larger than expected, the bread was fantastic, eggs cooked just right and the Taylor Ham, well it’s Taylor Ham it’s always perfect. The Cuban coffee was amazing. Highly recommend.“

“Ate here with my family on a Saturday night. We took an uber to this location as we figured trying to find parking would not be good. The service and food was good. I couldn’t rate the food 5 stars as my steak was not the one I ordered and the meat was chewy. I didn’t rate the atmosphere 5 stars either as the place is quite small and not too much space to stand around while waiting for a table. If in the area, I do recommend stopping here for some authentic Cuban food.“

“I've been craving a good Cuban sandwich and finally stopped at Montunos. The Cuban sandwich was fresh and delicious! They add garlic butter to the sandwich, which enhanced the flavor. The pernil is well-seasoned, moist, and tender. I would definitely go back just for this sandwich. My husband had fried chicken from the buffet with yuca con mojo and tostones. My only minor suggestion would be to offer a mojo with the tostones, but aside from that, the food and service were excellent.“

“A big shout out to my best latin place in Hoboken: Chango Kitchen. Traditional yummy latin dishes. Our faves are churrasco con chimichurri (skirt steakgrilled) and ropa vieja (shredded beef). My kids loved "alfajores with dulce de leche", "tres leches" and hot chocolate with when it's cold outside. Service is warm and friendly. “Ok, me and my partner was looking for a café and she googled cafés in the area and this one came up
So we decided to visit this Cafe28 and we loved it right when we walked in
We fell in love with the atmosphere
The food and service we give 💯
The cuban sandwiches and empanada are awesome
The expresso and coffee are amazing
The prices is very good as well
Juan, & his wife are very attentive to the customers needs and very warm hearted
If anyone is like us and love cafés who are in the area we definitely recommend that you stop in and give Cafe 28 a visit.

“Since the most rated diners were like a 30 minute walk from Hoboken’s train station I would definitely recommend this place if you need something quick and nearby. I love Hispanic food, but this food was perfect! I got their breakfast French toast and my sister got their pancakes. I swear these typical sweet/bread type breakfast foods are not my thing yet the way they made them tasted so different and flavorful, for me this was unique. There Cuban empanadas are very savory, especially with the sauces they provide. My only critique is that lemonade, as it’s very bitter bc it had lime and it’s not sweet at all. The lemonade is $7.30 with card, and my meal was $9.99. Our server was very sweet, I would recommend coming here to have sweet/savory options met here. Also to me breakfast here is very affordable because with me and my sisters (3 people) our bill came to $56 with card, so most places in Hoboken are pricey but this place can offer what you need at an affordable price.“

We highly recomend it. They're doing a really good job.“
