“We got an Airbnb arpund the Corner and wanted an authentic breakfast.
The Lady who Served was Kind and explained everything to us and was patient.
Food was good, Portion sizes alot bigger than expected, although the Pancakes could have used some syrup imo.
Still a recommendation, even though it's a busy place, it adds to the Charme for Sure.

“Everything tasted amazing!!!!! the crab rangoons are so delicious and perfectly flavored, it is a treat every time i order them for an amazing price too!!! the sesame chicken had a great flavor and is not too sweet, the general tso chicken is perfectly spicy and tender. there are no little crumbly pieces as i would usually get at most take out!! the coke cans (diet) were nice and cold, and the veggie low mein noodles were perfectly dry and flavorful and HOMEMADE? (although the lettuce is weird sorry). the dumplings in chili oil taste super authentic and have a greattttt flavor. i loved everything here and i would order 10000 percent again. never change !! (besides the lettuce)

Vegetarian options: all the tofu options are sooo delicious!! super crispy and delicate.“

Many people who came in were regulars and the manager knew their names and orders, but she was extra sweet to me, too, a stranger. Real maple syrup. I wish I had this in my neighborhood.“

“Parking lot was what we needed, but the food was excellent. Great service and the breakfast was excellent: French toast, pancakes, sandwich with bacon, Taylor ham, and eggs. Easy access to/from the highway.

“The VIP Diner was a favorite of my Dad's after he relocated from Queens NY to Jersey City in 1999. We would sometimes go to the diner when I visited. He passed away in 2007. I personally am not one who eats out, but when I am at the condo here on business and my Mom and stepdad come out to visit with me from Brooklyn, we have a meal at VIP as we did yesterday. I have always enjoyed whatever I've ordered and have only had positive experiences with the staff. 😊 My short stack pancakes were delicious. My 6 year old great-nephew devoured his eggs and 2 sausages. Mom ate the entire fish sandwich and did not once judge it. Mom is a cooker and will judge other people's cooking. Lol! My Stepdad enjoyed his classic burger and fries. Me and nephew also enjoyed some of those fries. 😋

I will say the prices are higher, but that is everywhere. And because I do not eat out regularly, the price increase probably seems higher to me than it would to someone who has seen prices gradually increase. I am not including crazy post pandemic increases.“

“Mike's Coffee Shop has a quintessential diner feel and you better get there early if you want to snag a booth. They serve up all the classics and none of that $14 pancakes nonsense. I focused in on the Greek Specialties section and ordered a Gyro on Pita for $7.25. It has a good amount of meat, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and tzatziki on soft pita. I could've used a squeeze of lemon on the side, but otherwise a flawless diner experience.“

“I liked the menu options a lot, a good variety of diner food w/ some French inspired dishes. Our waiter was funny and really nice lol. Place is kinda small, but we didn’t have to wait at all even though it’s a no res spot. They gave us a small ice cream and whipped cream dessert for new years 🥹 Overall, I had higher expectations for the food based on the price points so was a little disappointed

- French onion soup ($19): 7/10, I LOVE French onion soup, but the broth wasn’t as flavorful or onion-y as I would’ve liked. Was pretty excited about this but disappointed. It was filled to the brim, which is great in theory, but it was lowkey hard to start eating it without it spilling over
- Patty melt ($21): 8/20, pretty solid, but lowkey reminds me of the melt from Waffle House lol
- Fries: 7/10, standard
- Complimentary ice cream w/ whipped cream: 7/10, standard ice cream, but it was nice that it was free 🥹

“Just to start this review off, a word of advice...do not order pick up via Seamless from this diner. Every time I have done this, without exception, I have had to stand and wait as my order hasn't even been started yet - and I do arrive at designated pick up time. Interestingly if you order delivery it arrives in 15 mins:) That aside, this is hands down the best diner food I have encountered. It never fails to amaze me when I see the lines outside Gramercy Diner where the food is terrible when this place is so much better!! Highly recommended, with the atmosphere and decor of a classic diner should you choose to eat in rather than take away.“

“Lovely typical American diner, very clean with professional staff. The food is exactly what you'd want it to be; we had a breakfast burrito and avocado toast with poached eggs which we perfectly cooked. Free refills on the coffee was brilliant too. We were there about 8:45 and were seated straight away, order was taken promptly and the food arrived without any real wait. Definitely recommend.“

“I didn’t expect a full blown broadway show experience in a restaurant! If you want show tunes and pop music served with a plate of great food then this is the place for you! “Had breakfast there twice. Once solo and the next time with my wife. Consecutive Tuesdays. Just there this morning, after the golf range at Chelsea Piers. It's a combination of Greek and Mexican specialties. I have sampled the eggs overeasy with corned beef and this time had three poached eggs with fresh tomato and feta, home fries and coffee. All wonderful. My wife had fried eggs with ham on top of grilled taco. She loved it. This is a top notch diner with excellent service.“

“Stopped by Tria Bakery Cafe Diner while waiting out a 2-hour wait at Golden Diner. We were starving and didn’t want to stand around in the cold, and this place ended up being the perfect move. It’s only about a 6-minute walk from Golden Diner, and we were able to sit down, stay warm, and enjoy good food and coffee while we waited.
