I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.
I’ve had grilled fish at a lot of Chinese restaurants, but Jiangnan’s version has completely ruined all the others for me. The fish comes out sizzling hot, perfectly charred on the outside while staying incredibly tender and flaky on the inside. The sauce is bold, fragrant, and packed with flavor — every bite hits differently.

Jiangnan has quickly become my go-to Chinese restaurant, and I keep coming back for good reason. The vibe is warm and inviting, and the food is consistently outstanding. The service is excellent!
The Creamy Walnut Shrimp and the Braised Beef Brisket with Potato. The walnut shrimp is dangerously good plump velvety sauce with the perfect crunch from the candied walnuts. The braised brisket is pure comfort food done right.

The Peking duck is often chosen for special occasions, and while it was surprisingly sweeter than expected, it was still good. The passion fruit drink is worth trying, and free desserts are served at the end, which are delicious. The place has a nice ambiance and is within a 10-minute walk from the Exchange Place Path station. Overall, Jiangnan NJC offers a solid dining experience with good service and authentic, delicious food.
