“The chef deserves a medal for grinding and cooking in this heat wave in such small quarters. The heat didn't affect his attitude at all though! He was so pleasant. I ordered the small ox tail plate that came with rice and beans and 2 big pieces of sweet plantain. I requested the Jamaican slaw which was a mixture of macaroni and cabbage and seasoning that I loved. The mac n cheese was exactly what a mac n cheese should be. Dense and delicious! The neighborhood really benefits from people like this sharing their culture and flavor so thank you!“

“Came to Continent Brooklyn for a late dinner and cocktails with some girlfriends and we had such a good time! The atmosphere is definitely one of the highlights — sexy, grown, and sophisticated without feeling stuffy. There were lots of couples enjoying date night along with a few other groups of girlfriends, and the DJ was great and kept the vibes going all night.

The food was absolutely the star. We shared several dishes, including the oxtail lo mein, salmon, mac & cheese and wings, and everything was flavorful and delicious. We finished with dessert, which was just as good. Definitely come hungry!

The cocktails were probably the one area that didn’t quite live up to the rest of the experience. They weren’t bad, but considering how good the food and overall atmosphere were, I expected the drinks to be a little stronger/better.

That said, we had a great night. Between the food, music, beautiful interior and lively atmosphere, Continent is a great choice for a late dinner, date night or girls’ night out. I would absolutely come back“

“I grew up eating Jamaican food and this is hands down the best Jamaican restaurant that I’ve been to in Brooklyn! The food is consistently delicious and made to order — no food sitting out on a heater waiting for someone to order. I’ve had the jerk shrimp, curry shrimp roti, jerk salmon, and other items and the food is always fresh, tasty, and plentiful. They sell juices and cake which are also amazing. I’ve been going here once a week since the pandemic started and I’m always so excited to get my food. The owner is amazing and is dedicated to always providing five star service and food.“

“Today I walked into Lucky’s and ordered the stewed chicken and curry chicken. I have no hesitation when saying this might be the best student curry chicken I’ve ever tasted in my life. And believe me this is not my first curry, chicken or stewed chicken. The flavor on both the chickens were impeccable. The chicken was so tender, and could easily be picked off the bone. And the stew and curry complemented the soft rice beautifully. I will definitely be coming to Luckys again. This is my new favorite Jamaican food spot in New York City.“

“My church just hosted a fish fry. I shopped around everywhere to find a price that was right. All the prices that the big name restaurants gave me were unrealistic. I found this wonderful woman, owner of this beautiful restaurant. She was so polite, so helpful, and motivating when I felt like giving up on the event. I ordered 2 kinds of fish, 50 total, and that was the NICEST fish I’ve ever eaten. I could recommend this establishment to any party, any event, any anything lol. “I’m using a 5 start review so people see this. These staff members are genuinely disgusting. I’m unsure if it’s the owner or if it’s a manager who was speaking to me, but I came in today after seeing a disabled homeless man asking for food outside (he couldn’t come inside because his mobility scooter was too big) and i decided to go in and ask if they had soup. The lady looked outside, saw the man, rolled her eyes and straight up told me no. Regardless if she wasn’t lying or not, don’t give attitude to people who are consumers or potential consumers. You also should know how long your food takes to cook since I know this place has been open for a while. If food takes 3 hours to cook, you start making it before consumers come in. I ended up going somewhere else and buying this man some soup because no one deserves to be hungry and cold. Horrible service and attitude.“

“I was confused how to order but the guy working the till was super nice. You can smell it hella far down the block. Heavenly. Chicken was insane. Really deep smokey char and super juicy and fall off the bone meat. The spicy jerk sauce they put on it was BANGIN. 11/10. For $15 for chicken and rice and peas its a lot of food. “Boston Jerk City is great! I've been to plenty of restaurants (especially carribean) and Boston Jerk City has by far been the best. The food is always consistantly good and the portions are very overwhelming but great if u like to enjoy the next day or later. I feel like the restaurant should have a more welcoming feel, the thick plastic glass between you & the server is sort of strange but I know its for there safety. But overall, I RECOMMEND BOSTON JERK CITY TO ALL.“

“The food here is great. I got the sweet chili, shrimp, mac & cheese, and a beef patty and all of it had a lot of flavor and tasted great. The only complaint I would have is that If you have two workers, they should both be attending to the customers on the line not one doing one thing and the other doing the other it was pretty busy and plus it was a really hot day and I almost passed out in there just waiting everything else is good though, and I would definitely recommend it otherwise“

“Haven't been here in a long time. It was formerly known as silvercrust but still same Ole goodness. I was in the area and missed my oxtail n rice n peas. Glad I stopped in. No problems w mixing both spinach rice and rice n peas. No issues w extra gravy. I had a nice home cooked hefty plate . I did spend about $30 on just 2 orders but man were they worth it. Will stop again when I'm around.“
