“Today 9/9 I went into Juici Pattie on Church Avenue and the cashier Shad is the only one since I have been buying patties asked me for my phone number and I received a discount what a blessing that was make you want to recommend others for the discount. Last week I brought 1 doz to take to my son in Maryland and I did not get any credit and the guy did not take my number. I asked him why he did not take my number he was not a very pleasant guy but today’s service is excellent. Even Kymani was very helpful in helping me bring up the app. I received excellent customer service today. There have been other time that I come and the service was not that good but I like the patties“

“I grew up eating Jamaican food and this is hands down the best Jamaican restaurant that I’ve been to in Brooklyn! The food is consistently delicious and made to order — no food sitting out on a heater waiting for someone to order. I’ve had the jerk shrimp, curry shrimp roti, jerk salmon, and other items and the food is always fresh, tasty, and plentiful. They sell juices and cake which are also amazing. I’ve been going here once a week since the pandemic started and I’m always so excited to get my food. The owner is amazing and is dedicated to always providing five star service and food.“

“The chef deserves a medal for grinding and cooking in this heat wave in such small quarters. The heat didn't affect his attitude at all though! He was so pleasant. I ordered the small ox tail plate that came with rice and beans and 2 big pieces of sweet plantain. I requested the Jamaican slaw which was a mixture of macaroni and cabbage and seasoning that I loved. The mac n cheese was exactly what a mac n cheese should be. Dense and delicious! The neighborhood really benefits from people like this sharing their culture and flavor so thank you!“

“Ordered the Shrimp Mandu and Spiced Lamb Chops to start, then split the Oxtail Lo Mein with my girlfriend. Every dish brought something different to the table. The lamb chops were perfectly crisp and juicy, the mandu was a clever marriage of Jamaican and Korean flavors, and the lo mein was rich, silky and loaded with tender oxtail.

Cheesecake for dessert was the perfect finish.

Great atmosphere, a nostalgic playlist full of R&B and early 2000s gems, and attentive staff who really know the menu.

“For Thanksgiving dinner we ordered a large pan of j*** salmon and a pan of Rasta pasta. The pasta was amazing and the salmon was even better! They don’t serve you small pieces of salmon... they were meaty! And made for great leftovers. When I visit New York again, Island Choiz will definitely be a go to.“

Even though they pour an incredibly delicious jerk sauce on top of the chicken, the chicken itself is marinated in a rich jerk seasoning that reaches the bones. The chicken is grilled to perfection and cut per order ensuring juicy pieces.

If you order this platter with rice and peas, they also pour a mouth watering oxtail gravy on the rice.

Plus it comes with fried sweet bananas that goes perfectly with the spicy jerk sauce. And a little cabbage salad to balance out your meal.

Be advised, although they have a counter top with a couple of chairs it’s really a takeout restaurant.

They also offer oxtail, jerk fish and other Jamaican dishes & sides that are just as delicious but my favorite is the chicken.“

I’m unsure if it’s the owner or if it’s a manager who was speaking to me, but I came in today after seeing a disabled homeless man asking for food outside (he couldn’t come inside because his mobility scooter was too big) and i decided to go in and ask if they had soup. The lady looked outside, saw the man, rolled her eyes and straight up told me no. Regardless if she wasn’t lying or not, don’t give attitude to people who are consumers or potential consumers. You also should know how long your food takes to cook since I know this place has been open for a while. If food takes 3 hours to cook, you start making it before consumers come in. I ended up going somewhere else and buying this man some soup because no one deserves to be hungry and cold. Horrible service and attitude.“

“This was my first time here. I saw many locations before this, but TEE the employee was so welcoming and told me about the special sale that they were having August 31st - September 30 2026. Buy 6 patties and get 2 free. I order one mild beef patty and tractor juice mixed, which TEE recommended. Overall everything was fresh and delicious. “If you like great tasting and spicy jerk chicken this is a great spot to get it. This my go too spot for good jamaican food for a good price!
I'm feeling like pulling a point or 2. 6 years later and I'm having an issue. Some staff is making it their business to mettle with my orders all because I needed to correct them one time. I still order 4 dishes 2-4 times a week. If substitutions aren't allowed anymore I wish they would tell me. Im not unreasonable. Loyal, regular customer for 7+years.“

I found this wonderful woman, owner of this beautiful restaurant. She was so polite, so helpful, and motivating when I felt like giving up on the event. The food is always consistantly good and the portions are very overwhelming but great if u like to enjoy the next day or later. I feel like the restaurant should have a more welcoming feel, the thick plastic glass between you & the server is sort of strange but I know its for there safety.
