“Kept seeing the ads all over social media, so I finally ordered for the 1st time....Wow is the only way to describe it. They were piping hot when delivered and packaged well.
The patties are a good size and are absolutely delicious. Flaky crusts and the coco bread is as soft as a billowy cloud. Best beef patties. 😋
My favorite is the curry patty but I will definitely purchase again.“

“The chef deserves a medal for grinding and cooking in this heat wave in such small quarters. The heat didn't affect his attitude at all though! He was so pleasant. I ordered the small ox tail plate that came with rice and beans and 2 big pieces of sweet plantain. I requested the Jamaican slaw which was a mixture of macaroni and cabbage and seasoning that I loved. The mac n cheese was exactly what a mac n cheese should be. Dense and delicious! The neighborhood really benefits from people like this sharing their culture and flavor so thank you!“

“Made reservations for my girls and I to check off another place on our Foodie list and this place was great! Good service and food was delish! Nothing cheap so you will be spending some dollars 😜
I didn't get our server name but she was amazing! She recommended some choices from drinks to food and it was perfect!
We left out for the bit and when we came back, the DJ was rocking out some good chunes as well lol. Ended our night just right. Definitely recommend this place and will check them out again“

“I grew up eating Jamaican food and this is hands down the best Jamaican restaurant that I’ve been to in Brooklyn! The food is consistently delicious and made to order — no food sitting out on a heater waiting for someone to order. I’ve had the jerk shrimp, curry shrimp roti, jerk salmon, and other items and the food is always fresh, tasty, and plentiful. They sell juices and cake which are also amazing. I’ve been going here once a week since the pandemic started and I’m always so excited to get my food. The owner is amazing and is dedicated to always providing five star service and food.“

“Today I walked into Lucky’s and ordered the stewed chicken and curry chicken. I have no hesitation when saying this might be the best student curry chicken I’ve ever tasted in my life. And believe me this is not my first curry, chicken or stewed chicken. The flavor on both the chickens were impeccable. The chicken was so tender, and could easily be picked off the bone. And the stew and curry complemented the soft rice beautifully. I will definitely be coming to Luckys again. This is my new favorite Jamaican food spot in New York City.“

“It was a good experience, I went there initially to find out how much it would be for a small pan of BBQ chicken and it was way too much so I didn't order it but I did get half chowmein and half fried rice with BBQ chicken and it was really good. “I’m using a 5 start review so people see this. These staff members are genuinely disgusting. I’m unsure if it’s the owner or if it’s a manager who was speaking to me, but I came in today after seeing a disabled homeless man asking for food outside (he couldn’t come inside because his mobility scooter was too big) and i decided to go in and ask if they had soup. The lady looked outside, saw the man, rolled her eyes and straight up told me no. Regardless if she wasn’t lying or not, don’t give attitude to people who are consumers or potential consumers. You also should know how long your food takes to cook since I know this place has been open for a while. If food takes 3 hours to cook, you start making it before consumers come in. I ended up going somewhere else and buying this man some soup because no one deserves to be hungry and cold. Horrible service and attitude.“

They smoke it right on the street in barrels so its cooked the right way & typically served with a slice of hard dough bread, so things are done in a correct way. I just can't come to terms with the price. If it was only a few dollars less.“

I'm feeling like pulling a point or 2. 6 years later and I'm having an issue. Some staff is making it their business to mettle with my orders all because I needed to correct them one time. I still order 4 dishes 2-4 times a week. If substitutions aren't allowed anymore I wish they would tell me. Im not unreasonable. Loyal, regular customer for 7+years.“

“For Thanksgiving dinner we ordered a large pan of j*** salmon and a pan of Rasta pasta. The pasta was amazing and the salmon was even better! “Great regular corn soup 10/10 is served on sundays and Mondays … i come from out of state just to get a serving . They staff are super gracious and allowed me to try different things when i was unsure of what to order. They help when trying new things and Navigate you well around your options .“

“Boston Jerk City is great! I've been to plenty of restaurants (especially carribean) and Boston Jerk City has by far been the best. The food is always consistantly good and the portions are very overwhelming but great if u like to enjoy the next day or later. I feel like the restaurant should have a more welcoming feel, the thick plastic glass between you & the server is sort of strange but I know its for there safety. But overall, I RECOMMEND BOSTON JERK CITY TO ALL.“

“I stop by here from time to time because my mom loves the soups and stews from here. The customer service could be better though, sometimes they're nice, other times you get attitude like they couldn't be bothered to serve you. Very hit or miss with the service but the food has always been good according to my mom and they have good pricing for there stuff. Overall I saw this place from a chime time review I got the Rasta Pasta which is different then regular more on the sweet side than salty or spicy. Was not bad I actually liked it! Chicken was fall off the bone and smoked very well.

Cons
However my ribs I was for sure disappointed although it was smoked well. I never in my life had my ribs but in squares. There should be an option on if you want them cut never thought I would have to give directions because I never had that happened. When you cut ribs into squares it dries out quicker. That’s why you keep it intact so it stay juicy wrapped around the fat.

Other than that I give it a solid 4 👍🏾

But I will be coming in next time for sure!“
