“They did not have what I order but called and still fulfilled our order. I wish I took a picture of the food! Ordered the boneless jerk chicken, oxtail, rice&peas & Mac and it was delicious. Got sweet sauce and oxtail sauce on the rice. Tropical juices good too. Will order again!“
“I absolutely adore this restaurant and the food is just delicious! The brown stew king fish is my go to. I will say though, I just went there yesterday and everyone I was with asked for extra gravy and were told sure, as usual...there wasn't any extra gravy or almost any gravy when we began to eat our food. Also, for some reason, the cabbage was only sprinkled on top in on area. I haven't seen that before and didn't like that I was only able to enjoy two fork fills of cabbage. May next time be better because I will be back. Still great food, just need to check my food before leaving.“

“I saw the poor reviews about this place but my experience was different. I ordered a full pan of stew oxtail for my Christmas party and I was pleasantly surprised.Oxail was delicious, well-seasoned and moist. My guests went crazy over it. Service was amazing as well. I appreciated that I was able to pick up my order (same day) on such short notice. A+ customer service. The chef brought the pan directly to my car for me.“
“Im not from the area and was looking for a quick bite to eat. The sign said express so thought i’d stop by and grab some good food quickly. I was not disappointed. I got the small jerk chicken with some jerk sauce and oxtail gravy on top. It was about $9 total so i expected the quality to be low, but damn i was wrong, chicken was cooked to perfection, the skin was delicious too. And i got a great pineapple ginger drink I enjoyed every drop of it. This is more of a place to grab food on the go, not really a sitdown place. They seem to have a juice spot next door. If im ever in the area ill happily stop by again and try their other stuff. Thank you!“

Amoya (hope I spelled it right) is mostly there serving the food whenever I go and she is an absolute pleasure to interact with. I can honestly say they serve their food with LOVE and GRACE. “The place is nice and the food is pretty good. The issue remains the same, the restaurant space is compact. Perhaps better in the summer time if there is outdoor space to help with seating etc. Overall, I had a great time, the music was lively and the energy of the staff and DJ was refreshing. I didn't like the fact that you don't get an actual receipt while dining at the tables (you do get one at the bar). So it's difficult to analyze what you're being charged. The fact that gratuity was included was not disclosed so you could tip twice if that wasn't your intention.“
“I’m from VA and I was at my brothers home for Thanksgiving in Jamaica Queens. The day of me leaving to go back home I wanted some authentic Jamaican food. Here it was!! The food is amazing, service is great. It’s very clean. I got the Oxtail with rice and all I can say WOW!! While I was there I asked the staff member ackee and of course she had it with fried dumplings. That was amazing ?! This will be ato go place for me every time I visit my brother. “I think Mya's Bar & Kitchen is an underrated spot. The food and service have not disappointed me yet and the space is an overall vibe. I've gone here several times and whether it's the honey shrimp, oxtail tacos, mac and cheese as well as sorrel drinks...Mya's Bar & Kitchen brings me joy. It's a well needed spot to the neighborhood and I hope more people come out to support this place. I don't want to see it go.“
“I called the restaurant today on my daughter’s birthday (2/26/24) to ask for a table for 5 people including two children. I was told there’s not enough seating for everyone but they would gladly accommodate us at the event space next door. I agreed. My family arrived at around 6 and the two ladies took our order and Yvonne took a few minutes to prepare the table for us. When she led us into the room we were so delighted and astounded! The place was so beautifully decorated, and she managed it in a very short time! All the food was delicious! She made my daughter feel so special, she danced with the girls and helped cut the cake! I was very lucky and blessed to have been given this wonderful memory! It was such a pleasure to meet Yvonne, she is so sweet and has such a good heart!
