“I reached out about getting patties from their Sunnyside location and they were very accommodating. Tosh is very responsive and friendly so I was able to get some patties. As a heads up to anyone else looking to get patties, the location is a kitchen that many other companies operate out of; is not a restaurant. That being said, it was totally worth reaching out. The fillings, the crust are all on point. Absolutely delicious. Especially the korean pork patty.“

“I saw that one review from the person saying their oxtail was bad, but saw a plethora of positive reviews standing against it. I decided to give them a go and do NOT regret it! Lovely little spot for a late night meal! The cashier was very pleasant with a great attitude. I came by after finding my Airbnb and ordered 3 empanadas: Jerk Chicken, Salmon, & Oxtail. This is not a standard menu option, but she told me I could mix and match :)

I loved it!!! WONDERFULLY tasty food and a perfect crisp to the empanadas - not too hard and not too soft/mushy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!“

“This place has amazing Jamaican food! We have tried the mild beef patties, oxtail, jerk chicken and chicken curry. The meals come with a cabbage- vegetable blend and fried plantains. The owner gives so much food and is very friendly, but the food is so flavorful, hot and delicious! We come back here a few times a month. I especially recommend the oxtail- it’s like a party in your mouth with all the delicious spices!“

“My opinion is 8.7/10. Is it the best Jamaican beef patty I've ever had? No but overall our place that makes handmade Jamaican beef patties with a good overall flavor I recommend it. “The chef deserves a medal for grinding and cooking in this heat wave in such small quarters. The heat didn't affect his attitude at all though! He was so pleasant. I ordered the small ox tail plate that came with rice and beans and 2 big pieces of sweet plantain. I requested the Jamaican slaw which was a mixture of macaroni and cabbage and seasoning that I loved. The mac n cheese was exactly what a mac n cheese should be. Dense and delicious! The neighborhood really benefits from people like this sharing their culture and flavor so thank you!“

Let me be the first to say Juici Patties has taken things a step further with the variety of Pattties; the flavors are there, and the time and patience that was put into it to ensure freshness as well as quality. “I had a great experience! Anthony, the Front Counter Associate, was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I felt welcomed in this new Bronx establishment. His coworkers each greeted with a warm smile and with equal professionalism and personality. This establishment brings an authentic business culture that welcomes diversity.

I ordered two spinach patties and two mild spicy beef patties. All patties were consistent with flavor. The patty shells were soft, flaky and light. The filling needs to be more generous. I did notice that the filling and the shell were balanced, so that is why I gave it a 5-star rating. I think if there is more additional filling, then the patty shell needs to be thicker.

The coworkers did say that I would be back...and I will LOL

“Today I walked into Lucky’s and ordered the stewed chicken and curry chicken. I have no hesitation when saying this might be the best student curry chicken I’ve ever tasted in my life. And believe me this is not my first curry, chicken or stewed chicken. The flavor on both the chickens were impeccable. The chicken was so tender, and could easily be picked off the bone. And the stew and curry complemented the soft rice beautifully. I will definitely be coming to Luckys again. This is my new favorite Jamaican food spot in New York City.“

I’m unsure if it’s the owner or if it’s a manager who was speaking to me, but I came in today after seeing a disabled homeless man asking for food outside (he couldn’t come inside because his mobility scooter was too big) and i decided to go in and ask if they had soup. The lady looked outside, saw the man, rolled her eyes and straight up told me no. Regardless if she wasn’t lying or not, don’t give attitude to people who are consumers or potential consumers. You also should know how long your food takes to cook since I know this place has been open for a while. If food takes 3 hours to cook, you start making it before consumers come in. I ended up going somewhere else and buying this man some soup because no one deserves to be hungry and cold. Horrible service and attitude.“

“I absolutely love this spot! Any time I am in the Bronx I have to stop in and get my favorite curry chicken with rice(lathered in that curry gravy) and peas and cabbage😋…. My wife’s favorite dish is the oxtail with rice and peas and cabbage of course. Their fried chicken goes well with brown stew chicken gravy. I’ve had their jerk chicken, curry goat, brown stewed chicken, Mac and cheese is also really good. I have been meaning to try the salmon and their shrimp, I think that will be next. I will say aside from that, you can expect friendly service. Atmosphere is calming 🤗 did I say I love this place? 😬“
