“This dim sum restaurant is quite possibly the most traditional Cantonese dim sum spot in New York City. Located in Brooklyn Chinatown, where there is a sizable Cantonese immigrant population, this establishment has a long history and preserves the authentic flavors of dim sum. They serve food through pushcarts, offering a variety of dishes not found in many other places, and their prices are cheaper compared to dim sum in Manhattan and Flushing. Additionally, they have a menu where you can order dim sum or stir-fried dishes not available on the carts.Patrons range from elderly to young, leisurely sipping tea and enjoying dim sum, and sometimes during peak dining hours, sharing tables might be necessary, but this communal atmosphere adds to the charm of the experience.Highly recommended for those who appreciate traditional dim sum.“
“A true gem of Sichuan delights sending tingling sensations straight to your taste buds. A sultry and classy atmosphere perfect for a second date or surprise visit from your step-mom — the vibes here are top notch. Recommendations are the Ma Po Tofu (best in NYC) and Diced Chicken with Chili Pepper, both providing a one-way ticket to tingle town.“
“as you can see — we really dug into the delicious food at nan xiang express. what a great find! after a long night of research and dancing we were grateful for what felt like an oasis in the vast williamsburg desert. the food was great and the atmosphere lent itself to great conversation. five stars — and if i could, six!“
“This place looks like a classic take out Chinese restaurant. The only difference is that this place is all vegan. In addition, the options aren't your classic Chinese food takeout options though they do have some of those too. There is definitely more variety here in terms of offering burgers and various noodle dishes. My biggest gripe with this place is that they serve all food in take out containers which is fine for take out but would like plates for dining in.“
“Google's search engine optimization has failed this place. The food here is delicious, filling, and affordable - especially enjoyed the spicy beef noodle soup and the pan fried pork buns. Service is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Will be coming here again, probably this week.“
“Even if you don't use their app to order ahead - you can order through Yelp's pass through to their website just find - they are a consistent good quality food- the soup dumplings are awesome and I haven't had a bad experience- quick and hot and decent prices too.“
“Liked the food a lot, it was fresh and very tasty! We ordered the sesame cold noodles, garlic Chinese eggplant, salt and pepper tofu and vegan made weeping tiger salad. Honestly each dish was better than the other, right amount of spice and was light. The atmosphere was kind of dive bar-y which was pretty nice. The prices were a bit high in my opinion though. The service wasn’t very good. Our server wasn’t very knowledgeable about the menu as we were asking her questions about it. She brought the check right after we finished our food without asking if we needed anything else which I found it very odd and sloppy! Maybe she was new…“
“I got the pork soup dumplings and the steamed pork buns. Pork buns (3 pieces) are generous portions and super pillowy. Soup dumplings (5 pieces) are really great. Both served piping hot, which I love. Also, they're very, very friendly in there. I'm so happy to know this place is here, but also so mad at myself for not going sooner. My order came to around $20, I think, which I believe is fair. I didn't leave hungry, either. Would recommend, and will definitely go back.“
“Best Chinese food I've had in a long while. Thank you for the amazing service, food, and drinks!! Everything was cooked just right and very delicious. The bar was a great place to be, very friendly and great bartender. The tea was so good too.Parking: It wasn't hard to find parking nearby.“
“Such a cute little spot! I thought they had a really nice variety of dumplings, soups and small plates. I loved everything I ordered. I got the chicken sticky rice, Chinese broccoli and sesame tofu. The music and atmosphere is really lovely. Perfect place for a low key peaceful meal.“
“Everything we ordered was Amazing from the broccoli and bok choy to the pork soup dumplings and all the other dumplings we ordered. the shumai was the best we've ever had!!! we will for sure be coming back to Brooklyn for more soup dumplings!!!“
“everything was excellent! I had a tremendous lunch with my wife for $11.99 per person. When you enter you go to the buffet and take a plastic snack (there you will see them on the buffet), you can take as much as you want until the food is full and "it can close well.", then you pay and that's it! only $11.99 per (person/meal).I HOW did you hear! and I was fine! ??I fully recommend this place! It is fine and economical and you eat very tasty!“
“Their bao buns are superb bro specifically the pork one. The pork is just so tender and the bread so soft. They have a really nicely lit place so there’s a bit of led light vibes going on. Their bathroom is the CUTESTTTT I attached a video. I haven’t been on their patio but that’s probably cool too. I will be going back several times and already have lol.“
“A truly memorable dinner. Dumplings, curried and fried prawns and bok choi, all new to me! I really liked everything. The dumplings have a "soup" inside that you can choose from different types. We accompanied everything with a lychee tea, delicate and well paired! However, the food is not heavy and very easily digestible! The robot cat that brings your order to your table is really cool.????Well done!Vegetarian options: Oh god, the bok choi was good!“
“Tried Golden Sands Cafe for lunch today. I'd say it's a pretty good place for Dim Sum - affordable prices & the food tastes similar to Manhattan's Dim Sum restaurants (although admittedly that's where you'll find the best selection). Three and a half stars, really. One unique feature worth mentioning - the restaurant has a bakery that offers a large selection of items, including freshly baked Chinese buns. I tried one of the bakery items - the Raisin Twist Bun. Big bun but not really to my taste (dry). It was $2.75 plus tax- a pretty good deal for NYC.“
“I love this place. Was sad to see them leave 16th Street, just two blocks from my home. But they have a larger space on 7th Avenue, which is great. I always get the Veggie Noodles because I know if I start eating the dumplings, I'll never stop.“
“Dimsum is pretty good compared to larger Cantonese establishments in Brooklyn. However, it is also 20% more expensive than Brooklyn given location and charges taxes. Its a good spot for dimsum if you have cravings and don't want to drive to queens or Brooklyn.“
“This is a bakery that has pretty much everything for breakfast, brunch, and lunch. There are fresh buns, a good variety of dim sum, yummy stir fried noodles, rice dishes with spare ribs or chicken, and even frozen buns to take home and enjoy whenever. People are friendly and the prices are more budget friendly than other bakeries. Highly recommend whenever you want dim sum or buns to bring home or bring to someone's home to enjoy together. No need to wait in line in a crowded, loud dim sum restaurant. Minus a star because ever since the pandemic, there is not as much a selection of buns and they run out fast and not made again until next day.“
“Noodles were pretty good, wraps are good, and nice to be able to mix and match with some bao or veggies. The interior was fairly nice. I dont remember exactly what happened but i wished i had more water, wasnt sure if they were supposed to refill it.Not the most amazing food ever but its a good stop while shopping or checking out the area. Probably not a regular favorite of the localsVegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options clearly labeled“
“So glad this location is here, now I can get delivery to Carroll Gardens in half the time. The chicken dumplings with the cinnamon red oil are definitely worth a try. Veggie egg rolls are the best I’ve ever had.Vegetarian options: You can request no meat versions of some dishes.“
“Good variety of dim sum you can order take out, there's no dine in option currently. The bakery goods are limited however unless you go early in the morning to early afternoon. The staff are friendly and the place looks clean. Unfortunately the prices have been on the steady rise every couple of months. My go to orders have gone up nearly a dollar since earlier in the year and over a dollar since last year. It is cash only as well.“
“The area around this shop is cute, with many little clothing, book and jewelry stores, lots of food options. The atmosphere here is very mom & pop style, basic seating. I ordered the shrimp har gow ($10) and the double happiness fried rice ($15). The har gow was just ok, not super flavorful, the shell wasn't as fresh and bouncy as I'd hoped. It came with an interesting fried frame. The double happiness fried rice was definitely more worth it for the price and yummy. There were 3 big pieces of tender pork belly, a flavorful green sauce, and a big portion. Glad one of the two items I ordered was worth the visit. Not sure if the other dumplings live up to the hype. Service was helpful, if not particularly friendly. Wouldn't say this is a must try, but good to try if you're nearby and curious!“
“When I entered, the place wasn't busy as many of the items were sold out for the day. I saw that they only have some dim sum items, so I ordered some shumai. The shumai here isn't extravagant, but is very tasty. Would recommended to others.“
“The food is very good here, but when it’s busy your order can get very delayed. My favorite dish was the mayo shrimp and fried tofu. The lobster was very fresh too. The atmosphere is very noisy during holidays, but that’s just music to me. Happy to see big family gathering!“
“I have been coming here for years and it's honestly my go to dinner / dim sum place in Behsonhurst. The staff is extremely welcoming and they constantly are trying out new dishes. The place itself is not HUGE so definitely recommend making a reservation in advance if you plan to come here with a huge group of people. They are super accommodating and the staff is so kind and the service here is A+ especially for dinner. They are constantly checking in on you and making sure that you have everything you need; constantly asking the table if they need new dishes etc. The food is delicious as well and the presentation is lovely as well. I don't think that you can go wrong with anything on the menu but some of my favorite items are the walnut shrimp, the long life noodle (it comes with crab meat and so delicious), any of the seafood dishes are great (Dungeness Crab, Sauteed Flounder Filet - the fish is super tender), Fillet Steak (one of my favorites - the meat is so tender and the sauce is amazing). The dim sum is also delicious as well - you cannot go wrong with the items that you order. Overall - great vibes; highly recommend checking this place out.“
“Very solid little stop to grab some rice rolls, congee, and various appetizers. When I stopped in, the place was empty, but we waited about 15 minutes for our food to be ready. I assume this is because some folks ordered and went to neighboring businesses to do some shopping while they waited. The food here is tasty and fresh. All rice rolls are mafe to order and it is obvious when you take your first bite. This cash only spot also offers a couple of tables in case you wish to eat there as well. I would definitely recommend stopping in and trying a little bit of everything.“
“My family and I are truly in love with this restaurant. We celebrated my son's birthday there last evening. Great meal, the duck, chicken and shrimp were excellent. I am not a dessert person but we had a mango Pudding and it was too die for. The servers there are always professional. Always a positive experience at Park Asia. Thank you Maggie Gu!“
“Antidote Restaurant totally nails the Chinese food scene! The vibes are cool – a mix of old-school and modern. The menu's like a journey through China, and everything tastes spot-on. The staff is friendly and knows their stuff, making the whole experience chill and tasty. Whether you're into casual eats or something fancier, Antidote is your go-to for legit Chinese grub.“
