“I was craving some dumplings and I walked by Chairman Sun and saw their menu had just what I wanted!
The Pork Soup Dumplings were a 5/5. Full of flavor and the perfect texture. The soy sauce and flavor of the pork matched perfectly.
My Scallion Cucumber salad was a perfect flavor profile for me as a I love a garlic moment. The dressing was drinkable…and the cucumber cuts were hardy and a perfect fresh bite.
Lastly, the spring rolls, solid and great flavor.
Kind staff and great ambience.

“I’ve been eating here since it opened and this place literally never fails to deliver on amazing flavor that wakes up the tastebuds. Ingredients are all high quality. 3 pepper chicken packs a good punch, beef with silken tofu is delicious, and their duck fried rice is amazing.“

“The pineapple pork bun at Mei Lai Wah is an absolute masterclass in contrasting textures and unapologetic flavors.
It is a heavy, comforting contradiction a hot, savory meat filling locked inside a sugary, crisp pastry shell. Because both the cookie crust and the barbecue glaze lean heavily into sugar, it is an intense flavor bomb. It can feel incredibly rich or even one-note after a while, but when you catch one fresh and steaming straight out of the oven, it is the ultimate sweet-and-savory comfort food.“

“😍My very first time here. I was served by Jason, food captain. I guess I was spoiled by his hospitality because I tell you, WHEN I return, if I not being served by him, I'm not going. Every now and again you come across a server who truly enjoys making people fell comfortable, that's Jason, in a nutshell. The food was extraordinary, complimented by spectacular recommendations and hospitality!!!!“

“Hands down the best Peking duck in NYC—Eater wasn't kidding! The skin was perfectly crispy and the meat so tender, wrapped in thin pancakes with sweet bean sauce and fresh cucumber. We also loved the spicy diced chicken (so addictive!) and the tableside mapo tofu that arrived bubbling hot. Everything was flavorful, well-portioned, and service was smooth.“

“This place has excellent food, really nice inside and warm service. Some of the best dim sum we have had, ever. Crab xiao long bao were so good, the skin was thin and the filling was tasty. We also really liked the carrot custard cakes, very unique. We’ll come back here for sure.“

“The place takes you back in time. The food is very authentic. I discovered this place years ago by chance. Some Canadians were walking out from it and I asked how was the food. They said best Chinese food. The first place they dine at when visiting New York. My daughter and I tried it and truly enjoyed it. Every time I visited her in NY we made it a point to eat there at least once.“

“We had such a great meal at Pig Heaven! The BBQ spare ribs were so tender, flavorful, and perfectly glazed. We also really enjoyed the soup dumplings, Peking duck, Sesame chicken, noodles, and Mapo tofu. Everything came in generous portions and was great for sharing. The staff was friendly and welcoming too. Definitely a great Chinese spot on the Upper East Side. We’d love to come back!“

“Food was overall good and had some interesting fusion dishes. The highlights were:
- steamed fish
- pork ribs
- fried rice with chasiu
- roast duck
It is pricy for sure but the atmosphere was mostly nice.

“Delicious food, generous portions, reasonable prices, and little to no wait for service. When we got there the restaurant was totally empty, which I found questionable. However, my expectations were surpassed! There were 4 of us dining - we shared 6 pork and scallion potstickers, cold beef and cucumber, 6 pork soup dumplings, grandma braised pork belly, sesame chicken, and dry pot chicken soup. Everything was incredible. Meat was tender, everything was flavorful, came very fast and tasted fresh and hot. Highlights were the soup dumplings, potstickers, and sesame chicken. Give this place a try - amazing value and great experience, especially with the price of the surrounding establishments!“

“Each meal here feels worth the price and the calories. I plan to come back - the ambiance was tranquil and staff were excellent. They're inconsistent with warmth but consistent with service. You get your money's worth with these filling portions. I enjoy every aspect of this restaurant.“

“Waited an eternity to get in - almost 2 hrs. We got our names down for an hour later, came back at that time, and then had to wait down in the lower level all over again before finally getting a table. The food itself was just okay, nothing too bad or too good based on what we ordered (steamed dumplings, spicy noodles, and chicken fried rice). Overall, the wait is definitely not worth the food.“

“I love your general tso's chicken but the previous was much better. After you guys closed and reopened this week, the recipe for your general tso's chicken changed. I order it several times a week and am a bit disappointed. Did the chef change? Is it possible to go back to the old recipe? Old recipe: 9.5/10 New recipe: 7/10 Please go back!“

“Happened upon this corner spot with low expectations when in the area. Very happily surprised! Super chill down to earth. Delicious curry soup and beef bowl. Mostly delivery orders so it was easy to sit for a while. No plugs but easy to work with laptop.“
