“This dim sum restaurant is quite possibly the most traditional Cantonese dim sum spot in New York City. Located in Brooklyn Chinatown, where there is a sizable Cantonese immigrant population, this establishment has a long history and preserves the authentic flavors of dim sum. They serve food through pushcarts, offering a variety of dishes not found in many other places, and their prices are cheaper compared to dim sum in Manhattan and Flushing. Additionally, they have a menu where you can order dim sum or stir-fried dishes not available on the carts.Patrons range from elderly to young, leisurely sipping tea and enjoying dim sum, and sometimes during peak dining hours, sharing tables might be necessary, but this communal atmosphere adds to the charm of the experience.Highly recommended for those who appreciate traditional dim sum.“
“Obsessed with Bonnie’s it had such unique takes on Cantonese classics and each dish was excellent. The atmosphere is modern and fresh - would be cute for a birthday or night out with friends/family. Everyone working there is super nice and personable - great service. Great cocktails too!“
“I rarely eat Chinese food at a restaurant it’s usually takeout. However, on Saturday after shopping and the heavy rain we decided to stop in bay ridge and we decided for a change instead of Italian and I’m glad we did because the food was delicious the manager and all the staff were very friendly and accommodating I will definitely be going back the atmosphere was friendly and very warm I really enjoyed the experienceKid-friendliness: I didn’t have children but there were many families with children fascinated with the large fish tank with big fish“
“It's simply the best soup in the NYC, period. It's comfort food. The soup reached your soul. It's homey, like coming into visit a close relative. With that, you immediately feel love from the chefs who just humbly give you one of the best things you ever tasted. I'll dream about the food.“
“At the BK Seafood Market, I had the most incredible dining experience. Their seafood was unbelievably fresh, and the highlight of the meal was definitely the Toronto Tower with the fried king crab. Each bite was bursting with flavor, making it a truly unforgettable dish. What's more, the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. While the prices may be on the higher side, the quality of the food and the overall experience made it worth every penny. If you're looking for a seafood experience like no other, I highly recommend splurging on a meal at BK Seafood Market.“
“A truly memorable dinner. Dumplings, curried and fried prawns and bok choi, all new to me! I really liked everything. The dumplings have a "soup" inside that you can choose from different types. We accompanied everything with a lychee tea, delicate and well paired! However, the food is not heavy and very easily digestible! The robot cat that brings your order to your table is really cool.????Well done!Vegetarian options: Oh god, the bok choi was good!“
“You wouldn't know it from just walking by but by the time the first pork bun touches your lips you won't forget it. E noodle ! Yum yum yum the pork is done so well and the curry , wow amazing . One of my new favorite local spots . The soup dumplings are awesome , scallion pancakes delicious, can't say enough. With good prices .“
“I love this place. Was sad to see them leave 16th Street, just two blocks from my home. But they have a larger space on 7th Avenue, which is great. I always get the Veggie Noodles because I know if I start eating the dumplings, I'll never stop.“
“We get delivery from here regularly and it never disappoints! The workers on the phone are always very nice and they are thorough with reviewing our order. The delivery is fast and hot. Our order has always been correct. The prices are cheap for the amount of food you get and everything is always so good! It is typical Chinese American food but we like all the dishes from here better than the other restaurants around. We've had their appetizers, soups, vegetable dishes, meat dishes, rices, lo miens -- everything is amazing! We love supporting a local business especially when the food is so good and the people are so nice.“
“Authentic Cantonese/Taishanese food that is very delicious. One of the last restaurants of its kind in the area. Reasonable prices for delicious food and attentive service. Highly recommend. The style of food can range from rice combo dishes to banquet style ones. Before the pandemic, they were packed with a wait required for dinner service on most nights. Now the restaurant is mostly empty but with an active stream of takeout flowing out the door. The food is very good which is what helped them survive and thrive through these hard times.“
“I was here to get roast pork and roast duck. The service was great but the roast pork was very fatty which I did not like but the roast duck was perfect and very fresh. The fatty pork is the only reason why I did not give 5 stars to this place.“
“The oysters didn't feel particularly fresh. The texture of fresh oysters will be a little smoother, but this one will feel a little less watery. The snails are quite delicious, I feel like the flavor could be stronger. There is nothing wrong with other dishes. The fish might be a bit stale, but other dishes are fine. Squab, tea shrimp, and stir-fried chicken are all very good.“
“We had the Master Wonton Noodle Soup and the pork & chive gyoza. The soup wontons & broth were delicious. Noodles were meh. If I get it again, I will ask if I can switch out the noodles. The gyoza were also amazing. Service was great. We thought it was Chinese but kind of an Asian Mexican Fusion. If I'm in the neighborhood ( & I will be cause much less crowded than Manhattan Chinatown) will get some of these their crazy interesting dishes like: Shrimp Using Yaki Noodles, or the definitely a Duck dish cuz Duck Wong you better bring it.“
“We had a fantastic lunch at this Cantonese restaurant! The staff was exceptionally friendly, making us feel welcome right away. The food, especially the roasted duck and honey roasted pork, was a hit with the whole family – flavorful, perfectly cooked, and clearly made with care. Even my kids couldn’t get enough of it! The prices were reasonable, adding to the overall great value. It’s a cozy spot with an inviting atmosphere and a menu that impresses. We'll definitely be back for more of their delicious offerings!“
“Came here for dinner around 6 pm and had a seat pretty quickly, but at 7 pm, there was a line, so it was best to come here early. The food we ordered was tasty, but the fried fish was incredibly salty. The waiters were a bit on the rude side, but it's nothing that I'm not used to in a Chinese restaurant.Overall, it's not bad, and food is good. Great place with family or a big group of people.Parking: Parking is tough here since it's on the main road. You can get lucky or drive into a residential street and find parking there. Better chance.“
“My family and I are truly in love with this restaurant. We celebrated my son's birthday there last evening. Great meal, the duck, chicken and shrimp were excellent. I am not a dessert person but we had a mango Pudding and it was too die for. The servers there are always professional. Always a positive experience at Park Asia. Thank you Maggie Gu!“
“Very solid little stop to grab some rice rolls, congee, and various appetizers. When I stopped in, the place was empty, but we waited about 15 minutes for our food to be ready. I assume this is because some folks ordered and went to neighboring businesses to do some shopping while they waited. The food here is tasty and fresh. All rice rolls are mafe to order and it is obvious when you take your first bite. This cash only spot also offers a couple of tables in case you wish to eat there as well. I would definitely recommend stopping in and trying a little bit of everything.“
“I have been coming here for years and it's honestly my go to dinner / dim sum place in Behsonhurst. The staff is extremely welcoming and they constantly are trying out new dishes. The place itself is not HUGE so definitely recommend making a reservation in advance if you plan to come here with a huge group of people. They are super accommodating and the staff is so kind and the service here is A+ especially for dinner. They are constantly checking in on you and making sure that you have everything you need; constantly asking the table if they need new dishes etc. The food is delicious as well and the presentation is lovely as well. I don't think that you can go wrong with anything on the menu but some of my favorite items are the walnut shrimp, the long life noodle (it comes with crab meat and so delicious), any of the seafood dishes are great (Dungeness Crab, Sauteed Flounder Filet - the fish is super tender), Fillet Steak (one of my favorites - the meat is so tender and the sauce is amazing). The dim sum is also delicious as well - you cannot go wrong with the items that you order. Overall - great vibes; highly recommend checking this place out.“
“Pecking House had some of the best fried chicken I have had in recent times. It was elevated and you could tell there is an extra level of sophistication to their chicken. Different flavors, different techniques and some Asian fusion aspects that pair so perfectly well with the classic American style fried chicken. Cornbread was excellent, dirty fried rice was also superb and the chili chicken sandwich really hit the spot. Can't wait to return to Pecking House in the future! Service was also excellent; super attentive and next level for a more casual place like this one. Don't sleep on the Peanut butter pudding!“
