“What a cutie vibey spot! If you’re looking for super authentic Chinese food, this probably isn’t the move but that doesn’t mean the food isn’t delicious!
We booked for a girls dinner and they knew their audience. Great moody lighting, a destiny’s child playlist, cozy booths, and lots of shareable options.
The staff was incredibly warm and playful too. Nico, the GM, was putting in the work. We saw him visiting every table and charmed the whole dining room. He even sent a complimentary dessert to our table.
Looking forward to going back!“

“I have been dreaming about getting rice rolls from here for years and I was not let down. The fresh shrimp rice roll was fantastic. I didn’t know what the sauces were I just put everything on them and it was amazing especially for just $4 ?!! Remember to bring cash folks! I will definitely be back the next time I’m in Chinatown.“

“We had a very pleasant experience on Sunday Feb 15 , 2 pm at Moon Kee. It was a party of 10 at one of the round tables, for a birthday. Some people were quite hungry, so we started ordering dim sum right away from the trolleys that were making the rounds. All of the dim sum dishes were excellent. The main dishes that came later were also on point: well cooked, tasty and quite large portions. Very few of us were able to finish our meals; many take-away containers were required. The staff kindly helped us serve out a birthday cake that we had brought in. My only small critique, which brought the atmosphere rating down to 4 stars, was that our table, which was the round one closest to the front door, would get blasted by a cold draft whenever the door opened. I recommend that they install some sort of windbreak entrance as you see at many restaurants.
Overall, a delightful experience, large quantities of delicious food at reasonable prices. Will definitely be going back, and will recommend to others.“

“Hey Yuet, don't make it bad
Take a sad Zhong and make him better
Remember that Har Gao’s good for your heart
You know that shrimp will make it better
Hey Yuet, don't be afraid
To make Lo Mai Gai with fresh chopped ginger
The minute you serve us crispy pork skin
Then you begin to make it better
And anytime you feel the strain, Hey Yuet, refrain
Don't carry bad reviews on your shoulders
For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool
By serving Choy Sum when it’s colder
Hey Yuet, don't let me down
Don’t douse beef tripe with too much vinegar
Remember to fill up foods on your cart
Then you can start to make it better
So let ‘em out and let ‘em in, Hey Yuet, begin
You're waiting for tables to open
And don't you know that it's just you, Hey Yuet, you'll do
Cause our love for Dim Sum has awoken
Na na na, na na na na
na na na na
Hey Yuet“

“I recently discovered that this Chinese restaurant is offering a lunch special. We must maintain quality. Don't sacrifice the quality of our dishes for the sake of increasing traffic. Packed fried chicken I'll try the braised fish set meal next time. We hope to invent more cost-effective package options.“

“Thankful that the restaurant was able to take our reservation, day of, on Mother's Day no less, for over 20+ people. C'mon now, at a Chinese restaurant, this is top-notch service, deserving of 5 stars for that alone! The food was good - I do think SoCal (626) Chinese food is better, but it's right there and it hit the spot. Did I mention they took our reservation, day of, on Mother's Day? Good stuff!“

“Chinatown gem for authentic Cantonese—East Season delivers big, fresh flavors! Food was outstanding: roast duck crispy-skinned and juicy, shrimp har gow plump and translucent, BBQ pork tender and sweet-savory, and live clam stir-fry garlicky and briny. Portions huge—great value.
Service was quick and friendly (they hustle during busy times). Atmosphere is classic and energetic—big tables, clattering carts, family vibe—feels like real dim sum chaos in the best way, though it's loud and crowded.“
“A youtuber reviewed this place i went to check it out order slice beef rice congee and roast pork . Ask the roast pork to be fatty cut both i took home to eat and it was good.
The front staff was friendly to me and evan gave e extra bag when e saw me riding my bike.“

“Yao is such a hidden gem. I was researching Cantonese restaurants that could host a large party for a birthday dinner without crazy dining room fees and found out about Yao. The space is beautiful and they have round tables big enough to seat up to 14 people. They were very responsive when I called. Service was great all evening and they didn’t even charge me extra fees for bringing an external cake. They even gave us knives to cut and Tupperware for each guest to take a slice home. The food was great and I loved how comfortable and big the table was for my whole party. Also there’s a lot of Asians at this restaurant which means you know the food is good. Highly recommend!!“
“The food at this newly opened restaurant was excellent. My family of 15 ate here for the Mid-Autumn festival and ordered a variety of dishes- including a salted fish fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, pan fried flounder, etc. All were excellent. The service is standard. The restaurant also got really loud so it was difficult to hear across the table.“

“I came to Cha Kee to eat on a Saturday afternoon. There was no wait! If you see a line outside, it’s most likely because of the neighboring Mei Lai Wah bakery, which you can walk past and go directly to the counter inside to get seated. The restaurant interior is clean and spacious, with plenty of seating, though some tables are connected, meaning parties could be seated close together. We were seated at a private booth and quickly ordered. I had the HK-style milk tea with ice, and it was strong and tasted amazing. The hot version was also pretty good. I think the condensed milk addition really sets this drink apart from other types of milk tea, and Cha Kee used a strong tea blend, really making this drink perfect. I ate the baked spaghetti, which is my go-to at HK cafes. Meanwhile, the stir fried rice noodles with squid was also delicious and perfectly seasoned. I also enjoyed a side of the peanut butter and condensed milk toast, but I think it could use more peanut butter and condensed milk to make it taste even better. I would highly recommend Cha Kee to anyone looking for a traditional HK cafe experience.“

“A very cozy and earnest place with authentic Chinese food in the form of small bites and classic dishes. The duck was super succulent and came with cucumber, scallion and traditional Chinese wraps. We also had the lamb and beef skewers which were so tender and flavorful! Definitely one of my favorites.
Saw lots of people who also dug into the hot pot and the grilled bass stewed in the big trays which also looked amazing. Will definitely be trying those next time around.
All in all a hidden gem with unassuming vibes but very cute decor (and funny! If you're in the private room in the back 😉). The plating and dishes are creative while still staying true to their roots.“

“This is our 4th time back to Xing Wong and the food and service continued to be excellent. We invited all 6 of our children and their spouses for a sit down lunch for a total of 10 dishes from beef and shrimp steamed rice rolls, roast duck, fish with bitter melons, chow fun, fried rice, general Zhao's chicken, Peking Pork Chop, Fried Calamari, and stir fried peapod shoots. My son the calamari expert proclaimed this was in the top 5 of his favorite restaurants. The General Zhao’s chicken was a bit sweet for my taste and we would’ve preferred dark instead of white meat. This was not a big negative as the services was prompted, courteous and warm. This meal left us with a positive experience and we’ll back for more.“

“Confused by previous reviews that state no one eats here anymore, as sitting here at lunchtime on a recent weekday showed a flurry of both delivery orders and dine-in customers. The menu is for sure pan-Asian/reflective of American-Chinese dishes, but also serves some specifically Chinese dishes, such as a few dim sum favorites that are harder to find unless you're at a Cantonese restaurant. Lunch special is a great deal with sizeable portions. Love that they keep the fridge stocked with desserts (believe some of them are from Vegan Treats?) and often have additional off-menu homemade items for sale at the counter or in the fridge, including ones related to Chinese cultural holidays. Always glad to support this small family-run business and have personally found their food to be consistent for the wide range of what they're cranking out of their kitchen! Hope they keep sticking around for years to come, as it's a great vegan option in this immediate area. Updated from previous review on 2026-03-01“

“The auntie at this cart pays attention to the details and does not skimp on the sauce, she used a scissor to make small openings in the noodle for the sauce to seep through to the bottom, giving a nice coating of sauce to every part of the noodles instead of letting most of the sauce pile up on top. Prices are reasonable as well!“

“Plenty of seating holding 40 odd people and the dining area is well maintained. There are 3 seats by the entrance to sit when it is at capacity and the place is not too stuffy. The menus show their age but that only adds to the atmosphere. Plenty of condiments and sauces on the tables. The only jarring thing is the accent lights which contrast heavily with the bright white LEDs.
The food was well done; tea and water was provided as well. The food was out in a short time after ordering. The pork fried rice had plenty of flavor alongside the ribs.
One last thing of note 18% gratuity is added for parties of 6 or more. Overall, a very good dine-in experience and excellent service for the price. Quick and efficient both in serving and in cleaning.“

“Behind this unassuming storefront is a hidden gem of a restaurant serving up delicious traditional Cantonese food. From the triple platter of duck/chicken/roast pork, to the beef chow fun, to the beef and Chinese broccoli, everything was fantastic. The star of the show, however, was the sweet and sour pork. It was the best I've ever had. It had a crisp outer skin and somehow a tender melt-in-your-mouth center, coated with the perfect mix of tangy and sweet. The quality is that of a fancier restaurant at hole in the wall prices. Definitely worth the visit!“

“Great staff. Food does not have enough “wok hei” meaning whoever is handling the wok either is not strong enough to toss or they are not cooking it long enough. Flavors on 3 out of 4 dishes were bland too spice department wise: razor clams, fried A choi with salted back bean dace (0 smoky taste), and crab fried rice. The sweet and sour pork chops were lathered with sauce so the flavor is good but the “wok hei” is missing and that’s pivotal for Cantonese food. Atmosphere is lively and friendly, not sure why someone one said you do not come here for the ambiance.“

“You don't go for the surroundings. You go for the spectacular dumplings and steamed buns. The menu is very small, only 7 items, and nothing is vegetarian. They focus on sweet and meaty steamed buns, packed with flavor and so so juicy.
Best part...nothing is more than $5!“
