“We came here to try the iconic pineapple pork bun! It’s pretty good but my partner definitely enjoyed it more than I did. I wish I was in NYC longer to try out everything else on their menu. Everything looked good and reasonably priced.“

“Loopy's is the best. Just finished some of their delicious Bibim Bop. The Apps are good too - Summer Rolls were crunchy and the shrimp fresh and fried dumplings were delish also. Definitely recommend, eaten here dozens of times and always consistently great.“

“Delicious. One complaint - the steak was $90 and was small in size and had a good amount of fat and gristle. However, the egg yolk cured in soy sauce it was served with was a great accompaniment.
Other recs
- Verde Margarita and Lychee Highball cocktails
- sweet potato croquettes
- chicory salad (that tahini peanut dressing!!!)
- mushroom mafaldine pasta
- cheesecake“

“The food was great and when they accidentally forgot one of our Shumai dumplings, they replaced it with 2, which I thought was really nice. The service is quick and efficient, and I appreciated them checking with us. They were nice about any questions we asked and the atmosphere was really nice and cozy. Definitely recommend.“

“I cannot stress how incredible every single aspect of our experience here was. Each bartender and waiter was professional and made our night memorable and fun. The food was exceptional and the ambiance was eclectic, clean, and put together. This is a must visit if you’re in the area.“

“The restaurant was a bit confusing at first since each of its three floors caters to a different experience. We ended up on the first floor because we wanted food, beer, and cocktails, and the staff said that was the best option.
The service was friendly, and our food arrived surprisingly quickly. As for the food itself, it was good across the board, but nothing really stood out or left a lasting impression. The oyster omelette was begging for a sauce and the arancini that the server recommended wasn’t very good. Something in it tasted weird, we inquired out of curiosity but were given a list of ingredients that didn’t solve the puzzle. However, the sausage brothers and fried platter were pretty tasty. The drinks, on the other hand, were much more memorable. They were creative, well-made, and most of them tasted great.
I'd say this isn't a place I'd go out of my way to visit for the food alone. But if you're looking for unique drinks with a few snacks to share, it's definitely worth checking out.“

“The place is great and feels like a dragon ball z lunch with Goku. Me and my son loved the food and the serve was fabulous. Even the food to go when heating it up tasted awesome. I would highly recommend going there.“

“Came in for a quick bite and ended up really liking it.
I had a beer, pork gyoza, and the dried spicy udon with shrimp. Everything tasted really homemade and fresh, not heavy or greasy like some places.
The gyoza was crispy on the bottom, juicy inside, and the udon had a nice spicy kick with good texture. Super easy, comforting meal with a beer on the side.
Nothing complicated—just good, fresh food that hits the spot.“

“I got the tuna and bulgogi kimbap and they were really good, the portions were amazing too definitely enough to satisfy. The owner was super kind and welcoming, she greeted me with a smile and advised me on how to properly eat the kimbap and started up a small chat with me, makes you feel cozy. Highly recommend!“

“I am southeast asian (Cambodian), so I was very pleased to find this hidden gem in Chinatown on Mott St! The food is tasty and full of flavor, and the portion is great! I am very picky with my asian food, so when I say I approve, I approve! Come give it a try!!“

“A great restaurant to entertain a group of people, the atmosphere and service is very good with attentive staff and you can actually carry a conversation without yelling at each other.
The food comes out in a more family style manner where it is recommended to get multiple items to try a bit of everything. The food overall is pretty nice and I would give it a personal 7/10, but I wouldn't say it is a great price ratio. It's a more fusion style restaurant, but the flavors are on point and I would not be disappointed if I we're asked to come back .
My favorites of the night were the roasted cauliflower, Japanese sweet potatoe, Sea Bass, and all the desserts!“

“It’s a very Americanised Chinese restaurant (but that’s fine). It’s not as upscale as it looks in the pictures/they make it seem - it’s just a normal restaurant. They had a lot of takeaway orders though it seems.
I ordered the lobster shumai and it was definitely just prawn (shrimp) but they were actually genuinely very good so I won’t complain.
Lo mein was quite a large portion.
Service was very good! I liked my server a lot“

“Small gem in Sugar Hill. Noodles were tasty and got the perfect mouth feel. Buddha dumplings were great. The shop is small but it does have an outside area as well. Recommend to do the online order so you can pop in and out and not wait because everything is freshly done.“

“My wife and I ate in Phoshime 2 days in a row as the food was amazing and the staff were lovely! We met on the second night with our NYC friends who we hadn't seen in nearly 26 years! The female staff member whose name I didn't get, heard us saying it had been nearly 26 years since we were all together and she moved us to a larger table with more privacy! I can't stress enough just how good this restaurant is in terms of the food, staff and atmosphere! If you like Vietnamese food and you're in New York then this is the restaurant to eat at! It doesn't open on a Monday so we couldn't eat here in our last day of our holiday but it will be our first restaurant to eat in on our next trip 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩“

“Asian food, Chinese old school food? Don’t treat yourself bad. Don’t eat the same old food that you eat every day. Try this clean vegan place and you will enjoy yourself as I will always enjoy myself wherever I go. Now they will fix you vegan food. They do not have any beef and pork, but you won’t even miss it. It’s a wonderful place. Thank you so much.“

“Portions were generous, easily enough for more than one meal. The box leaned toward fried and saucy fast-casual comfort food. The fried chicken was crunchy, and the noodles were chewy—not soggy or oily. There was also a mix of greens and fresh tomato, which helped balance out the richness.“

“My guests and I had a marvelous evening at this beautiful restaurant. Our server-recommended food selections, were delicious, exquisitely prepared and beautifully presented. Our drinks and desserts were equally outstanding. Most importantly, the management team and service staff provided us with impressive and exemplary hospitality and service. For the three of us, our special night at 53 NYC was a wonderful dining experience that we will long appreciate, remember and cherish.“

“Good food at a decent price. It’s a food cart so service is quick. They allow small modifications like removing a sauce or the salad. Only thing I can complain about is a small bone in the chicken at peak hours and a subpar workflow where if there’s a lot of people they’ll make 3-4 orders before anybody can get their food.“

“I love this place, they have the best food, I come there often I love that place they have the best service and workers ever! However, when I come to eat dinner there around 6 pm or 7 pm, they are already closed, it makes me feel awful and upset because I love their food but they close TOO early which I think should be changed. I also HIGLY recommend to add soy sauce to any rice roll if you are eating one, especially my favorite, Beef rice roll! ❤♥Thank you for your understanding, I really hope you can close at least at 7:30 pm! 👌👌👌“

“I ordered with too good to go, and the food was so yummy! I think my onigiri had fish in it, and it was so delicious. The tea was also very warming & the lady who handed me the food was super sweet. If I’m back in New York I’d love to come and sit down here.“

“Dan Dan noodles and soup dumplings were very good! Beef cumin dish was good but spicy and the numbing oil stays true to its name! Just ask for less spice if you’re sensitive. I love spice but that cumin dish was a lot. Overall everything was very good.“

“Ottimo ristorante di Ramen (giapponese e non quello "tarocco" o fatto con quello istantaneo del supermercato) che offre anche una fantastica selezione di ravioli. Prezzi tutto sommato accettabili per la media della città e acqua gratuita. Posto piccolo, accogliente, staff cordiale e velocissimo. Porzioni corpose quindi ordinate con cautela o non riuscirete a finire tutto.“

“Clean environment selling raw whole fish for decent prices in upper East Harlem, bringing a fish butcher shop close to me in my neighborhood instead of having to go to China town. Love that they also serve affordable Chinese, sushi, and even seafood boil dishes. Very authentic and wholesome location.“

“Location was quick walk from our hotel and Susukino is authentic, it took me and my husband back to when we visited Japan this spring. I got the curry udon and my husband got the tonkatsu (pork katsu), both were amazing. We had suntory beer and dessert as well. I would not recommend the matcha cheesecake,my only disappointment, but regardless if I lived here I would be eating here often.“
