“A calm and pleasant spot for lunch.

I came during the afternoon and the place was quiet.
The staff was very friendly and even asked how the meal was at the end.
Note: It’s self-service.

Food: The hand-pulled noodles and broth were fresh and excellent.
The fried side dish was crispy and flavorful.
Drink: The iced black tea with mango was light and very refreshing.
Tip: As you can see in the video - the portions are very generous.
I recommend ordering a small size because I couldn’t finish it.

Seating: I sat by the window facing the street. It was nice to eat and watch Broadway at the same time.
There’s also an inner bar table closer to the kitchen.
The place is clean and the surrounding area feels calm and safe.

Price: Very affordable and filling.
This was my first time trying authentic Chinese food and I was pleasantly surprised.
Highly recommend and worth saving for a real local meal.“

“Do yourself a huge favor and order the Taichung cocktail - the taro foam on top is to DIE for creamy and tasty, and the drink itself is so refreshing and pleasant. The drink tokens for the tea-infused liquors are sooo cool and fun, we all got different kinds and shared. Super yummy. Great spot so close to Grand Central, wish I had known about it sooner! Will definitely be back! Don’t sleep on the beef noodle soup, either. The ube tart was the perfect dessert. Wow, great experience and amazing vibes. Treat yourself here 👏👏👏“

The fried rice is awesome and the general tso’s chicken was delicious, with portions so big that we took home leftovers. “An interesting Asian/Japanese fusion restaurant. The food was creative and tasted pretty good. I particularly enjoyed the dungeness crab, lots of yellow crab oil/fat and some crab meat over rice. The silken tofu was also interesting, a bit salty though. The grilled sea bream and half sasso chicken were delicious. Hopefully there will be more dishes added to the menu in the future, as the current menu items seemed a bit limited. Service was good and the atomsohere was also elegant, clean and chic.“

“Management has changed since our first visit in April 2026. The menu has also changed. We enjoyed the previous menu more in terms of options and flavor. We did not expect the $250+ Service fee on top of the $300+ gratuity. After reviewing our invoice, a huge error was discovered -- we were overcharged by $300. We were refunded for that $300 error. Air conditioner was out of service. We decided to skip dessert and wrap up dinner earlier than planned.“

“I used Trip Advisor to get me here and everything reviewers had said was true. Authentic Sichuan food and, for a person like myself, dining solo, a great appetizer menu. I was happy to take the server’s recommendations and they were right. And for midtown Manhattan it was reasonably priced.

“The foie gras and eel toast was my favorite: rich and aromatic, with pleasantly sweet eel and toast that balanced the richness. The strawberry slice had a disappointing texture that evening. The chicken soup dumplings were juicy, though the truffle flavor overwhelmed the other ingredients for me. The black pepper beef was sweeter than I prefer, while the greens helped balance the meal. I also enjoyed the tender black cod clay pot rice. I’d return for the toast and rice.“

“A great restaurant to entertain a group of people, the atmosphere and service is very good with attentive staff and you can actually carry a conversation without yelling at each other.

The food comes out in a more family style manner where it is recommended to get multiple items to try a bit of everything. The food overall is pretty nice and I would give it a personal 7/10, but I wouldn't say it is a great price ratio. It's a more fusion style restaurant, but the flavors are on point and I would not be disappointed if I we're asked to come back .

My favorites of the night were the roasted cauliflower, Japanese sweet potatoe, Sea Bass, and all the desserts!“

“It’s a very Americanised Chinese restaurant (but that’s fine). It’s not as upscale as it looks in the pictures/they make it seem - it’s just a normal restaurant. They had a lot of takeaway orders though it seems.

I ordered the lobster shumai and it was definitely just prawn (shrimp) but they were actually genuinely very good so I won’t complain.

Lo mein was quite a large portion.

“Hi, I’d like to say that Anna has been by far the best server I’ve ever came across in life. She’s friendly, kind and such an amazing person as whole and makes my Thai iced tea cold beverage amazing.
This place overall is immaculate and an amazing safe eating space. This restaurant will always see me on the weekends for sure!

Try this clean vegan place and you will enjoy yourself as I will always enjoy myself wherever I go. Now they will fix you vegan food. They do not have any beef and pork, but you won’t even miss it. I ended up eating a dried shrimp rice roll about six hours later, straight from the package without reheating, and it was still wonderfully fresh and bouncy. The texture was excellent, and the shrimp added a satisfying savory flavor. I gave the cilantro scallion roll to a coworker, who was also impressed by how fresh it tasted even hours after purchase. “Great old school Hong Kong/American Cantonese food. Has all the family favorites, sweet and sour pork, stir fried lobster, walnut shrimp, etc. and they do them all very well! Apparently this is the family funeral restaurant. I’m sure we’ve been here for other occasions but recently were here for lunch a dinner multiple times. Food and service were great each time and everything tasted right. Restaurant isn’t the biggest but they can handle a large party. I believe the may be cash only also.“

“It's a food cart on the street that takes care and sells amazing chicken teriyaki. I got a whole Tupperware of chicken teriyaki and a soda for $11 and it was amazing! Will definitely be coming back, and it's close enough to Madison Square Park where you can go and sit to eat there!“
