About Big Wong

Big Wong is a popular Cantonese restaurant known for its solid takeout options and authentic Cantonese cuisine. Customers often praise the delicious barbecue meats, such as roast duck and crispy pork, though some have noted varying quality. The service for takeout orders is quick, making it a convenient choice. The menu includes a variety of options, such as salted pork with thousand-year-old egg congee, wonton with noodles, and bean curd with mixed vegetables. Portions are generous, and the food is consistently good, making Big Wong a reliable choice for both dine-in and takeout Cantonese cuisine.

The Williamsburg location has received mixed reviews; however, many customers who have dined at the original Chinatown location appreciate the consistent quality of the dishes. Some guests have mentioned that dining in can be enjoyable, although feedback on certain dishes, like Peking duck, suggests that some items may not meet expectations in terms of temperature and preparation.

Customers have praised the delicious soup dumplings, which are described as having a thin skin that holds the broth perfectly, with a rich and satisfying flavor. The sushi and other dishes are also said to taste fresh and carefully prepared. One customer, who is from China and considers themselves picky about Chinese food, was impressed by the jook (congee) and recommended trying the crispy noodle dishes.

The Best chinese food in Brooklyn. Authentic in every way the staff is kind and the food is fresh and fantastic.
Sesame chicken was good but overpriced at 20$. The other dish I ordered was disgusting unfortunately. Wonton lo mein was flavorless and all around awful. The noodles were like instant ramen quality and the wontons tasted microwaved I honestly couldn’t tell you what meat was inside the wonton. Service was good and the place was nice.
Mr Wong saved my life. I was on the tail end of a ripper night in WB and he blessed me and my mates with his roast duck, chicken, fried rice and beef Lo Mein at around 1am.

His hospitality is elite, his beer is cold, his food is delicious. Thank you for your service Mr Wong!
