This place is an absolute staple. I’ve been here many times but I felt compelled to leave a review after having this lamb shank and garlic chicken. The food has always been on point and the ambience is quaint. Although it’s only steps from the Vernon stop on the 7 train, it never feels overwhelming in terms of noise or foot traffic. Peaceful, savory, and welcoming.
Tournesol is really just the most enjoyable local neighborhood bistro that you can find in the Long Island City area. The staff is super friendly and straightforward in their recommendations, they have excellent service and the chef is happy to help you decide on the best dishes each day. This is a lovely little bistro. My brother and I went for brunch. We shared the endive and bleu cheese salad for a starter and I had the french toast with fresh fruit. Both dishes were amazing. The servers are really friendly and very attentive. Tres magnifique!
