La Diáspora Reviews
Great spot for lunch to dinner. Kind of a all-day, everyday spot. Serving from noon till late night. Great comfort Latin American cuisine. Full service restaurant and bar.
Excellent food and friendly service! I will be dreaming about those fish tacos and the churros we're delicious. Drinks we're fantastic too, 10/10
Great place to hang if you're looking for a good happy hour spot. The vibes and music were good. $10 frozen margaritas weren't that strong but they are refreshing. Very attentive table service.

La Diáspora is a lively spot in Chinatown that offers a great mix of food, drinks, and friendly service. Despite its unassuming dive bar appearance, it surprises guests with surprisingly great food. The menu features delicious options like fish tacos, wings, and a bone marrow burger, all made fresh and flavorful. The vegetarian quesadillas and tacos are also highly recommended, and the shrimp cocktail is considered better than many places in the USA, with juicy shrimp in a tasty sauce. Housemade sauces, hot sauces, and liquors add to the fresh, natural flavor profile. Guests often praise the drinks, especially the spicy pineapple margaritas and frozen hibiscus margs, which are both delicious. The green tea shots and housemade chips with guacamole are also favorites. Service is friendly and accommodating, with staff going above and beyond to ensure a good experience. The owner is knowledgeable and cares about the quality. The atmosphere is relaxed, making it a good place for a quick drink after crossing Brooklyn Bridge or before a show at The Bowery Ballroom. Overall, La Diáspora combines a casual vibe with excellent food, drinks, and friendly service, making it a place worth visiting at least once.
