“Best place to get Soul-Food. The wait may be long but the service is awesome. I been going to Rockaway fish house for years. My grandmother worked there with her good friend and owner Mr. Charlie, when Carmichael dinner closed down. If you want some good down SOUL-FOOD YOU have to give Rockaway fish house “
“I found this place by accident, and I am so happy that I did. It is a little place on 232 Street and Merrick boulevard it is small does not have much seating but the food is amazing. I personally had the oxtails, and the jerk chicken along with their macaroni and cheese. It is a buffet style serve yourself and you pay by the pound. Very reasonably pricedIf you love Caribbean and soul food this is a Must try. I would give it more than five stars if I was able to.“
“I work near this location in Jamaica ave, I come in for lunch maybe once or twice a month and get a large jerk chicken with rice and peas. The large or is to save for dinner. However the consistency is not the same with all servers. The service is good, but you need to know that it's make your order and go. It's a standard Jamaica flavors spot, and will keep coming back“

“Outstanding soul food at a local deli. Jerk chicken here is as good as any jerk spot I've found around NYC. Chicken was juicy, fell right of the bone, and a had beautiful smoke ring. A plate with two sides was only $12. Good neighborhood vibes here. Service was super friendly and quick. We need more locally owned community oriented businesses like this.“
“Vibes 2 restaurant in New York truly exceeded all my expectations and left me with an unforgettable dining experience. From the moment I walked through the door, I was immediately captivated by the restaurant's modern and chic ambiance, creating the perfect setting for an exceptional meal. The menu at Vibes 2 is a celebration of flavors and culinary creativity that will delight even the most discerning food enthusiasts. Offering a diverse selection of dishes from various culinary traditions, each plate is a work of art, masterfully prepared with the finest ingredients and attention to detail.“
“I ordered cater trays of curry chicken, rice and peas, Mac snd cheese and collard greens and the food was delicious and the professionalism from the staff was A++. Everyone at the party was raving about how good the food was!! I sincerely highly recommend!!“
“Although I must say the food was good, I think it is a tad overpriced for the amount of food one gets. I did take out (Easter Sunday) and had an additional side of candied yams (sweet potatoes with only 4 thin slices and was charged $7 for this side...WHAT??!! The (whiting) fish dinner (3 SLICES FISH, MAC N' CHEESE AND COLLARDS) totaled $32( incl. the sweet potato side.) Good dinner BUT OVERPRICED.Parking: Parking not great.“
“We were visiting family and we ended up finding this place. Don't let the exterior fool you. The food was fenomenal. So good, there was no time for pictures. Mac and cheese was our favorite. Yams were so delicious and sweet, I'm craving as I'm writing. Fish and chicken flavor were also great. I read some reviews about their service and I have to completely disagree. They were super friendly and helpful. They let us try samples of the food and super welcoming. Also, easy to find parking! I highly recommend.“
“Okay so on Sunday 9/17/2023 I came ordered a chicken sandwich with fries and a 2 piece with macaroni salad. I get home which is 20 minutes away and all I have is a 2 piece nothing else and the sandwich my son said was what was served to him in school. I gave a 5 star because I’ve been coming here for years. But going forward I will check my orders before leaving and not get there chicken sandwich again.Parking: I prefer the drive through“
