“I was pleasantly smacked in the face by the aroma. I got a pulled pork sandwich and some brisket. I asked for my sandwich (none of the stuff that comes on it) because I like to try the actual meat. It was DELISH! I will return to try it as they offer it. The brisket was awesome also.“

“Came to Fette Sau on 8/3 for the first time. The manager was extremely hospitable and once we told him it was our first time he made suggestions that would give us the best food experience. Service was quick, staff was so friendly and food was absolutely delicious. It started raining when we went to leave, and the manager went to get a lost and found box of umbrellas that hadn’t been claimed in some time, and gave us one so we wouldn’t get wet walking to our car. We will definitely be back to try other menu items and enjoyed our experience very much. Thanks again Fette Sau!“

“Best place in Philly for Korean BBQ! A rare place still using coal instead of gas to cook, giving the meat a terrific, smoky flavor. It holds up well against the BBQ I had in Korea.
The staff is very friendly and they cook the food for you. I’ve been here many times and will absolutely be back soon.“

“The chicken frames are full of great flavour. In my opinion, their braised chicken with brown sauce tastes even better than dedicated braised‑chicken chain restaurants — definitely give it a try!
If you can handle spicy food, go for extra‑hot on the grilled skewers. They taste fantastic.“

“This is an iconic neighborhood spot. Food is delicious and tastes just like it did when I was a kid in the 80's. Excellent waitress last night who did a terrific job. The ribs, stuffing, burgers, wings and corn muffins are amazing!!!! The space is nothing special but it is nostalgic if you grew up in NE Philly. Its a must try go to spot. We love RIB RACK!!!“

“Run, don't walk to Mike's BBQ. Texas wishes they could outdo Pit Master Jimmy. The brisket cheese steak sandwich was the best cheese steak we ever had and the pulled pork melted in your mouth and home made bbq sauce the perfect sweet tangy topping to go with the sweet fluffy roll The mac and cheese was rich and creamy and the chips perfectly seasoned. Staff was attentive and kind. The environment is chill with a rock soundtrack to vibe to. Can't wait to go back and taste more things on the menu.“

“I been meaning to try this place for the longest. I place my order via phone. I got the shrimp, rice with string beans something simple. I forgot what type of sauce I got but It was good you really didnt need it because the rice was full of favor. The shrimp was delicious. The only thing I didn't like was the long string beans and the mushrooms. The wait wasn't bad because I place my order over the phone. When I got there my food was ready but the atmosphere wasn't good. It was a man in there smoking a pipe. The employees tired to get him out but he didn't move but they did call police but the police didn't show up by the time I left. Its not the employee fault. I would try it again.“

“My cousin and I were looking for a spot that was in between my suburban Philly home & her S.Jersey location. We asked Google for a great restaurant in Fishtown & they sent us here. WAY TO GO GOOGLE!! We shared 2 incredibly yummy & imaginative sandwiches (a phenomenal crabcake & a grilled goat cheese). Both were accompanied by delicious sides (fresh Caesar salad and fantastic fries). Sam was our server extraordinaire. Highly recommended that PHANTASTIC PHILLY PHIND!! We will be back❣️“

“Do not judge a book by its cover. I almost didn’t eat here because (in my mind) it looked too casual. It is very bare bones and only has about 6 tables. Me and my husband were looking for crispy duck. We ended up getting the “roast duck (Hong Kong style). It was a huge amount for $20!!! Lots of juicy tender duck meat with crispy skin in a sauce that was delicious. We also had the shrimp dumplings (8 but I had already eaten 3) where you could actually detect lots of shrimp, no mystery seafood filler. My husband ordered a side of fried rice. The whole meal was outstanding, delicious and at a great price.“

“I've loved their bbq filet mignon & spicy boneless chicken with jerk sauce for years but unfortunately I can no longer afford them. To get 1 of each of these platters with tax, delivery & tip took the total close to $70. I don't know when I'll get their food again. Super super bummed about it.“

“Food was great, not sure if effort was put into it because of the 4th but I pray that the consistency of the food and service stays the same. Sometimes I really try to support black owned business and down the road things change either the doors are open whenever, out of food and quality has changed these are just a few. But I'm not going to stop supporting until I'm given a reason. So for now everything is a go on my way there come on out and support“
