“Stumbled upon this bakery on a walk. The pastry options were different than you normally see at other places. There was a more unique variety.

I tried the Carrot Yogurt Safeha $7 (roasted carrots, topped with herby yogurt sauce, zatar, walnuts, and olive oil). This was delicious! I ate the first half heated and the second half hours later. Still delicious! The carrots were soft and sweet. The yogurt was not too overpowering.

I plan to come back for another one and to try some other options!

Kashkawan Cheese Safeha (kashkawan, halloumi, herby labneh, hot honey, nigella seeds) $7 - we enjoyed this heated up. Would get again.

Lahm B'ajin (ground beef and spices fulled topped with rahini, onion sumac and green salad) $8 - enjoyed this but would opt to try something new next time. It was heated up but maybe it would have been better if the beef was warmed up a little long“

“If you love chocolate chip cookies, the best there is in the world is Levain. Born out NYC's Upper West Side, Levain is now throughout the East Coast. Walk inside this location and find a giant room with products for sale and all the pastries on display. If it's your first time, order the chocolate chip walnut one. It's their original. It always comes out warm and gooey inside. There's a little nook that fits a small group of people if you want to stay, but most people get their cookie to go.“

“I've been buying from Isgros since 1975. Anyone who writes a bad review of this beloved bakery is likely to think the Grand Canyon is merely a hole in the ground. Don't believe any of their drivel. Maybe.....maybe!....they caught a bad batch of goods....but its highly unlikely. Everything sells out! How can stuff be stale? Impossible!! Everything they produce is simply sensational. I've never heard of any complaints from anybody who I know to be a regular customer. Pricing? Is that even worth mentioning? Does anyone gripe about the price of a Mercedes? The goods cost what they cost because they're high quality and delicious.“

“I was in the area and decided to pop by to try a thing or two. Not knowing anyone who had tried them before I stuck to the small, individual sized items…browned butter chocolate chip cookies, morning croissant and some pizza dough. It all comes frozen but I had other places to go so some started defrosting in the car. Here’s my review of each. Cookies - I don’t like ANY chocolate chip cookie that doesn’t have nuts in them. I usually wouldn’t even buy them, I decided to try these because of the browned butter. I had one in the car before I got home and they were AMAZING! I shocked myself at how much I enjoyed them. They were soft without being chewy, a feature I hate in cookies personally, and had nice crispy edges, even after defrosting! The taste, texture and everything about these defied all that I thought was possible with a gf cookie! 10 out of 10 Pizza dough - since it was defrosted by the time I got him I decided to make a couple mini pizzas. I used half the dough, I bag will easily make 4-5 personal sized pizzas. I thought I had rolled it too thin as it started to break apart so I made it a little thicker. It rises while cooking so when I do the rest, I’ll leave it thinner for sure. Because other gf pizzas seem to have such difficulty cooking in the city I was concerned when I saw these rising. But they cooked up beautifully! It was soooo nice having gf pizzas seem that had the taste and texture of traditional crust. I appreciate suppliers for having the option available, and some are better than others…but the Flakely dough is the standard now! I’ll never buy another gf pizza, whether it be a restaurant or a market. 10 out of 10 Morning croissant - I put this right in the freezer so I haven’t tasted it yet. But it looks phenomenal! They described it as a cross between a cinnamon roll and a croissant. You can’t go wrong with that combo as a general thing but given how the cookie and pizza dough has tasted, I have no doubt this will be terrific as well! Run, don’t walk, over to their shop and let’s make sure they’re around for the long haul. Just beware, they might spoil you against some of your existing faves!“

“This place was incredible. I was hungry and freezing when we got there. I got a croque monsuier ( fancy grilled cheese n ham with extra butter) delicious. A caramel macchiatto and a fruit tart. My Goodness...the cream and the pastry on that tart...problematic to say the least. So, so delicious. Very friendly atmosphere, very clean and efficient. I will definitely return. “Yet another hidden gem in Philly. I came in for the first time today by chance and immediately felt so so so welcomed into the space. It is much smaller of a space than Madis Coffee Roasters (Twisted Grounds has only a few small tables to sit), but the staff is equally as kind, friendly, talkative, and enjoyable to be around. You can quickly tell that the team here has a great rapport with each other, and it makes the atmosphere comfortable and fun to be in. They have super cute merch and engaging conversations.
