Why only have one gold mines when you could have 2 !!!“

“Mighty Bread has attained elite status. It is the best bakery-cafe you’ll find in Philly, no question, and one of my favorite spots. This gem slings stellar pastries, sandwiches, and kale salad (add turkey and soft boiled eggs). The focaccia is probably #1 in Philly, and served alongside dreamy whipped ricotta.

Favorite sandwiches lately: breakfast sandwich with bacon and/or mushroom, turkey caesar hoagie, Italian hoagie, tozzino, and prosciutto, pesto, & mozz.

They slay on a Monday, but be sure to go on a weekend for the Scrambo Platter and whatever exceptional specials they’ve got going on. The staff are kind, patient, and helpful. Lines get loooong but move at a reasonable pace. Whatever you get, you can’t go wrong!“

Called her on Thursday for a Saturday late day delivery… top notch, on time delivery but best yet… amazing mini cupcakes…baked on Saturday delivered fresh!!! “I’m obsessed! Found this bakery on too good to go & took a ride over (from jersey) I came home with 4 different flavors of the banana pudding & my 16 year old and I tried each one. I can’t even pick a favorite because they are all so good. The Magic flavor name makes complete sense when you take a bite because different flavors seem to magically appear in your mouth (peanut butter being the last to hit…) hard to explain but if you taste it, it will make sense! I got 2 large puddings in my order than bought 2 different small ones in different flavors & i regret not getting the 2 extra cups in large! Driving in Philly stresses me out but I’ve never wanted to drive back over there so bad! For more pudding! I will be recommending this bake shop to everyone! The guy behind the counter was super nice & welcoming and helped me pick out some favorites. It’s a nice Friendly shop with amazing puddings & I will definitely be back!“

Their quality baked goods have been perfected and passed down through generations which puts them above all else! “Sweet T's was amazing. The taste of every cake we tried was delicious and we ended on the tres leches cake. We also had some gluten free and dairy free people at our wedding and we were able to stop by the shop on a whim to ask to add some gluten free and some dairy free cupcakes to our order for them. Decor was amazing and they were so kind. I highly recommend them for any event, we will be using them again!“

“I love this family! I walk in and feel like home. They have the best cappuccino since I got back from Italy (get the dad to make it for you :) ) I’ve gotten my anniversary and birthday cake here plus goodie for my coworkers and me. “My fiancé and I stopped in here to grab something sweet after a lunch date and BOY we were NOT disappointed with what we bought!! The environment is so friendly and inviting, the staff is sweet as can be and the dessert are DELICIOUS!! It was our first time here so they offered us one of three cookies to try and phew they sold us on the spot, we tried the cannoli and ricotta cookies and they were mouthwateringly good, they were light, fluffy and subtle yet still packed with flavor, they were so good we grabbed a half a pound!! We also snagged a massive fudgie brownie and betty funfetti cookie both absolutely phenomenal and all for under $20!!! 100/10 would recommend this place to anyone and everyone, they even have a few liquor infused treats for those old enough to enjoy…OH and they offer ice cream on Thursday nights!! We grabbed a punch card cause we’ll definitely be coming back here and SOON!!“

“I practically come here about 3-4 times a week. The Chinatown bakeries are such a good place to get a quick lunch on a short little break. All of the staples such as hot dog buns, sesame balls, and the light cakes are practically at every bakery. I come here the most because the staff is the most patient and kind demeanor wise, they don't rush you and try to scurry you out so fast. Plus they take Venmo! I don't feel comfortable using my card everywhere and I never have cash on me so its perfect. A hot dog bun, iced milk tea, and a coconut tart only for 6.50 ?and yes the cup is a little suggestive to say the least ?“

“I love this spot so much! Everything is so delicious, high quality, and fresh. I swear by the egg and cheese biscuit sandwich as the best biscuit breakfast sandwich in the city. Today I branched out and got the mushroom quiche and a cup of the special soup (squash coconut curry) and I’m so delighted! Will have to try more lunch items in the future. Not a bad thing to say about this place, but do note that the seating is limited and it’s probably best for takeout.“

“I had the opportunity to experience this French bakery for breakfast with some family. The atmosphere here was nice in the sense that it was easy to have a conversation and it wasn’t really loud. There is a few tables in side to sit at. We got the bigger table at the back that is good for a larger group as there was 7 of us. I had the Natilla banana crape that was very good and I would have it again. I would come back here again in the future if I am back in Philadelphia.“

“If you try the cookies at Downtown Cookies and say they aren’t the most delicious things you’ve ever eaten you can’t be telling the truth! Morgan and her bakers are artists with these cookies. These are massive, dense, delectable cookies with some classic and some unique flavors that Morgan has added her own flair to. She does a flavor of the month which are always on theme for a nearby holiday and they are so fun and absolute works of art. For our wedding, Morgan did an assortment of 5 cookie flavors of our choosing, plastic wrapped each, and then packaged them in individual boxes with ribbons of our color choice (to match our theme!) and then she made stickers and adorned them to each box. It was service beyond what I expected and the presentation was immaculate. We had the cookies placed at each table setting to ensure guests wouldn’t forget their favors and, walking around at our reception, we noticed more than a few cookie boxes had already been opened and sampled before the night’s conclusion. Couldn’t even blame them! Having been set on edible favors, we’re so glad we chose Morgan and Downtown Cookies to bring a sweet end to our special day.“

“Yes to everything. The main storefront is mostly just their warehouse, so not a lot of space to stay/eat, but the products are amazing. Everything from the pretzel shortbread cookies to the einkorn canele! Their sweet and treats are very wholesome and filling. Can’t go wrong with anything you order“
