“Simply: the BEST bakery in the area! I can't say enough- just go see for yourself. You won't regret it. And EVERYTHING is low calory, just ask them. The only negative remark- they aren't open enough hours, I suppose they have to have a life ... but we NEED the treats. NEED!!!“

“Thank you again for this wonderful giveaway!! ❤️❤️❤️“

“I always love a good Cinnabon and Deptford mall’s did not disappoint. The guy who was working there was great and took my and my family’s orders with a great attitude. The Cinnamon rolls were phenomenal and my cousins enjoyed the coffee drinks that they ordered.

Kid-friendliness: The mini bons are a good size for a child!“

“Love me some Auntie Anne's pretzels so good and fresh!“

“Love The Kettle Black! Amazing vegan croissants, bagels & other treats! Their cold brew is always on point! Super friendly and talented folks!“

“I’m obsessed! Found this bakery on too good to go & took a ride over (from jersey) I came home with 4 different flavors of the banana pudding & my 16 year old and I tried each one. I can’t even pick a favorite because they are all so good. The Magic flavor name makes complete sense when you take a bite because different flavors seem to magically appear in your mouth (peanut butter being the last to hit…) hard to explain but if you taste it, it will make sense! I got 2 large puddings in my order than bought 2 different small ones in different flavors & i regret not getting the 2 extra cups in large! Driving in Philly stresses me out but I’ve never wanted to drive back over there so bad! For more pudding! I will be recommending this bake shop to everyone! The guy behind the counter was super nice & welcoming and helped me pick out some favorites. It’s a nice Friendly shop with amazing puddings & I will definitely be back!“

“Different Philly bakeries make my top list for different reasons. If you want sourdough this is THE place to get it (rosemary peppercorn is my fave). Morning buns are great too. The rest--croissants, danishes and most savory options are ok but nothing special. The staff are super friendly. The cafe can get very crowded at times, and I think there are better options for breakfast in the general area.“

“We love the croissant and bagels! Can’t wait to try more yummy things next week! And it’s AMAZING to have delivery.“

“Love Majdal! Everything I have had from them is phenomenal! However, some of their customers really need to be more courteous and mindful of other patrons. They are super popular and have lines out of the door most of the time. Today when I went was no different, but two women were sitting at the window table - clearly done with the food and just chitchatting! This is not a starbucks for gods sake, if you are done with the food, just move on to a garden or something for your gossip sesh and let other paying customers sit. There needs to be a sign saying no lingering or please be mindful of other patrons and keep moving. Taking off 1 star on how they manage the customer seating.“

“Rhonda came through for my daughters 21st bday party! Called her on Thursday for a Saturday late day delivery… top notch, on time delivery but best yet… amazing mini cupcakes…baked on Saturday delivered fresh!!! The cupcakes were so flavorful…each one was mouth watering!!! Thank you Rhonda @seconddaughterbakingco 10 out of 10!!!!“

“Had the salted caramel doughnut bc my wife wanted a taste. Caramel is never MY first choice, but it was quite possibly the best pastry I’ve ever eaten.“

“Steve and his staff are so kind and have the best tomato pie for a price you can't beat. They are fantastic neighbors to have and always take the time to ask how you're doing; it's a temptation every day they're open to walk over and say hi and grab lunch. Can't recommend them enough!“

“I love the food here. But i went there tonight around 730 and it was frigid outside. Just as we were sitting down to eat our food the worker decided to open the doors to carry all the outdoor furniture in then kept them open while he changed trash outside too. Not a care in the world for how freezing it was for his customers. It was extremely disappointing. We drive like 25 minutes to eat here. May be a while before we do that again.“

“I accidentally ordered my cookies to the wrong location and the staff were so nice about it and helped me out. It’s that kind of thing that makes a huge difference and will keep me coming back. And of course the cookies are delicious“

“I was visiting Philly for work from London doing some research at the nearby Historical Society of Pennsylvania and ended up coming here everyday for breakfast and snacks! Amazing ham and cheese croissant, Napoleon pastry, coffee and juice, and all the people working there are polite and kind.“

“i'll always love you mayflower bakery <3
ham cheese corn bun is always very yummy. today is mango smoothie -- very good, not too sweet. i will try papaya another day maybe, hopefully avocado soon.

the place is small, but personally cozy for me to sit in. very nice people :)“

“AMAZING egg sandwiches! Tried the bacon and the sausage. The spicy aoli and the fried egg on that perfect biscuit make this a top-tier breakfast sandwich. So reasonably priced, too. I've paid twice the price for things half as good as this. Will definitely make this a regular spot“

“Delicious and fresh Brazilian dessert“

“Welcome to the Asian 9rh st. The area is complete with nuance of fish heads and stray cats. The Filthy Orient would fit in well in this area. The pretzels are tasty ,but I have to disinfect my work boots when I leave this store.“

“I LOVE and 100% recommend The Famous 4th Street Cookie Company! Someone had their cookies mailed to me as a sympathy gift back in 2021. Since then, I myself have sent them to so many family and friends. Here are my top reasons for loving this company: 1. Their chocolate chip cookies are seriously so amazing! (and I am very particular about my chocolate chip cookies), 2. Their service is amazing! They respond to emails and phone messages really quickly and do what they can to help, 3. They are military friendly - whenever I need to ship to my nephew's military base in Alaska (which is very hard to get companies to deliver to by the way), they always help me out, get the shipping done quickly, and are super helpful. When my nephew gets the cookies in Alaska, they are always amazing. This is a great company that I will continue to use to send friends and family delicious gifts.“

“Levain Bakery never disappoints! The mini ice cream sandwich is absolutely delicious, the perfect combo of a chewy cookie and creamy ice cream. The Chocolate Chip Brioche is also incredible, so soft and buttery. Their drinks are always amazing too, and the workers here are so nice every single time. Highly recommend!“

“Excellent bakery! My “go-to” for cakes and cupcakes. Absolutely delicious and creative!“

“I've been buying from Isgros since 1975. Anyone who writes a bad review of this beloved bakery is likely to think the Grand Canyon is merely a hole in the ground. Don't believe any of their drivel. Maybe.....maybe!....they caught a bad batch of goods....but its highly unlikely. Everything sells out! How can stuff be stale? Impossible!! Everything they produce is simply sensational. I've never heard of any complaints from anybody who I know to be a regular customer. Pricing? Is that even worth mentioning? Does anyone gripe about the price of a Mercedes? The goods cost what they cost because they're high quality and delicious.“

“Wow! Honestly I just found Sugared about six weeks ago, but now I am addicted! Sugared offers the best cupcakes I have ever had in my life! They are that good, the cake is moist and delicious, unlike anything you probably have had. They offer several flavors available daily and also make a few special flavors. They also offer cakes, Bundt cakes, milkshakes, cookies and more. Treat yourself to the best!“

“They have the best customer service. I got a cookie tin and canolis. Both were of such high quality. Great Italian bakery!“

“Delicious cupcakes and top tier customer service!“

“You will definitely get the by far the best tomato pie in Philly hands down p.s get there early because they most definitely will sale out!!!!“

“Cash or Venmo only.

I got my favorite beef curry puff (puff pastry stuffed with beef curry) and my new favorite, a deep fried shrimp dumpling/egg roll thing. So so so good. Each item is about $2-3 and so good!
I just love this place.“

“Bonnie has absolutely the BEST bagels in Philly (and among the top I've ever had). You can smell and taste the sesame, and zaatar is my favorite. Croissants are also superb. Other things are perhaps not as divine, but many savory (hand pies, savory spicy scones) and sweet (cinnamon buns) offerings are quite good.“

“Listennnnn! those mini Sweet Potato pies were to die for!!! I'll be back soon! ❤️ 🔥“

“Came all the way here from New York! I have two daughters with celiac disease and finding a delicious hot pretzel doesn’t really exist. Well, I should say it didn’t exist, until now! My daughter had the cinnamon roll and the pretzel both gluten-free and she was obsessed! My husband and I had some regular items and those were beyond delicious! Truly worth the ride! So good!“

“They always have great pastries compliant are the best“

“Love this place! She has the BEST gluten free/dairy free desserts! 💯❤️“

“Love this place. Everyone is always so nice and accommodating. And you can’t beat their $1.75 cupcakes! Love them.“

“They always have great pastries compliant are the best“

“Love the cream donuts and German style cheese pies. I think a 100th anniversary tee-shirt is in order! Something retro looking that comes in a few color options 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻“

“They always have great pastries compliant are the best“

“When in South Philadelphia one must go to…“

“I've always had good baked goods here - it's becoming a traditional stop when we come to the city! Best things I've had here are the maple oatmeal scones and the brown butter pound cake - phenomenal! What baked goods are supposed to taste like!“

“We just had our first taste of goodness from Tartes. Their tartlets are pretty and scrumptious! Whether you're looking for a dessert for a romantic or holiday dinner, a gift for a birthday or host, or just a special treat for yourself, Tartes is the place! Their offerings are yummy for the eyes and the tastebuds!“

“Platinum House of Sweets created the wedding cake of our dreams! Not only was it stunning to look at, but it was absolutely delicious. From the very first bite, we were hooked—it was everything we wanted and more. Our guests couldn’t stop raving about the flavors, and neither could we. In fact, we were genuinely craving it long after it was finished! The team at Platinum House of Sweets truly outdid themselves, perfectly balancing beauty and taste to create a cake that was as memorable as the day itself. “beignets, almond croissants, plain croissants. cash only“

“Great food, incredibly friendly staff and wonderful atmosphere. Highly, highly recommend.“

“Oh my!!!…was fortunate enough yesterday to win a boo cake at a networking event. I have never had one, but it looked amazing. I brought back to my office at Ambotte.com and the entire cake was gone. It was delicious. All who ate it were impressed with how amazing this cake was. Thank you for the opportunity of letting us try it. I guarantee we will be buying cakes in the future!!!“

“I called from Iowa today and the sweetest girl answered. I wanted to order a cake for an older gentleman who didn’t have a very good birthday. The girl was so polite and told me she would check with her boss about delivery. In a few minutes she called back and told me they would be able to deliver the cake TODAY!!!! He got it and was thrilled💕Thank you so much!!!! Top notch customer service 💕💕💕💕“

“I normally recommend this place. Normally all the desserts I get so not disappoint. This past visit, I ordered the galaxy brownie cookie and the cookies and cream cheesecake that I’ve been looking forward too for a year. The cheesecake has good flavor but over baked so it’s gummy and chewy and not silky and smooth.“

“I had an amazing time! I attended the Valentine’s Day cake decorating class and it exceeded my expectations. The instructions were phenomenal, and the food, appetizers, and drinks were amazing as well. Tatiana was so knowledgeable, personable, and engaging. She truly created a beautiful environment. I loved hearing her story and seeing her and her mom work together to put on such an incredible event.

I would recommend this 10 times over! No matter the time of year or the occasion, you will have an amazing experience.“
