Kaplan's New Model Bakery is a neighborhood favorite for fresh rye and pumpernickel rolls like kipple, challah, and onion. The prices are awesome, and the staff is friendly and sweet. Their cherry cheese danish is excellent, and the bagels are fantastic. Though some pastries may not be as fresh, the overall experience is highly recommended.
