“Seating was quick and easy upon checking in. All of the staff were kind and courteous. Our server was attentive and repeatedly came over to our table to see if we needed anything. The food was good. I ordered the hot shrimp and salmon sandwich and thought both were good. Our table split 2 orders of crab fries because you can't go to chickies and not get crab fries, they're always good.“

When the waiter came around to ask how it was I told her to look at the steak that doesn't look like medium she told her boss the boss said clearly it was not a medium steak and would cook another one for me. I said no I will eat this they did take it off the bill which I was pleased with but I do like my steaks medium still a little pink. Everything else was good. I wish they would still serve baked potatoes“

The hours are perfect as I generally go to use the simulators before work in the morning and work on my swing or play a round. With the technology they have and following Matt’s direction I feel like I’ll be performing a lot better once I get on an actual course. Highly recommend.“

If you do not speak Spanish or know how to read Spanish that is not a problem here their menu is biligual, and so are the staff. This place is were I go to get a home style meal from the islands. My favorite is their sweet plantain, stewed chicken, arroz con gandules, and salad(***put oil and vinegar on it not salad dressing it cuts the fat from the food you're eating to refresh you pallet). They have tons of options to choose from too, just know that if you going here on a Saturday or Sunday be ready for a crowd because this is THE best place to go for Puerto Rican food in Philly!“

Our waitress was the cutest, and when she found out it was for my mother's day, she took an extra effort to write it on our check. Her name is Mackenzie, she was sweet, on point, and gave us her all. “My girlfriend and I were visiting Philly from Oregon, looking for a good dive on a Tuesday night. Struck out like 3 times—then we found Grumpy's.

Opened the door and realized they allowed smoking indoors. Neither of us are smokers (I quit 11 years ago), but we absolutely loved that they allowed it. And we aren't right wingers either, we're pretty lib. People are as free to smoke as they are to leave. I hadnt seen a bar like that since I was a teenager. We both definitely took showers immediately upon getting back to the hotel though.

They have cheap drinks, cash only, bartender was a bit standoffish until I tipped him a modest amount on our first round; understandable. He was a G the rest of the night. They were the only place we found that had late-night karaoke on a Tuesday, complete with a jukebox loaded with Creed. But we just played Booty Man by Tim Wilson the whole time anyway.

One pool table, quality felt and cues. We played some local people for fun and won because they scratched on the 8-ball. They gave us a lot of great recommendations on where to go for Wednesday and Thursday karaoke.

Great people here, made a lot of friends. Highly recommend. Showed up at 1 am so we didn't eat any of the food.“
