The Plough & the Stars Reviews
Authentic Irish! Amazing Brunch and fare! If you want to go for a beautiful food and beautiful people, this place is for you! The variety of music and friendly faces, as well as other activities and specials that they offer on a regular basis is an extra bonus! My favorite was the personalized Guinness foam! Oops and I almost forgot the absolutely delicious apple bread, pudding with caramel sauce! Jordan was our waiter. He was fabulous!
What a great late lunch spot while we were staying in the area. A fellow transplant patient like my husband recommended to us as they were so accommodating and they did not disappoint . It was our first real approved outing after his double lung transplant . The Guinness casserole was the best we had ever eaten . I had the salmon wrap which was also just as delicious .It was honestly just great service , chill vibe and the food was fantastic . We came back to the Gift of life...read full review

The Plough & the Stars offers delicious Irish food in a lively yet well-organized atmosphere. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring guests have a good experience. The restaurant can host larger groups, making it suitable for gatherings. The menu includes a variety of dishes such as calamari, Guinness Casserole, chicken wrap, fish & chips, Plough Steak Fritte, Irish-style chicken curry, salmon and shrimp, and shepherd's pie. Recent reviews highlight the excellent Haddock fish and chips, which are a step above the usual options and worth trying. The bar area is spacious with plenty of seating for any group size, and it features a good draft beer list along with a fully stocked bar. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating, and it is conveniently located near the subway in Old City. The atmosphere can be lively, especially during sports events like soccer or basketball games, with large screen TVs for entertainment. Service is quick and attentive, and prices are considered very fair for the quality of food. Guests often mention the generous portions, especially for fish and chips, which can be shared. The overall experience is positive, with good food, friendly staff, and reasonable prices making it a place worth returning to. It is also recommended to double-check orders, particularly for special items like the Jameson cold brew ice cream.
