Clark is the best bartender I’ve ever seen. The guy knows how to make the best cocktail you’ve ever had and do it at 5x speed. He’s basically a one man show. I really saw him make 12 cocktails at once and do it with style. Go here and make sure he’s working when you come.
Great food, amazing old fashioned cocktails
food and drinks were great. the burger was exactly what I needed. a little run down looking and the chairs kinda were uncomfortable but I'd still come back.

Sassafras is a charming bar in Philly that serves excellent cocktails, whether classic or complex. The atmosphere is cozy, with a soulful playlist and historical charm. The bartenders are knowledgeable and quick, making for a delightful experience. The firecracker shrimp is praised as fantastic. Customers enjoyed delicious wine and a very relaxed atmosphere. Service was great, and the bathrooms were exceptionally clean. The interior design and architecture are incredible, with lovely mosaic floor and tile work. Vintage cocktails are beautifully made, and the food is unique and delicious. They have a phenomenal selection of cocktails to choose from which are unique in comparison to most cocktail bars. Customers also enjoyed a bag of potato chips imported from Ireland. Overall, Sassafras is a gem worth visiting for a drink or a meal.
