“The ultimate roast pork, sharp provolone and broccoli rabe hoagie. Likely the best in town…. I was first introduced to the row house breakfast spot in the Italian Market years back, but I believe that location closed? So glad this outpost still exists….“

“I’ve been sober from alcohol for almost 7 years and this was the most enjoyable/comfortable dining experience I’ve had in that time. I’m not a vegan but the meatball parm and cheesesteak tots had me reconsidering. Also, the prices are really fair considering they include the tip in the pricingq. 10/10 recommend. Will be back soon!“

“Stockyard Sandwich is incredible! I got the chopped cheese, and it was perfection – juicy, flavorful, and packed with the right amount of everything. The staff was super friendly, and the vibe felt warm and welcoming. Can’t wait to come back for another!“

“Still Great ! Love to keep coming back here as a tradition whether I’m gone for long periods of time or short.
Even a long line wrapping around their stall is quicker than waiting in some drive-thrus.
Just have fun trying to snag a corner to eat in ;)“

“My friend was in a real bad car accident this past summer. He got banged up pretty bad and is in a rehab in Ambler, Pa and will be there for a long time. He lives in South Philly and loves Primos. He calls me before I go see him and asks me to pick him up a hoagie and dirty pudding. The staff is great and makes his hoagie exactly the way he likes it. This is a top notch establishment and makes my friend really happy.Thank you Primos!!“

“The Italian was one of the best hoagies I've had in a while. The flavors melded together perfectly, and the seeded roll truly brought the whole thing together and took it up a notch. Not to mention that the "mini" sandwich was the size of my forearm! Sad I didn't discover this place sooner, but happy I finally did! Can't wait to go back to try the other items“

“It’s was a beautiful night in Philadelphia and I stop into this establishment September 2023. All of the windows were open and smell of meat being cooked is what dragged me inside.Colby( like the cheese) was our cashier and provided OUTSTANDING service! My friends and I ordered three different cheesesteak sandwiches and was blown away by the flavor of the meat in the freshness of the cheese.I wish I order two sandwiches. I want to eat there I want to eat when I got back to my hotel.“

“Located inside Human Robot (nice vibe, great service and excellent beer) Poe's sandwiches are absolutely delicious and really creative, as are the fries (and they are not soggy). Everything is well executed with the ingredients perfectly balanced. It is hard to settle on what to order. Seoulgirl is fantastic and I had a bite of a Baby Wook which was delicious too. The service at both Poe's and Human Robot is down to earth and friendly. Its an easy walk from Temple University and worth the trip! Already planning my next visit!“

“The Philly Porchetta might seriously be the best sandwich I’ve ever had. It’s got it all - delicious ciabatta bread, rapini pesto, melted cheese, generous serving of sliced pork, and a gigantic chunk of chicharron. It’s gooey and crunchy. Big sandwich - enough for two if not very hungry.“

The value for the food was fairly price; got 4 banana pancakes for around $10. The pancakes were very delicious and they were perfectly cook. Don’t sleep on good deli!“

“I just went here for the first time and will definitely be going back any time I'm in a bad mood. The clerk (owner?) Was just so over-the-top friendly and wholesome. What a great way to top off my day. I haven't even touched the food yet but I'm sure it's fantastic.
Here again for a fantastic meal. Wish I could keep leaving five stars over and over again.“

They also have a few grocery type items if you need something, I haven’t yet but nice to know it’s there just in case. Workers are all very nice and the food is always made to order. “Jonathan was an absolute joy to work with for our group order of 14 sandwiches for our volleyball team. He was super flexible as we weren't sure of our exact delivery time and location until 12 hours prior since we didn't know our playing schedule. Delivery was right on time and all sandwiches were accounted for and delicious! They were huge portions and definitely couldn't finish in one seating. The bread was delicious and my sandwich had a ton of turkey. An amazing value for sure! They even gave all of us extra bread pudding as an appreciation of our business (it was DELICIOUS!). We hope to return to Philadelphia in 2025 for the Northeast Qualifier Volleyball tournament so we can work with Jonathan again. Thanks a ton, Jonathan & William!“

“I just moved into Rittenhouse Claridge and my experience has been great so far! John in the leasing office was very helpful and answered my many questions very promptly. Anita was at the front desk during my move in and is so pleasant and helpful, she made the experience very smooth. My apartment was very clean when I moved in. Also, the location of the building is amazing! Lastly, If you need parking, there is a garage under the building operated by LAZ parking, and Bala, the garage attendant, is wonderful. So far, I would definitely recommend living at Rittenhouse Claridge!“

“George’s Sandwich Shop is a Philadelphia classic, a place where sandwich-making is an art and tradition reigns supreme. Since 1936, this Italian Market mainstay has been crafting some of the city’s most beloved sandwiches. The menu features favorites like the succulent roast pork sandwich, the hearty Italian sausage with peppers and onions, and even the adventurous tripe sandwich for the daring diner. It’s a small shop with a big heart, where the staff greets you with a smile and every sandwich is made with care. For a taste of Philly’s sandwich legacy, George’s is a must-visit spot that’s rich in flavor and history.“

“The food was excellent and good size portions. The chicken was wrapped in tin foil to contain the bbq sauce and prevent the fries from getting soggy. the only thing I would change is romain lettuce instead of ice berg in the Greek salad. Also the tomatoes weren’t ripe at all. Otherwise 10 out of 10.“

“Can't say enough positive things! We had my husband's surprise party here and everyone LOVED it! Not only was the food yummy (holy mozzarella) but the staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make the night special. They went as far as to coordinate with me to have a decoy sales person at the store entrance when we arrived ensuring that it was a total surprise when he walked down the stairs to find 17 of his closest friends waiting with drinks in hand. Great food, awesome staff, love the BYOB. Highly recommend private events here!“

“I had the cheesesteak with Cooper sharp cheese, and it was great. My only complaint with my sandwich was the amount of mayo that was put on it. I couldn't tell the difference between the cheese and the mayo. Next time, I'll get lite “

“This is the first review I've ever written, on any platform! But I feel the insuppressible urge to say this:I bought the Honey Maple Turkey Sandwich.I took a bite.I knelt, I smiled, and then I cried.P.S. The kneeling down part is obviously an exaggeration, but everything else is true. This sandwich... man... it works great wonders. I've never thought I'd write a review for a freaking sandwich, but here I am. And I hope you will too.“

“Get the cheesesteak hoagie almost every Friday to break 20s for ump fees for some sport leagues. It is cash only, but the food is great.
Parking: URBN cafeteria shares a parking lot with it, but the cafeteria is only open Tuesday to Thursday. Parking lots get full then but otherwise super easy to park the other four days a week.“

“3 J's: Your Neighborhood One-Stop Shop
Finally gave 3 J's a try after driving by countless times and I'm glad I did! This place is a hidden gem offering a little bit of everything. Their cheesesteak and fries were a solid choice for a quick lunch. It's clear why this spot is a neighborhood favorite. Fast service, clean environment, and a menu that covers breakfast and lunch. Definitely returning to explore their breakfast options!
Parking: 2nd street is a busy street but you should be able to find a spot down the street.“

“When I first started teaching at Temple this truck was called $5 Foot Long. Now, you pay $5.15 for a 6 inch sandwich, and you can see the artifacts of many price hikes painted on the side of the truck. Honestly, it's still a pretty good deal. Just understand the value proposition here: cheap, dependable lunch. If that's what you're after, Foot Long delivers. It's not the best hoagie you can get, but it's not bad. They do enough volume/business that everything is always fresh. Real hoagie rolls, soft and chewy--porous enough to soak up the mayo. Shredded lettuce, thin tomato slices, sweet white onion rings. They're clearly champions when it comes to operating the electric deli slicer. However, with such low prices, they need to be rigorous about portion control; don't expect overstuffed sandwiches like you'd get (for at least twice the price) at a top South Philly hoagie shop. This is more like what you'd get from an average pizza joint, which is good, it means it doesn't taste artificial and loaded with sodium & MSG, like Wawa or Subway or Jimmy John's or Potbelly. Of course, you also can't order prosciutto, mortadello, homemade turkey, slow roasted rare beef, baby swiss, real Italian sharp provolone or any of the fancy ingredients that have become the norm in Philly (it is one of the world's greatest sandwich towns). So, here's the bottom line: you won't be amazed, but you'll get a decent sandwich at a great price. While many food trucks have come and gone over the years, Foot Long remains. It's consistent.“
