The amount of meat was gratifying. The bread was very fresh. I HIGHLY recommend coming here if you want high quality cheesesteaks. “What an AMAZING and DELIGHTFUL shop!! The sandwiches were literally to die for! I got the Knucklehead on a Sesame Roll toasted and jt was SO good!!!! I went with my boyfriend! They played soft Sinatra music and the vibe was totally chill. The Host was funny and laid back and the food was impeccable! We didn’t even notice but the Owner was at a table in the shop and was so friendly! I literally felt like a welcomed guest in his home! “Hershel's East Side Deli is located near the center of the Reading Terminal Market, and was quite busy when I went, although it was Saturday around lunch time so that's to be expected. Great service across the board, was met with a smile by everyone I interacted with despite the crowds. Getting to the main attraction, the pastrami sandwich is out-of-this-world delicious. One of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I originally thought the price ($17) was a bit much, but it is well worth it for the experience and the portion size was so large I easily made two full meals out of it.“

“A staple in the Reading Terminal market, so I had to give it a try. Roast Pork Sandwich with peppers - The sandwich came with some thickly wrapped butchers paper. Thinly cut roast pork was kinda dry by them self, but it got better as you make your way down the sandwich. Loads of sauce, soup? Was slowly making its way down the sandwich, thankfully for the abundance for paper there was not too much drippage. Would recommend opening it up and eating it on a table.“

“Stopped here for dinner tonight and enjoyed it! The hot roast beef was very tasty, and so was the rice pudding! My husband and I split an order of chili cheese fries, which were okay. The atmosphere was a little lacking- the place felt old and a little run-down, and everything was served on small plastic plates, which was a little cheesy. That being said, id still go back if I was really craving a roast beef sandwich!“

“I have been a truck driver in this area for years now. I have seen this place nearly everyday and today i finally decided to give it a chance. I am highly critical of all food establishments as you can see from my other reviews...And im so glad i did....The gentleman that owns the place is absurdly nice, hes so great and polite.He seemed like he knows the locals well and they stop it on long trips from different places for a bite to eat.I got a hoagie with corned beef, lettuce tomato mayo oil etc.It was GREAT.I am constantly at delis and places in and out all around Philadelphia area cause of my profession and this one tops all of the chain sandwhich shops in the area. AND DAMN CHEAPER TOO WITHOUT SACRIFICING QUALITY AT ALL.Everything was fresh and so tasteful. “I got the vegetarian sandwich and usually a caprese style sandwich gets soggy or has too much balsamic... not this sandwich. The bread was perfect and not soggy. It was definitely a lighter sandwich, but i would definitely get the is again.“

“We have lived within 5 minutes of Stockyard and finally tried it today! Wow, it was delicious. The whole pig sandwich was so flavorful . The pork had a great sweet savory flavor which played nicely with the more subtle vegetables. The only thing I would change was having it served on a more crusty bread but otherwise fantastic. The fried chicken sandwich was also busting with flavor; the sauce on it was delicious. The portions were more than generous and I had lunch and dinner as did my husband“

“Went here for the first time today and I had a great experience. IHop down the street was packed at the time so my boyfriend picked this spot after walking down the street from there. Soon as i came into the cafe I was immediately impressed with the interior decor and the place just feels so cozy. I got a spanish omelette sandwich and they gave me so many options that comes with it such as fries, bread, and cheese. Cashier lady was really patient and kind too as I asked for least amount of calories and she tried her best to help me figure out what I wanted to get. I got my order to dine in and it was more of a casual dining experience where they give you plates and baskets that you can leave in the bin once you’re done. Food was good really fast and nice service.“

“I just moved into Rittenhouse Claridge and my experience has been great so far! John in the leasing office was very helpful and answered my many questions very promptly. Anita was at the front desk during my move in and is so pleasant and helpful, she made the experience very smooth. My apartment was very clean when I moved in. Also, the location of the building is amazing! Lastly, If you need parking, there is a garage under the building operated by LAZ parking, and Bala, the garage attendant, is wonderful. So far, I would definitely recommend living at Rittenhouse Claridge!“

“Work at senior center ambler and was introduced to this place by coworker. The best Italian hoagie in pa. My mother in her 70s like it, and my family visiting from abroad. :) They hired someone new to make the hoagie, still good but prefer the friendly young lady who works there continuing to make them.Happy New Year to them!“

“The cheese steaks at this location are the best ive eaten in all my 14 years of life. The staff is super nice and they take their time preparing the food with love and care. “The mofongo and the empanadas are delicious. I have been going there at least once a week and get the ripe plantain mofongo with chicharron mixed in. You can then add shrimp, fried pork, sausage, pork chops, fried chicken, fried cheese or steak. You get an large portion of the mofongo and a large portion of whatever you add as the side. The empanadas are warm and flaky. I also tried the fried sweet plantains but unfortunately they were not so sweet, but I think they didn't have ripe enough plantains at the time. I will give them a second chance with the fries sweet plantains. The service has been really nice and they are very friendly. For the amount of food you get, prices are acceptable.“

“personally, despite being vegetarian I am a big hoagie girl. and dare I say there is a right and wrong way to make a hoagie. have no fear: jersey mikes does it the right way. for a vegetarian, some hoagie establishments think to compensate the lack of meat with cheese. my biggest pet peeve . but jersey mikes knows what to do. I order a cheese hoagie with lettuce onions pickles salt pepper oregano oil and vinegar (chips on the side). with the jersey mikes hoagie everything is balanced. I will not find a inch thick layer of cheese with just a few lettuce shreds. it's even, consistent, fresh. what more can you ask for. I haven't been in store, but generally jersey mikes has a few tables and it's quite quick with an assembly line style thing going on. they also have vickie's chips which is a win in my book.“

“Great service and delicious sandwiches. I always receive a prompt and friendly greeting and quick service when I come in. The order online service works great and I love that my sandwich is ready for me when I arrive. The Bobbie is sooooo good, I crave it all year long. The Cole Turkey is nice too. Their shredded turkey is delicious and never dry. They put just the right amount of mayo on the Bobbie, enough to know it’s there but not overpowering. “The location of this Doubletree is excellent if you wanted to be near all the downtown Philly attractions. Numerous destinations are within walking distance. However, the rooms it offers can be a hit or miss. Our original assigned room had a leaking faucet that dripped continuously. Furthermore, one of the bed sheets had some kind of stain on it. Kudos to the management for their quick response as soon as we brought it to their attention. We were assigned an adjacent room within minutes. They updated our digital key as well so that we didn't have to swap it out at the front desk. It seems that all rooms have a great view to the downtown city skyline. They do charge a fee for parking, as the parking garage is right next door. Overall, a good option to stay for overnight if you happens to be in City Center for business, or visiting theater/other attractions.“
